Merry Cafe, and
Painted Autumn DSP
The Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper (DSP) has some wonderful colors and designs.  I used this beautiful paper on the card I posted on Sunday, September 17, 2017, and here it is again.  Didn't I say this is perfect for almost any occasion?
Michelle Wallace, my wonderful assistant, and I worked together on this fun and happy card, and I am so pleased with the results, I am offering it at all of my October 3, October 5, and October 7, 2017 Creative Therapy card classes.

Recipe:
  • The base is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2  piece of Crushed Curry, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Garden Green layer is 5 1/4 x 4, and is embossed with the Cable Knit folder.
  • The designer series paper is 3 3/4 x 2 1/4, and the Early Espresso layer under it is 3 7/8 x 2 3/8.
  • The cup and leaves from Merry Café is stamped on Cajun Craze cardstock with Early Espresso ink.  The lid is stamped on Early Espresso cardstock with Early Espresso ink.  There are Coffee Cup framelits dies available to cut out the cup and lid, and since I do not own them yet, say it isn't so, right!!!, I used my Paper Snips, and it took just a few minutes.  The words are stamped on Whisper White with Early Espresso ink and cut out with my Paper Snips.
  • The Linen Thread is wrapped around the cup two times and finished off with a beautifully tied bow.
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.
  • All done!!!

Be Merry Project Kit Class
Stampin' Up! has a Be Merry Project Kit that can be found on Page 32 of the Holiday Mini. It is an All-Inclusive Kit, which means the kit has everything necessary to complete a project from beginning to end.  This kit makes 12 rosettes, 6 each of 2 designs.  The finished size of each rosette is 4" in diameter.  You can hang them on your tree, or a wreath, or use them as gift tags on packages.  The rosettes are gold and white (before you add the tulle), so you can actually use them as tags for birthday gifts.

To fellowship with others who love to craft is so much fun and I am offering a class to make this project kit to be held on October 21, 2017  from 9:30 to 12:30.  What you will need to bring is your Be Merry Project Kit, and a glue gun with extra glue sticks, or lots of Tombow liquid glue.  If you do not have a SU demonstrator, and need to order a kit, please let me know, or click right Here  to place your order.

The class will be held in my stamp studio in my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC 27253.  Space is limited, and if would like to attend please RSVP by October 7, 2017.  The cost of the kit is $19.00 plus shipping & tax, and the cost of the class is FREE.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Painted Harvest, and Painted Autumn DSP
The 12 piece Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper (DSP) has some wonderful colors and designs, perfect for any season, especially the fall.  I originally saw this sketch on Patty Bennett's blog, Patty Stamps, and you can see her card Here, post of 9/7/17.  I admit, I played with this paper for a couple of hours before I said to myself, "OK Linda, this is it, this is the design you want".  This process doesn't come easy for me, and I sure have fun while I am designing.😊
Recipe:
  • The base is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2  piece of Early Espresso, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Garden Green layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The top piece of dsp is 5 x 1 3/4, the middle piece of dsp is 5 x 1 1/4, and the bottom piece of dsp is 5 x 1.  I snailed the dsp to my Garden Green and wrapped my ribbon around the back of this combination, then glued this to my base.
  • The Early Espresso scalloped edge oval, and the Very Vanilla oval are cut from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies.
  • I used my Paper Snips and trimmed the pumpkins from the dsp, (very therapeutic), and glued them directly to my Very Vanilla oval with snail, and I popped up the one lonely pumpkin with a dimensional.  (He was so sad, I had to do something, so I gave him some height.)
  • The words are from Painted Harvest and stamped with Early Espresso ink on a 3 x 7/8 piece of Very Vanilla, and I backed this with a 3 x 1 piece of Tangerine Tango.  I cut the tails, (the V), with my Paper Snips.  Let me say, I have used my Paper Snips for at least 8 years, and they are as sharp today as they were when I bought them, just sayin'!!!!!
  • The ribbon is some Early Espresso seam binding that is retired. I have lots and lots and lots of SU ribbon that is retired, and I just couldn't help myself, (yes, I probably could, just didn't want to), I thought it was perfect for this card.
  • I stamped a pumpkin on the inside and on my envelope, from the Pick a Pumpkin stamp set, with Pumpkin Pie ink (what else, right!!!).
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.
  • All done!!!

