 Beautiful Two-Tone Flora

I didn't think of this design on my own, no sir-ree.  I CASEd this from Ann Schach, and you can see her card Here, post of 4/23/23.  Ann has a PDF with the instructions for her card.
I did not change much on my card, except for the embossing folder.  This sketch would be pretty in most any color combination, don't you think?
I hope you enjoy today's post and thank you for stopping by.

Recipe:

  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Night of Navy, scored at 4 1/4.
  • I adhered the 5 1/4 x 4 Boho Blue layer to the base.
  • The 5 x 3 3/4 Basic White is embossed with the Countryside Blossoms Folder, and I adhered this piece to the Boho Blue.
  • I cut out a piece of Vellum Cardstock with the largest of the Stitched Shapes dies.  I added it to the Basic White with adhesive.
  • The 3 3/4 x 1 3/8 piece of Night of Navy is the base for the 3 3/4 x 1 1/4 piece of Countryside Inn DSP.  I adhered these two pieces together with adhesive and wrapped some Boho Blue 3/8" Textured Ribbon around them.  I then added this combination to my card front with liquid glue.
  • I used Moody Mauve, Bubble Bath, and Boho Blue inks for the flowers, and Pool Party ink for the leaves.  All are cut out with the Two-Tone Flora dies.
  • The words are stamped with Night of Navy ink on Basic White and cut out with a Stylish Shapes Die.  I also cut out an additional die in Night of Navy and added it behind the basic white cutout.  Both are added to the card front with glue dots.
  • I punched three flowers with the Petal Park Builder Punch, two with Night of Navy and one from Boho Blue.  I adhered them together with glue dots, and added them to the card front with more glue dots.  I added Blueberry Bushel Tinsel Gems to the center of the flowers.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

  By my Side and
Fresh as a Daisy DSP

One can put together a card in a snap with the wonderful Fresh as a Daisy DSP. That is what I used to make this quick and easy card.

Recipe:

  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Bubble Bath, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Moody Mauve layer is 5 1/4 x 4, and I heat embossed the words from By My Side with White Embossing Powder.
  • The Shaded Spruce is 3 7/8 x 3 7/8 and is the base for the 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 piece of Fresh as a Daisy DSP.
  • I adhered the DSP to the Shaded Spruce, then both to the Moody Mauve, and wrapped some Moody Mauve ribbon around these layers.
  • I adhered these layers to the Bubble Bath layer.
  • To finish off my easy-peasy card, I added three Brushed Brass Butterflies
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

By my Side & Rays of Light for my July 2023 Creative Therapy Classes

I used By My Side, Rays of Light, Quiet Meadow, and Layering Leaves for these fun cards and I am offering them at both of my July 11th and 15th, 2023 card classes.  See below for registration details, and/or information about my kits to go.
I hope you enjoy these cards and thank you for stopping by.

Recipe:

  • The Orchard Oasis bases are 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Basic White layers are 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Starry Sky layers are 5 x 3 3/4 and inked with Blueberry Bushel, and Rays of Light background stamp.  I then stamped Whisper White Craft ink and a stamp from Quiet Meadow to add some interest to the inked Rays of Light.
  • I cut two clouds using two 3 3/4 x 2 1/2 pieces of Basic White cardstock and one of the Basic Borders dies.  I adhered both of these to the Starry Sky using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  • I stamped my words with Blueberry Bushel ink.
  • I stamped Florence, Ricky and Fido, and Cathy on Basic White with Tuxedo Memento Black ink.  I colored them with Stampin' Blends (see product list below) and cut them out with my amazing Paper Snip Scissors.  They are popped up with Dimensionals.
  • I added three Rhinestone Basic Jewels to each card.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

On the Ocean &
Waves of Inspiration

My sweet friend, Wendie, helped me design these beautiful cards, and I am so pleased with the way they turned out. Thank you, Wendie, for all your guidance.
I hope everyone enjoys today's post, and thank you for stopping by.

