World Card Making Day-Thoughts and Prayers

This is another card I am offering at my WCMD class, October 5, 2013.  I am so pleased with the way it turned out.  Since my WCMD is a 10-10-10, ten cards that take approximately 10 minutes each, for just $10.00, I tried very hard to keep the cards clean and simple, and let me say, I find that hard to do.  I did a test run and besides the fact that this card is so beautiful, and sends a loving message, it really does take a little more than 10-12 minutes, but who's counting?

Recipe:  Stamps:  Thoughts and Prayers;  Paper:  Very Vanilla, Bravo Burgundy (retired), Blushing Bride;  Ink:  Bravo Burgundy;  Accessories:  Large and Small Butterfly punches, basic pearl, and time to have fun.

If you live in or near my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC, and would like to attend any of my classes, please let me know.   Get more details right here on my blog, and on my Stampin' Up! website found here

If you would like to purchase any of the supplies to make this card, you may contact me directly, or order from my Stampin Up! website found Here

I hope you have enjoyed this post, and have a wonderful day.

World Card Making Day-Cycle Celebration

Another card for my October 5, 2013 WCMD class.  I am so excited about that special day.  Lots and lots of demonstrators everywhere have card making extravaganzas planned.  I am happy to say, I have every space is filled for my very first World Card Making Day event.

I knew I wanted to use Cycle Celebration for this card, and started out using the bicycle as my focal point.  OK, so I finished the card (top one), and it coordinates with the Birthday Basics dsp, and just look at the bicycles on the dsp.  It looks like thestamped bike is traveling against the traffic, huh?

Then I got to thinking, what if you are making this card at my house and you are not a bike person.  You have never ridden a bike, don't ever want to, and just plain don't want to make a card with a bicycle on it.  What are you going to do?  Well, since our dsp has two printed sides, I just turned it over, and used the other stamps in this darling set, a candle and a soda bottle as my focal point.

I don't know if you can see it very well, I used the polka dot embossing folder on the first and second cards, and not the bottom card.  I can't wait to see how my other ladies are going to design their own cards.  I continually learn from each and everyone who comes to my classes.  Thank you for that.

OK, I've rambled way too long.  Here is what I used to make these special cards:
Stamps:  Cycle Celebration;  Paper:  Whisper White, Crisp Cantaloupe, Bermuda Bay, Raspberry Ripple cardstock and Birthday Basics dsp;  Ink:  Bermuda Bay, Raspberry Ripple classic ink, Summer Starfruit marker;  Accessories:  Big Shot, Oval Framelits (the 3rd and 4th ones from the center), Polka Dot embossing folder, Large Decorative Label Punch (middle card), dimensionals.

If you live in or near my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC, and would like to attend any of my classes, please let me know.   Get more details right here on my blog, and on my Stampin' Up! website found here

World Card Making Day-Oh, Hello

Here is another one of the cards you will make when you come to my class on October 5, 2013.
I will show you how to save card stock, and hide your intentional boo-boo.  Yep, you heard right, hide your intentional boo-boo.  You will punch your scalloped circle out of the 5 1/4 x 4" piece of the Very Vanilla cardstock, then cover your intentional hole with the dsp.  Great way to save paper, huh?

Recipe:  Stamps:  Oh, Hello  Paper:  Very Vanilla, Not Quite Navy, Pacific Point, Blueberry Crisp DSP; Ink: Pacific Point ;  Accessories:  2 3/8" scallop circle punch, Crumb Cake or Very Vanilla taffeta ribbon, bling, dimensionals;  Extras:  Time to have fun.

If you live  near my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC, and would like to attend any of my classes, please let me know.   Get more details right here on my blog, and on my Stampin' Up! website found here

Merry Little Christmas Card Simply Created Kit

Just look at all the cards and tags I made with the Merry Little Christmas Card Simply Created Kit from the Holiday Mini, and I still have one more card to make, with lots of supplies left over for other cards.   I admit, I did add a few other stamp sets and punches, I just couldn't help myself.  The punches were calling my name and begging me to use them.  What's a girl to do, right!!!  My new stamper friend, Gail Cobb, shared these designs with me, and of course, I had to CASE them to share with you.  CASE is the acronym for Copy And Share Everything.

Actually, the completed cards in this kit are beautiful all by themselves, and the only extras you really need are adhesives, a stamp set and ink.  Here are the details for this wonderful find:

The kit is $9.95 and comes with 8 pieces of Coastal Cabana 8 1/2 x 4 1/4" cardstock, which is already scored, 8 white envelopes, 8 die-cut envelope liners, 8 gift tags, 8 pieces of 5 1/4" x 2 1/2" of coordinating dsp, buttons, and bakers twine.  Enough product to make 8 cards with matching envelopes for just $9.95.

Coordinating stamp set, Merry Little Christmas is $10.95 in clear and $13.95 in Wood
The bundle price for the kit and stamp set is $17.95 in clear and $19.95 in wood, a savings of 15%.
When I can save 15%, I have more dollars to spend on other things in the catalog.   Yippee!!!

If you live in or near my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC, and would like to attend any of my classes, or my World Card Making Day (WCMD) class on October 5, 2013,  please let me know.  At my WCMD class will have the opportunity to make 10 cards with envelopes, that take approximately 10 minutes each to complete, for only $10.00. I have a few openings for the afternoon session.  Get more details right here on my blog, and on my Stampin' Up! website found here

Warmth & Wonder

I had originally used Garden Green cardstock for the bottom part of this card.  When my friend, Rita, was visiting, she looked at the former original and thought the Garden Green did not go well with the rest of the card.  Well, here's the deal, Rita knows her colors, for sure.  So with the help of another stamper friend, Michelle, "we", that's the royal we, changed out the green for Marina Mist.  A big thank you to Rita and Chelle.

Recipe:  Stamps:  Warmth & Wonder (a hostess set from the Holiday mini);  Paper:  Real Red, Marina Mist, and Whisper White cardstock;  Ink:  Early Espresso, Marina Mist and Real Red;  Accessories:  Big Shot, Northern Flurry embossing folder, Real Red 1/4" stitched ribbon, 1 3/4" and 1 3/8" circle punches, bling, dimensionals.

If you live in or near my home in Graham, and would like to attend one of my classes, to make this card and others like it,  please let me know. The list of all my upcoming classes is posted right here on my blog, and on my Stampin' Up! website found here.

Halloween and Christmas Banners

I had a banner party with my friends, Karen, Kitty, Rita and Sande. Karen and Kitty made the Halloween banner and Rita and Sande made the Christmas banner.  Aren't these banners fun, as well as having my friends over to help me.   Actually, I did not help them, at all.  I think I was busy working on my next project. Many thanks to all four of my friends, you are treasures.

I was unsure about the kits when I saw them in the Holiday Mini, but then, Karen and I helped Kitty make her's, and I was hooked.  Had to have both kits.

The basic Build a Banner Simply Created Kit is only $19.95, (item #133507), comes with 18 5" x 8" blank canvas paper pennants, 9' of jute twine, and alphabet and image stencils to use over and over.