Pick a Pumpkin & Touches of Texture
I offered this pretty fall card in all of my Creative Therapy classes  on September 5, September 7, and September 9, 2017 and it was quite popular.  So glad all my ladies liked it.
The Pick a Pumpkin stamp set can be found on Page 51 of the Holiday Mini, and to think, I almost overlooked it.  Say it isn't so!!!
Recipe:
  • The base is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2  piece of Garden Green, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Cajun Craze layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Sahara Sand layer is 5 x 3 3/4 .  I used one of the stamps from Touches of Texture and Sahara Sand ink to make my own background.
  • I cut the crate with Soft Suede cardstock, then used the Hardwood Background stamp and Early Espresso ink to give it the "ole timey wood affect".
  • I stamped pumpkins on Very Vanilla cardstock (see below for the ink colors I used), and cut them out with the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits Dies.  The Roster is cut out with the Wood Crate Framelits. The large pumpkin is cut out with Pumpkin Pie cardstock, and Linen Thread is used to make a bow.
  • I put dimensionals around the edges of the crate before I adhered it to my Sahara Sand layer.  Then put a little snail adhesive on the back of three of the larger pumpkins, and stuck them to the base layer, and glue dots and a dimensional on the three smaller pumpkins and gourds.
  • The words are from a very old set, Holiday Best.
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.
  • All done!!!
If you have any questions, please let me know.

Carols of Christmas and Hearts Come Home
Carols of Christmas is a 13 piece stamp set, and it comes in either wood or clear mount rubber.  It also has coordinating Card Front Builder Thinlits Dies that are fantastic.
This is one of the cards I am offering/offered at all of my September, 2017 classes.

Recipe:
  • The base is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2  piece of Cherry Cobbler, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Silver Foil layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Night of Navy layer is 5 x 3 3/4.
  • I used Versa Mark and white embossing powder for the words and the little embellishment thingees in the corners.  Be sure to use an Embossing Buddy over your card front before you stamp with Versa Mark.  It helps keep the powder where you want it.
  • The trees are made with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and the Card Front Builder Thinlits Dies.  I used the Seaside Embossing folder on the 3 3/4 x 1 piece in between the trees.
  • I stamped the deer with Early Espresso ink on Whisper White and cut it out with the same thinlits.  Put 1/2 of a dimensional on the back to pop him up.
  • I stamped the inside with the words from Hearts Come Home with Cherry Cobbler ink.
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.
  • All done!!!
If you have any questions, please let me know.

Sweet Home
The stamp set, Sweet Home, has so many possibilities, it's hard to name them all.  The 25 piece photopolymer set has coordinating thinlits, Home Sweet Home, and I used just two of the 22 dies for the ghosts and the banner.  Besides cards, this cute bundle makes lots of different 3-d projects.😊

I am offering this card, which was co-designed with Michelle Wallace, at all of my Creative Therapy classes on September 5, September 7, and September 9, 2017 (Click on anyone of these dates to see additional information.)

Recipe:
  • The base is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2  piece of Basic Gray, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The So Saffron layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Whisper White layer is 5 x 3 3/4
  • I stamped the house and spider web in Smoky Slate.  The bats, door, window, and roof top in Tuxedo Memento black ink.  I drew the fence with a Basic Black marker.  The words are stamped in black ink and cut out with a Home Sweet Home Thinlit, and the Big Shot.
  • The sun was made by punching a 1" circle in the middle of a post-it note, laying the post-it note on the white cardstock, and sponging So Saffron ink over the punched hole.
  • The ghosts are made by stamping Versamark on Vellum cardstock, and then embossing with white embossing powder, and a heat tool, then cut out with one of the thinlits from Home Sweet Home.  The ghosts are adhered to the card with glue dots.
  • The doorknob is a retired (sorry), enamel dot.
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.
  • All done!!

