Guest Designer, Rita Shoe

     My friend,  Rita Shoe, spoils me in many ways, and one of them is by giving me beautiful cards she has designed, and I want to thank her and share with you the many gifts she possesses.
     First is her gift of color.  She combined Pistachio Pudding, Midnight Muse, Crisp Cantaloupe and  Whisper White cardstock.  Next, is her gift of design.  Look how creatively she arranged the Hexagon punch pieces on the Hexagon embossed Whisper White card stock.   Awesome. The stamp set is Six-Sided Sampler, and the little rosette is made from SU's new Buttons & Blossoms Simply Pressed Mold and White Simply Pressed Clay.
     Be looking for this card in one of my upcoming classes.  I enjoy versatile cards, and this card certainly qualifies.
     All of these supplies can be purchased in my SU on-line store, open 24/7, where you can shop in your pajamas, and never have to leave home, and your order comes right to your door.  Pretty cool, huh?  Click Here to shop.
     I hope you have enjoyed this post.  Thank you for stopping by and have a great day.

It's Christmas with You're Amazing Stamp Set

Even though there are not any holiday or Christmas stamps in SU's new catalog, I used a non-Christmas stamp set to make a Christmas card.  Pretty cool, huh?
If you would like to make this card, please plan to come to my July 2013 card class, and make as many as you would like.  My class schedule is posted on this blog, as well as my Stampin' Up! website at:  www.lindafisher.stampinup.net.
Recipe:
Stamps:  You're Amazing, Delightful Dozen;  Paper:  Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, Raspberry Ripple, and Whisper White card stock;  Ink:  Versa Mark;  Accessories:  Simply Scored, 1 3/8" circle punch, Pewter embossing powder, heat tool, dimensionals.
I hope you have enjoyed this post.  Thank you for stopping by and have a great day.

Serene Silhouettes

This card uses, beautiful Fall colors, and to me, are wonderful for sympathy cards.
To give my card extra texture without adding another layer of card stock, I distressed the edges of the Pumpkin Pie and Natural White card stock in a flash with SU's new Distress Tool.
Recipe:  Stamps:  Serene Silhouettes, Because I Care (retired, and maybe SU will bring it back, who knows?);  Paper:  Always Artichoke, Pumpkin Pie, Natural White;  Ink:  Always Artichoke;  Accessories:  Scalloped Oval and Large Oval punches, and Distress Tool (P. 157 of the 2013-14 catalog).

If you would like to order any of the supplies to make this card, please visit my on-line store 24/7 here.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day,
Linda

Chalk Talk

I was just itching to use my new Strawberry Slush ruffled ribbon, and thought I would try it in combo with SU's new set, Chalk Talk.  The background is a technique called Polished Stone, and even though the technique has been around a long time, it is new to me.  I am looking forward to trying the Polished Stone technique with other colors, it was easy and fun to make this card.

Recipe:   Stamps:  Chalk Talk;  Paper:  Whisper White, Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana, and Shimmery White cardstock;  Ink:  Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush classic ink pads and Strawberry Slush and Crisp Cantaloupe reinkers;  Accessories:  Big Shot (of course), Chalk Talk Framelits, Strawberry Slush ruffled ribbon, Alcohol, cotton balls, spritzer bottle, and dimensionals.

If you would like to try the Polished Stone technique on your own, Meg Loven has a wonderful tutorial here.  She is both fun to watch and listen to.

I hope you have enjoyed today's post.  Thank you for stopping by and have a great day.

Old Fashioned Telephone

My friend, Sharon Ward, sent the post of Heather Klump's  card to me and I just had to CASE it.  You can see Heather's design Here.  I changed the colors, and am tickled pink with this card.  The one thing that makes this card really pop is the Designer Builder brad I used for the dial.  It looks like the rotary dial on an old phone, doesn't it?  Sad, these brads are going away May 31.  I guess I'll just have to stock up, which I did, and even though the brads are now retired, I am still going to offer this card in my July card classes.   Check out my class schedule on my blog, and come join me.

Recipe:
Stamps:  Oh, Hello;
Paper:  Whisper White, Basic Black, Smoky Slate, and Basic Gray card stock, Storytime designer series paper (until June 3, 2013);
Ink:  Basic Black;
Accessories:  1 3/8", 1 1/4", 3/4" circle punches, circle punch from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack, corner rounder, paper piercer and mat pack, Designer Builder brads (available until May 31, 2013), 1/4" Basic Gray grosgrain stitched ribbon,

I hope you have enjoyed todays post, and have a wonderful day,
Linda

Best of Birthdays and Washi Tape

Wouldn't you want to get one of these bright and cheery birthday cards in the mail?  I know I would, and when I saw the Washi tape in my new SU catalog, I said , "Washi tape to make a card, really?"

Yes, it is so easy to use.  Another card I put together in less than 10 minutes.  I drew a pencil mark diagonally from corner to corner on a piece of white cardstock.  Then started rolling the tape on the cardstock following my pencil mark.  The rest was easy because I had a pattern to follow. You get three rolls of Washi tape for just $4.95.  You can find the tape on P. 171 of the 2013-14 catalog, item #129314.

I will be offering this card in my July 2013 classes in my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC 27253. The dates of my July classes are:  July 9, 10, 11 or 13.   If you would like to attend any of my July 2013 classes, please let me know either by email, or phone.  I would love to have you.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day,

You're Amazing

Another card I'm offering at my June 2013 classes.  Loved how these colors coordinated.   A video I saw on YouTube showed how to "shrink" the layers of the framelit, and I cannot remember where I saw it.  It's easy though, it really is.

Stamps:  You're Amazing;
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Calypso Coral, Wild Wasabi cardstock, Tea for Two dsp;
Ink:  Calypso Coral;
Accessories:  Big Shot (of course), Apothecary Accents Framelit, Mat Pack and Paper Piercer, Gold Brads, dimensionals.