Recipe:

  • The bases are 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Night of Navy, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Tahitian Tide layers are 5 1/4 x 4 and embossed with the Twisted Rope folder.
  • The next 4 1/2 x 3 3/8 layers of Night of Navy are the bases for the 4 3/8 x 3 1/4 Basic White pieces.
  • The Basic White pieces are stamped with Night of Navy & Tahitian Tide (ocean), Pool Party (clouds), Tuxedo Black Memento Black (words and birds).
  • To create the ocean (top card), with Waves of Inspiration, I inked the large stamp with Night of Navy ink, and I used a Sponge Dauber to dabb Tahitian Tide ink over the Night of Navy ink on the stamp.
  • To create the ocean (bottom card), using a stamp from On the Ocean, I first stamped Night of Navy ink, cleaned the stamped, and stamped Tahitian Tide ink.
  • The ship was made with Soft Suede cardstock (retired).  The sails were made with Very Vanilla.  After I cut out the sails, I embossed them with the crosshatch Embossing Folder from the set of three Basics 3D embossing folders.  I used a small Blending Brush and sponged some Soft Suede ink on the sails to give them an aged look.  The ship and sails are popped up with dimensionals.
  • The words (top card) are from Waves of Inspiration and stamped directly on the card front with black ink.
  • The words (bottom card) are from On the Ocean, stamped on Basic White with black ink, and cut out with an oval die from All That Dies.  This piece is popped up with dimensionals.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

Timeless Arrangements & Fresh as a Daisy DSP

The Fresh as a Daisy is some awesome Designer Series Paper.  Almost every piece looks great cut apart to make a card front.   This card was so easy, and I made it quicker than the time it would take to drive to the store, pick out a card, come home, address it and put it in the mail.  I hope you enjoy this card and thank you for stopping by.

Recipe:

  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Azure Afternoon, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Crushed Curry layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Fresh as a Daisy DSP is 5 x 3 3/4.
  • I used the Timeless Arrangements dies and Wild Wheat, Crushed Curry, Azure Afternoon, and Basic White cardstock to cut my flowers. These dies are so easy to cut out and put together!!
  • The Azure Afternoon ribbon is from the Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack.
  • The words are stamped with Night of Navy ink on Basic White cardstock and cut out with one of the Timeless Arrangements dies.  I then sponged the edges with Balmy Blue ink and a small Blending Brush.  I adhered the ribbon to the back of the word piece with snail, added dimensionals to the four corners, and adhered this piece to the card front.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

Patchwork Pieces Dies & Something Fancy

The new Patchwork Pieces Dies from Stampin' Up! are amazing and very easy to use.  You only have to remember to kinda keep the pieces in order when you are finished cutting them out of your card stock or DSP.
This was a fun card to put together and can be used for almost any occasion. I hope you enjoy it.

Recipe:

  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Calypso Coral, scored at 4 1/4.  I use my Simply Scored for all of my scoring.  Makes the process so much easier.
  • The Lost Lagoon layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Very Vanilla is 5 x 3 3/8.
  • The Inked Botanicals DSP is cut out with one of the Patchwork Pieces Dies and adhered to the Very Vanilla with liquid glue.  I wrapped some black twine around this piece before I glued it to the Lost Lagoon layer.
  • The Crushed Curry circle is punched out with a 2 3/8" Circle Punch.
  • I used the Decorative Circle Punch for the Calypso Coral circle.
  • The Very Vanilla piece on which I stamped my words with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, is cut out with one of the Stylish Shaped Dies.
  • As a finishing touch, I added three Ombre Matte Dots.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

  Sweetest Cherries &
 Countryside Corners

I combined some Bright & Beautiful DSP with the Countryside Corners Dies and found this card to be very easy to put together.  I hope you enjoy it.

Recipe:

  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Azure Afternoon, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Melon Mambo layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Bright & Beautiful DSP is 5 x 3 3/4.

  • The words, from Sweetest Cherries, are stamped with Azure Afternoon ink on Basic White and cut out with a 2 1/2 x 7/8 Countryside Corners die.  The base for this piece is a 2 7/8 x 1 3/8 Azure Afternoon, also cut out with the same dies.  These two pieces are adhered together with liquid glue.  I added some Simple Elegant Trim behind these two pieces, added dimensionals and adhered to the card front.
