Butterflies Thinlits

I would like to say I used the Color Me Irresistible Specialty dsp to make the three butterflies, but I cannot.  Why not, because I just ordered it today.  These butterflies were made using the Irresistibly Yours dsp from the last SU Sale-a-bration.  I sponged a 2 1/2 x 1 3/4" piece of Irresistibly Yours with ink and cut them out with the Butterflies Thinlits.  I saw this card on Connie Babbert's blog, and you can see her card and get more details  Here, post of July 25, 2015.

Recipe: Stamp Sets:  Tin of Cards, Best Thoughts;  Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Crushed Curry, Silver Glimmer Paper; Ink: Memento Black, Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry classic ink;  Accessories:  Big Shot, Butterflies Thinlits, Fluttering and Stylish Stripes embossing folders, Sponge Daubers, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals.

July 2015 Hostess Club Projects

My hostess club ladies made these fantastic projects when we met this past Thursday.  They made the basket using the Berry Basket die and made three matching 3 x 3 cards, and one A-2 size card to complete the ensemble.  The butterfly card was made by embossing the Whisper White card stock with the Fluttering embossing folder, then "painting" the embossing folder with Hello Honey ink and an Aqua Painter.  The Vellum butterflies were made by sponging Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey ink on the Vellum, then cutting them out with the framelits die.

Recipe: Stamp Sets:  Watercolor Wings, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Thoughts & Prayers;  Paper: Whisper White, Mossy Meadow, Mint Macaron, Soft Suede, Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, card stock and English Garden dsp; InkMint Macaron, Soft Suede, Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey;  Accessories:  Big Shot, Bold Butterfly Framelits, Butterflies Thinlits, Fluttering and Stylish Stripes embossing folders, Extra Large Oval, Modern Label and Word Window Punches, Tea Lace Paper Doilies,  Sponge Daubers, Dimensionals.

Floral Wings is a set available for free to anyone who hosts a $150.00 party, and it is so many possibilities.   The new Lots of Labels framelits are so much fun to use, and they add the perfect touch to this card, don't you think?  I used the Bold Butterfly Framelit die to cut out the butterfly, easy-peasy.  This card is another option from which to choose when you come to my July 14, 16, and 18, 2015 classes.

I saw this sketch on Sandi MacIver's blog.  Changed the colors, added a few embellishments, you know, to make it my own, and here you have it.  You can see Sandi's card Here, post of July 1, 2015.

World of Dreams & Wetlands for my July 2015 classes

World of Dreams is a set that can be used for graduation, birthday, retirement, thank you, and that's off the top of my head.  (Just where did that statement come from, anyway?)  Wetlands is one of my go-to sets, especially for the words.

I am offering this card for my July 14, 16, and 18, 2015 classes, and if you live in my area and are able to attend, you too, will have the opportunity to make this beautiful card.

The dimensions are:
Base of Rich Razzleberry is 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Layer of Whisper White is 5 1/4" x 4"
Layer of Lost Lagoon is 5" x 3 3/4"
Rich Razzleberry banner strip is 5 1/4" x 2"
Whisper White banner strip is 5" x 1 3/4"
Lost Lagoon dsp banner strip is 4 3/4" x 1 1/2"

The Triple Banner Punch is designed for card stock in widths of 2", 1 1/2", and 1".  I wanted each banner to a smaller frame, so I adjusted my card stock, and had to give my card stock a little push into the punch, and it worked!!!

To get the small background of Rich Razzleberry framed behind my Whisper White Deco Framelit layer, I cut two Razzleberry backgrounds from the same framelit as the white, and cut the ends from each one, and glued them to the back of my white top layer. See the pictures below.

Recipe:  Stamp Sets: World of Dreams, Wetlands; Paper: Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Lost Lagoon card stock and 2015-16 In-colors DSP;  InkRich Razzleberry, and Lost Lagoon; Accessories Big Shot, Deco Labels Framelits, Triple Banner Punch, Lost Lagoon Ribbon, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals.
