Mommy & Me Class Projects

I am hosting a Mommy and Me class this coming Saturday, January 18, 2014, and the projects above are representative of what all of the young, young, adults will be making. Mrs. Jenny Sutton, will be here to teach the wonderful children all about the art of making cards and projects with card stock, rubber stamps, ink, punches, and even the Sizzix Big Shot die cutting machine.

The supplies I used to create these projects are too numerous to list, and if you are interested in learning what products I used, please feel free to email me your request at:  angelsofjoy@gmail.com, and I will respond as promptly as possible.

If you live near my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC 27253 and would like to attend this class with your little one, please let me know. I have just a couple of openings, and the deadline to register is Thursday, January 16, 2014.

Secret Garden and Cork

It was pouring rain today after my class, and my friend, and avid stamper, Michelle Wallace, was just about to leave and guess what?  She had to stay, or risk getting soaked.  So, we put the time to good use and together designed this beautiful card.  Again, I have to say, it is much prettier in person than on my blog.  This is a definite possibility as an offering for my classes on February 4, 6, 8, and 12.  For more information on my February classes, please check my schedule right here on my blog, or on my SU website at:  Here

Recipe:  Stamps:  Secret Garden, Express Yourself;  Paper:  Sahara Sand, Crisp Cantaloupe, Always Artichoke, and Pistachio Pudding cardstock and Sweet Sorbet dsp;  Ink:  Black Stazon ink, and Crisp Cantaloupe, Always Artichoke, and Pistachio Pudding markers;  Accessories:  Big Shot, Adorning Accents Edgelits, Candy Dots, Cork, and dimensionals.

The Sweet Sorbet dsp is available starting January 25, 2014 free with a purchase of $50.00.  The cork came from SU, however; they retired it sometime ago.  I am pretty sure you can purchase cork from most hobby and craft stores.  The cork was fun to work with, easy to stamp and it is very forgiving when coloring.

Zoo Babies

I have had The Zoo Babies stamp set for a couple of months, and have not had an opportunity to use it. When I saw our new Watercolor Wonder dsp in the Spring Mini, I thought, that's it.  Zoo Babies and Watercolor Wonder go together like Apple Pie and Ice Cream, at least I think so.

Recipe:  Stamps:  Zoo Babies;  Paper:  Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo card stock and Watercolor Wonder Designer Specialty Paper;  Ink:  Island Indigo;  Accessories: Daffodil Delight 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals.

I hold classes each month, and if you live near my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC 27253 and would like to attend any of my classes, please let me know.  Check out my January 2014 class schedule right here on my blog, or on my SU website found Here.

The Open Sea

I am offering this beautiful, and very easy card in my January 2014 classes.  My very first class of 2014 was today, and the ladies really liked this card.  I'm so glad.  I saw this card on Frenchie's blog, www.frenchiestamps.com and, I changed the colors and the words that Frenchie used to make it my own.  I hope you like this as much as I do.

Recipe:  Stamps:  The Open Sea, Express Yourself;  Paper:  Baked Brown Sugar, Pool Party, and Naturals White cardstock, Epic Day dsp;  Ink:  Baked Brown Sugar, Pool Party; Accessories:  Stampin' Up! paper trimmer, Trimmer Rotary Addition, Wave Rotary Blade, Brads, Mat Pack, Dimensionals.

The Express Yourself is a Hostess set of 12 stamps that you can get for free when you place an order of $150.00.  It's quite a deal. I made the ocean waves with SU's wave blade and the rotary trimmer. Isn't it cool.  It gives the card just a little dimension, not to much, not to little, just right. Sounds like the story of the three bears,  doesn't it?

I hold classes each month, and if you live near my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC 27253 and would like to attend any of my classes, please let me know.  Check out my January 2014 class schedule right here on my blog, or on my SU website found Here.

Mitzi, The Punch Art Monkey

It amazes me the things one can make with card stock and punches. Isn't Mitzi the cutest monkey?  All of my punch art animals must have a name, or how will I know them apart, right?  I am offering Mitzi as part of my January 2014 classes, and at my Mommy and Me class on January 18th. I know you will love to make her as much as I did. Don't want to make her a Valentine card, how about stamping Happy Birthday in the little heart?  That works too.

I saw Mitzi on Brandy Cox's blog:  http://brandyscards.com.  There you will find a fantastic video tutorial on exactly how to make her, and of course, if you are planning to attend any of my January classes, and I will show you first hand how to put her together.

Supplies used:  Stamps: Filled with Love (retired);   Paper:  Whisper white, Sahara Sand, Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip and Crumb Cake cardstock;  Ink:  Basic Black and Melon Mambo classic ink pad and Chocolate Chip marker;  Accessories:  Big Shot, Hearts a Flutter Framelits, Argyle and Polka Dots embossing folders, lots of punches, googly eyes.

I hold classes each month, and if you live near my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC 27253 and would like to attend any of my classes, please let me know.  Check out my January 2014 class schedule right here on my blog, or on my SU website found Here.

Flower Shop

I am so happy to have the opportunity to share my love for card making with all those who come to my classes.  As I was making this card, I thought about the rewards I receive when I send my one-of-a-kind, handmade cards, and the feeling warms my heart.

This is the kind of card that can brighten anyone's day, don't you think?  I am offering this card at my January 2014 classes, January 7, 9, 11, and 15th, and my special group of ladies on will come on January 28th.   Each person who makes this card will have the opportunity to use the Big Shot to cut out the scalloped edge of the Cherry Cobbler card stock with the Adorning Accents Edgelits, and then use SU's Delicate Designs embossing folder for the beautiful impression that coordinates perfectly with the edgelit.  I think SU's silver glitter paper adds the finishing touch, for sure.

Supplies I used:  Stamps:  Flower Shop, Oh Hello;  Paper:  Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, and Daffodil Delight cardstock, and Silver Glimmer Paper; Ink:  Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler, and Basic Black classic ink;  Accessories:   Big Shot, Adorning Accents Edgelits, Delicate Designs embossing folder, Pansy Punch, dimensionals.

I hold classes each month, and if you live near my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC 27253 and would like to attend any of my classes, please let me know.  Check out my January 2014 class schedule right here on my blog, or on my SU website found Here.

A Happy Heart

A blast from the past.  Yes, A Happy Heart Valentine's Day stamp set is from 2010, and it was one of my favorites.

In each of my classes this year, my plan is to offer kits that I have saved-over from years past.  After my set of classes is over, I keep the kits in tact, and a good thing too, because they come in handy when I want to offer lots of options to the wonderful ladies who grace my home each month.

I usually have a limited supply of the saved-over kits, and if you are planning to attend any of my January 2014 classes, and you would like to make this card in class, please let me know and I will save a kit or two for you.

Supplies I used: Stamps:  A Happy Heart;  Paper:  Real Red, Pretty in Pink, and Very Vanilla card stock, and Sending Love dsp (also from 2010);  Ink:  Real Red;  Accessories: Scalloped Oval, and Large Oval Punches, and Heart-2-Heart punch (retired);

I hold classes each month, and if you live near my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC 27253 and would like to attend any of my classes, please let me know.  Check out my January 2014 class schedule right here on my blog, or on my SU website found Here.
