Christmas Pines for my November, 2016 Classes

I'm excited to share with you one of the cards I am offering at all of my November 8, November 10, and November 12, 2016, classes.  (See below for details about my classes).  I've used Christmas Pines and the Pretty Pines Thinlits dies.
Recipe:
  • The base is a 11 x 4 1/4 piece of Early Espresso, scored at 5 1/2.
  • Next is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Real Red.
  • Next is a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Very Vanilla, embossed with the Cable Knit Embossing Folder.  (This embossing folder is very thick, so when you use it, you only need your platform and one cutting plate).
  • The branches are cut using the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies, and Garden Green card stock.
  • The words are stamped on Very Vanilla card stock with Real Red ink from the Christmas Pines stamp set, and cut out with the Big Shot & the Layering Ovals Framelits dies.
  • The base under the words is cut from Real Red card stock, with the Layering Ovals Framelits dies.
  • The Real Red ribbon is retired, and I'm sure, any red ribbon you decide to use will work just fine.
  • Remember to decorate your envelope, can't leave the house naked, right?

Wetlands and Jar of Love in Island Indigo

Jar of Love is so versatile, because the set can be used for many occasions.  I have made several cards with this fun set, and I've posted one on September 25, 2016, and another on October 4, 2016.  If you have time, please take a peek.
    Recipe:
    • The base is a 11 x 4 1/4 piece of Island Indigo, scored at 5 1/2.
    • Next is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Whisper White.
    • Next is a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Mint Macaron, embossed with the Woodland Embossing Folder.
    • The Island Indigo piece on the Mint Macaron is 5 x 1 3/8, and layered on top of that is a 4 7/8 x 1 1/4 piece of DSP from Blooms & Bliss.
    • The jar is stamped on a 4 5/8 x 2 5/8 piece of Whisper White with Sahara Sand ink.  The branches are stamped with Old Olive.  The large flowers are stamped with Pool Party, and Island Indigo ink and the small flower is stamped with Daffodil Delight ink on Whisper White card stock.  The bow is stamped with Island Indigo ink on Island Indigo card stock, and all are cut out with the Everyday Jar framelit dies and the Big Shot. This piece is backed with a 4 3/4 x 2 3/4 piece of Island Indigo. I popped this combination up with dimensionals.
    • The words are from Wetlands and stamped with Island Indigo ink on Whisper White card stock.  I then sponged the Layering Oval Framelit Die with Island Indigo ink.
    • Remember to decorate your envelope, can't leave the house naked, right?

      Lama Fiesta Birthday

I think the lama from the Birthday Fiesta set, (page 11 of the 2016-17 catalog) is so cute.  When I started designing this card, I just couldn't stop adding things to it.  I was afraid my little lama would get away, so I had to tie him to the cactus.  Now, seriously, what lama would actually run away from me!!
I am offering this one in all of my October 4, October 6, and October 8, 2016 classes.
      Recipe:
      • The base is a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of Tempting Turquoise scored at 4 1/4.
      • Next is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Whisper White.
      • Next is a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Melon Mambo, embossed with the Festive Textured embossing folder.
      • The fence and fence posts are cut from Crumb Cake. The fence railings are 1/4 x 5, and the fence posts are 1/2 x 1 3/4.
      • The lama was stamped with Crumb Cake ink on Whisper White card stock, and cut out with the Fiesta Time Framelits Dies.  The lama's blanket was stamped with Melon Mambo ink.
      • The cactus was stamped with Emerald Envy on Whisper White card stock, cut out with the Fiesta Time Framelits Dies, and the Whisper White banner was cut out with the Fiesta Time Framelits Dies, and stamped with Crushed Curry ink.
      • The little, skinny strip of Tempting Turquoise was also cut out with the Fiesta Time Framelits Dies.
      • The lama's hat and the pinata were cut with my paper snips from the Festive Birthday DSP.
      • The words were stamped on a 1 1/4 x 2 1/4 piece of Whisper White with Tempting Turquoise ink, and popped up with dimensionals.
      • I used some Crushed Curry Baker's Twine to tie the lama to the cactus.
      • Remember to decorate your envelope, can't leave the house naked, right?

      Recipe:
      • The base is a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of Emerald Envy, scored at 4 1/4.
      • Next is a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Very Vanilla.

      • The jar, water and small leafs were stamped with Pool Party.  The flowers were stamped with Peekaboo Peach, stamped off once for the background, reinked and stamped again for the center.  The same process for the small flowers, except I used Sweet Sugarplum.
      • The bow was stamped with Sweet Sugarplum on the same color cardstock, and cut out with the Everyday Jar framelits.
      • I stamped the Happy Birthday in Tuxedo Memento black ink using the Happy Happenings set.
      • Three basic pearls added the finishing touch.

Spooky Fun, Home Sweet Home, & Halloween Night DSP for my October 2016 classes

I don't usually offer more than one or two Halloween cards in my September and October classes, and this year was a definite exception.  I'm lovin' all of the Halloween stamps, dies, punches, and everything else "Halloweenee" that is in the 2016-17 Holiday Mini by Stampin' Up!
I am very excited to offer this cute card in all of my October 4th, October 6th, and October 8th classes.   It is so easy, you won't believe it, and lots of fun to make.
        Recipe:
        • The base is a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of Basic Black, scored at 4 1/4.
        • Next is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Pumpkin Pie.
        • Next is a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Whisper White, embossed with the Brick Wall embossing folder, and sponged with Smoky Slate ink.
        • The ovals were cut with the Layering Ovals Framelits. The largest in Pumpkin Pie, the middle one in Basic Black, and the top oval was cut from the Halloween Night DSP.
        • The fence was cut using the Halloween Scenes Framelits dies on Basic Black card stock.
        • The little ghost was stamped on Whisper White card stock with Tuxedo Memento black ink, and cut out with the Home Sweet Home Thinlits Dies.
        • The pumpkins were stamped with Pumpkin Pie ink on Pumpkin Pie card stock, cut out with the Halloween Scenes Edgelits Dies, and the little faces on the pumpkins were stamped with Tuxedo Memento black ink.
        • The words from Suite Seasons were stamped on Whisper White with Pumpkin Pie ink, then punched out with the Decorative Label punch.  The backing behind the words was also punched with the Decorative Label punch and Basic Black card stock, cut apart vertically, and glued behind the white piece.  Then both pieces were popped up with dimensionals.
