Birthday Blooms & Sheltering Tree for a Hostess Club Project
I saw this embossing and coloring technique done by Karen Bastel on Youtube, and you can see her video Here.
I used white embossing powder for the flower, and painted it with Whisper White Craft reinker, and ink pads.  So much fun.  I'm excited to see what all of my hostess club ladies think of this technique when they attend my May 25, 2017 club meeting.
When I decided to combine the current stamp set(s) with SU's new papers and ribbon, I was quite pleased with the end results.
The Tranquil Tide cardstock (#144246), the Fresh Florals DSP (#144131), and the 1/2" Finely Woven Powder Pink ribbon (#144134) will be available for purchase June 1, 2017.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Tranquil Tide, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Whisper White layer is 5 1/4 x 4,
  • The Fresh Florals DSP piece is 5 x 3 3/4.
  • The Whisper White piece under the stamped image is 3 7/8 x 3.
  • The Tranquil Tide piece on which I stamped and heat embossed my image with White embossing powder is 3 3/4 x 2 7/8.
  • I stamped my words with Tuxedo Memento Black ink, on a 3 x 5/8 piece of Whisper White cardstock, and used my paper snips to make tails.
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.
  • All done, easy, peasy!!!
