Shaving Cream Technique

We will make this card using the shaving cream technique at my next class at Alamance Community College on May 11, 2011. Each background made with shaving cream and reinkers always turns out different, depending on the amount of ink and the amount of mixing you do. It's fun to try.
Put a little shaving cream (any brand, doesn't matter) on a styrofoam plate, wax paper, or a piece of tin foil.
Add a couple of drops of ink from two or three colors of reinkers.
Stir just a little bit with a wooden stick or plastic knife or spoon. Don't over-stir because the colors become muddy.
Put your cardstock face down in the mixture. (I found glossy cardstock works better than smooth cardstock, just my preference).
Remove cardstock from mixture. In a circular motion wipe off excess shaving cream with a paper towel.
Let air dry, or to speed up drying time, use a heat tool.
Complete your card. It's that easy.
Recipe: Stamps: Thoughts and Prayers; Paper: Always Artichoke, Pacific Point, Whisper White Glossy and Whisper White CS; Ink: Always Artichoke; Accessories: Itty Bitty Shaper Punch, Corner Rounder punch, Pearls, Whisper White Organza Ribbon.