Spooky Cat
This cute Halloween card is almost "inkless".  Is that a word?  I don't think so, I kinda made it up.  The cat and hat came from the Spooky Night DSP, the hat was cut out with my paper snips, and the cat was punched out with the new Cat Punch.
I saw this card on Mary Fish's blog, Stampin' Pretty. She did a great job, and you can see her card  Here,  post of August 12, 2017.

I am offering this card at all of my Creative Therapy classes on September 5, September 7, and September 9, 2017 (Click on anyone of these dates to see additional information.)

If you live near my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC 27253, and would like to attend any one, or all three of my September 2017 classes, please let me know by September 1.

Recipe:
  • The base is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2  piece of Pumpkin Pie, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Basic Black layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Very Vanilla layer is 5 x 3 3/4
  • The piece on which I stamped the words is 3 3/4 x 1, and I stamped the words with Tuxedo Memento Black ink.
  • I adhered a Black Rhinestone Jewel to the hat, and made a bow with Linen Thread.
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.

2nd project for my August 2017 Hostess Club - Brayered Lovely as a Tree
This is the second card we will make in my August 24, 2017 Hostess Club meeting.

I used a sponge brayer to apply Marina Mist ink to the inside of the Woodland Embossing Folder, as well as stamped the trees directly to the inside of the embossing folder (ef).  For the card on the right I brayered Soft Suede ink on the trees after I took the cardstock out of the ef.  Which is your favorite?  I used a Fine Tip glue pen and Dazzling Diamonds for some added bling.
Want to learn how to make a card like this one and are not a member of my Hostess Club?  Just look on Youtube and search Stampin' Up brayered embossing folder technique.  Don't worry if you don't get this technique down the first time.  My assistant had many, many unique prototypes that we could not use.

Recipe:
  • The base is 11 x 4 1/4  piece of Real Red, scored at 5 1/2.
  • The Whisper White layer is 5 3/8 x 4 1/8.
  • The Early Espresso layer is 5 1/8 x 4
  • The next piece of Whisper White is 5 x 3 7/8.
  • The words are stamped on a 3/4 x 4 piece of Whisper White, and are from Hearts Come Home, a stamp set in the 2017 Holiday mini and will be available for purchase on September 1, 2017. The little deer is from a new set called Carols of Christmas, which is available for purchase right now.
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.
  • All done!!!

August 24, 2017 Hostess Club Project-Smackin' Acetate and Gourd Goodness

I made my own background with reinkers and by following Gina K's "Smackin' Acetate" video on Youtube, Here.

Basically, you drop ink on a piece of acetate or a window sheet, smoosh your cardstock in the mixture, and there you have it, your own one-of-a-kind background.  Awesome!!!

All of my wonderful Hostess Club ladies will learn this technique and make this card when they come to my August 24, 2017 meeting.  I'm excited.

I used the stamp set, Gourd Goodness, in the 2017-18 Holiday Mini, and will be available for purchase September 1, 2017.

Recipe:
  • The base is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2  piece of Garden Green, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Daffodil Delight piece is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • I used Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, and Peekaboo Peach reinkers on a Window Sheet, and my Thick Whisper White piece is 5 x 3 3/4.
  • I stamped the leaves and pumpkin stems with Garden Green ink, the pumpkins with a Pumpkin Pie ink pad.
  • I used some retired Daffodil Delight seam binding because it looked wonderful with this card, and because I have three rolls of it. 😀
  • I used the Layering Squares Framelits Dies for the pumpkins.
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.
  • All done!!!
