Number of Years, Suite Sayings and Botanical Builder Framelit Dies

Number of Years is such a beautiful and versatile set, I really enjoyed making it.  The Blackberry Bliss and Lost Lagoon card stock I used are SU retired colors.
I am excited to share this one with all of my wonderful ladies attending my August 9th, August 11th, and August 13th classes.
Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Blackberry Bliss scored at 4 1/4.
  • The next layer is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Lost Lagoon
  • Next is a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Whisper White.
  • I sponged the Whisper White piece with Pool Party ink before I stamped my words.
  • I stamped the words from Suite Sayings set with Blackberry Bliss ink, and the flower image from Number of Years was stamped with Lost Lagoon and Pool Party.
  • The flower and fern were cut out with Whisper White card stock, using the Big Shot and the Botanical Builder Framelit Dies.
  • Before I put the flower and fern on the card, I adhered 1/2 of a Doily, and covered it with some Lost Lagoon ribbon.
  • Remember to decorate your envelope, can't leave the house naked, right?

Joyful Nativity and Copper Embossing Powder

Once again I used Joyful Nativity (see post of July 14, 2016) to create this Christmas card, and I enjoyed (what else is there?), using the new Copper embossing powder.
I am offering this one at all of my August 9th, 11th, and 13th classes.
Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Cherry Cobbler scored at 4 1/4.
  • The next layer is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Very Vanilla.
  • Next is a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Cherry Cobbler.
  • Next is a 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 piece of This Christmas Speciality DSP.
  • I wrapped some Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine around the Very Vanilla piece before I glued it to the Cherry Cobbler base.
  • The scalloped Cherry Cobbler piece backing the focal point image is 3 x 3 and cut with the Layering Square Framelits.
  • The image was stamped with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed with Copper embossing powder on a piece of Very Vanilla, then cut out with the Layering Square Framelits. (if you do not have the Layering Frames, just cut a 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 square).
  • The words were stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink on a 5/8 x 3 piece of Very Vanilla, and adhered to a 3/4 x 3 1/8 piece of Cherry Cobbler CS.
  • Remember to decorate your envelope, can't leave the house naked, right?

You're Sublime for my August 2016 classes

You're Sublime is a happy stamp set of 5 images.  In addition to this cute little wheelbarrow of flowers, there is a snappy crab, an awesome frog, a peppy camper, and a mighty handsome submarine.  I combined the wheelbarrow of thanks and the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper stack (retired), and am "tickled pink" with the results.  If you would like to order this set in wood, click Right Here!! and if you would like to order this set in clear mount, click Right Here!!
This is an offering at all of my August 9, 11, and 13, 2016 classes.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 11 x 4 1/4 piece of Rose Red, scored at 5 1/2.
  • The next layer is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Blushing Bride.
  • The Whisper White piece is 5 x 3 3/4, embossed with the Stylish Strips EF.  It is retired, and I'm sure any EF you choose will work just fine.
  • The vertical piece of Crumb Cake is 4 3/4 x 1 3/4.
  • The vertical piece of Love Blossoms DSP is 4 1/2 x 1 1/2.
  • The horizontal piece of Blushing Bride is 3 7/8 x 1 3/4.
  • The horizontal piece of Love Blossoms DSP is 3 3/4 x 1 5/8.
  • I used a 2 1/2" circle punch for the Rose Red piece behind the stamped image.
  • I stamped my image onto a piece of Whisper White card stock with Tuxedo Black ink, colored with markers, and cut the circle with the Big Shot and the Circle Framelits collection.
  • Remember to decorate your envelope, can't leave the house naked, right?

Oh Happy Day Card Kit

The Oh Happy Day Card Kit is absolutely wonderful, and just look at all the beautiful cards you can make with it. This is my sweet friend, Retha Fulp's cards she made this past Saturday, and it only took four short hours.
Everything you need to make all 20 cards are in the kit, a coordinating stamp set (only available with this kit), a clear block, and an ink spot.  The only things you will need to provide are your favorite adhesives, glue dots and paper snips.
The box the kit comes in is pretty, as well.  Put a gift tag on the box lid, and there you have it, a from-the-heart gift, anyone would enjoy receiving.
You can find this kit on page 6 and 7 of the 2016-17 Stampin' Up! Catalog.  If you would like to order this kit, click Right Here!!

Bear Hugs from Guest Designer, Retha Fulp

My sweet friend, downline, and very talented guest designer, Retha Fulp, made this special, over-sized card for my upcoming birthday.  She searched the internet for the little pitcher, the cracker box, and the plate & cheese, shrunk, printed, cut them out and popped them up.  So appropriate for such a cute card, and the Lovely as a Tree set added just the right background for those darling little bears.  It's sure a keeper for years to come.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Popcorn Box Thinlits Dies-So Cute

Stampin' Up! introduced the Popcorn Box Thinlits Dies in their 2016-17 Catalog.  This die is so darn cute, and so worth the price.  So many possibilities, and there are a gazillion ideas on the internet and Pinterest.  Well, maybe not a gazillion, maybe hundreds.
My wonderful, loyal, hostess club ladies were the recipients of these cuties, and the flavored popcorn inside these boxes was delicious.
See the video below for more details.
I used the retired Scalloped Oval Punch for my sentiment, just because I don't have the Layering Ovals Framelits, not yet, anyway.

If you have any questions, let me know.

Birthday Blossoms

I combined some of the brand new items in the Stampin' Up! 2016-17 catalog to make this fun card.  This easy-peasy card is an offering for all of my August 2016 classes.
Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Sweet Sugarplum scored at 4 1/4.
  • The next layer is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Emerald Envy.
  • The DSP is from the Playful Palette paper stack. The skinny piece, (the one that is glued crocked to the Emerald Envy background), is 7/8 x 3 3/4.  The wider piece is 4 x 3 3/4.
  • I glued both pieces of the DSP to the Emerald Envy layer.
  • I stamped the sentiment from Birthday Blossoms in Memento Black ink on Very Vanilla card stock and cut it out with the Lots of Labels dies.  I cut out a second piece from Basic Black card stock for my sentiment base.  Once I glued (with snail) these two pieces together, I punched a 1/8" hole in each end.
  • I threaded a piece of Peekaboo Peach Ruched ribbon thru the sentiment piece, leaving enough ribbon at each end so I could glue it to the back of the Emerald Envy layer.
  • I put dimensionals on the back of the sentiment piece and layed it on my card.
  • I adhered (with snail) this combination to the base, and threaded a small piece of the Peekaboo Peach Ruched ribbon thru the one end and made a small knot.
  • I cut a flower out of the Sweet Sugarplum card stock with a thinlit from the Bloomin' Heart Dies.
  • Remember to decorate your envelope, can't leave the house naked, right?
