My Friend in Baja Breeze

I used the very last of my Baja Breeze card stock to make this card and am offering it at my March 2014 classes.  I was kinda sad to say goodbye to one of my favorite colors, Baja Breeze, and at the same time very pleased with the results of the combination of Baja Breeze with the Basic Black card stock.  Since I used three different retired SU supplies to make this card, maybe I should be calling it my retirement card, except I don't want anyone to get the idea I am retiring, because I'm not!!!

I CASEd this card from Brian King.  If you would like to see his original card, please visit his blog at:  www.stampwithbrian.com.  He has some great ideas and wonderful color combinations.

Recipe:  Stamps:  My Friend, Fabulous Phrases;  Paper:  Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Baja Breeze (retired) card stock and First Edition dsp (also retired, but I have so much, it was saying, "please use me on this card", so I did);  Ink:  Baja Breeze;  Accessories:  Decorative Label and Scalloped Oval Punches, Baja Breeze ribbon (also retired), Stamp-a-ma-jig (to line up the words), and  bling.

I hold classes each month, and if you live near my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC 27253 and would like to attend any of my classes, please let me know.  Check out my March 2014 class schedule right here on my blog, or on my SU website found Here

Since we have been made right with God by our faith, we have peace.  Jesus has brought us into that blessing of God's grace that we now enjoy, and we are happy because of the hope we have of sharing God's glory.  We also have joy with our troubles, because we know that these troubles produce patience, and patience produces character, and character produces hope, and hope will  never disappoint us, because God has poured out his love to fill our hearts.  Romans 5: 1-5

Perfectly Penned and Sweet Sorbet DSP

I wanted to utilize the free designer series paper (who doesn't like free, right?) offered during Sale-a-bration from Stampin' Up! and came up with this card.  I used the Sweet Sorbet dsp as the background, and it was so easy, and you can add almost any sentiment you want.  This paper is so beautiful, I can think of a zillion ways to use it. Well, not a zillion, but lots and lots of ways to use this paper.

Recipe:  Stamps:  Perfectly Penned;  Paper:  Basic Black, Whisper White, Pool Party, and Summer Starfruit card stock and Sweet Sorbet dsp;  Ink:  Black Stazon;   Accessories: Scallop Trim Border Punch, Simply Pressed Clay, and Simply Pressed Clay Buttons & Blossoms Clay Molds (page 167 of the 2013-14 catalog).

I hold classes each month, and if you live near my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC 27253 and would like to attend any of my classes, please let me know.  Check out my March 2014 class schedule right here on my blog, or on my SU website found Here

Do not worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks.  And God's peace, which is so great we cannot understand it, will keep your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.  Philippians  4:6-7

Daydream Medallions and World Treasures

Daydream Medallions is a unique stamp set, one that I have not used very often, and when I finished making this card, I said to myself, "I wonder why I haven't, it's a beautiful stamp set".  This is one of my offerings for my March 2014 classes.  You can get all the class details right here on my blog, and even register for class while you're there.

I saw this card on Brandy Cox's blog at:  www.brandyscards.com.   She is very good, and worth the visit. She used an air freshener, (which I didn't), when cutting out the Island Indigo Flower Fold layer, and her video gives all the details.

Recipe:  Stamps:  Daydream Medallions, World Treasures;  Paper: Whisper White, Crushed Curry, Island Indigo card stock;  Ink: Crushed Curry, Island Indigo classic ink; Accessories:  Big Shot, Floral Frames and Apothecary Accents Framelits,  Flower Folds Bigz Die, Square Lattice embossing folder, Jewels, dimensionals.

I hold classes each month, and if you live near my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC 27352 and would like to attend any of my classes, please let me know.  Check out my March 2014 class schedule right here on my blog, or on my SU website found Here

Wetlands

I purchased the Natural Composition Specialty paper when it first arrived in the SU Catalog, June 1, 2012.  It is so popular that it's been the catalog for not one, but two years, which is an unusual practice for SU.  The only time I used this beautiful paper was last June to make my swaps for Convention.  It is a thick card stock weight paper, and perfect for lots of cards and projects.  I am very pleased for finally using this gorgeous paper again, and I hope you like this card, as much as I do.  It is an almost, definite possibility (is there such a phrase?) for my masculine card offering in my March or April card classes.

Recipe:  Stamps:  Wetlands, Teeny Tiny Wishes;  Paper:  Very Vanilla, Basic Black, and, of course, Natural Composition Specialty paper;  Ink:  Basic Black, Always Artichoke and Cajun Craze markers, and Basic Black classic ink pad;  Accessories:  Big Shot, Circle Framelits, Scallop Circle, Word Window and Modern Label punches, dimensionals.

I hold classes each month, and if you live near my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC 27253 and would like to attend any of my classes, please let me know.  Check out my March 2014 class schedule right here on my blog, or on my SU website found Here

Papillon Potpourri and Flower Shop

I wanted to offer a special technique for my February 2014 classes using cork.  When one thinks of cork, they usually think of a coaster.  Not me, I think of a card.  Stamping on cork is so easy and fun, I couldn't believe how fast it was to finish it.

I stamped on the cork with black Stazon ink, and colored the images with my Stampin' Write markers, and then, as my two year old granddaughter, Georgia Anne, says, "I all done".

Recipe:  Stamps:  Flower Shop, Papillon Potpourri and Express Yourself;  Paper:  Island Indigo, Crisp Cantaloupe card stock and Sweet Sorbet dsp;  Ink:  Black Stazon, Crisp Cantaloupe, Island Indigo ink pads, and Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral, Cajun Craze markers;  Accessories:  Big Shot, Circle Framelits, 3" Sizzix circle die, Delicate Doilies, Cork, Tombow liquid glue.

I hold classes each month, and if you live near my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC 27253 and would like to attend any of my classes, please let me know.  Check out my January 2014 class schedule right here on my blog, or on my SU website found Here

If you attend any of my February 2014 classes, you will have the opportunity to make these cards, one or all of them, and the best part---the only stamping you need to do for these cards are the inside sentiment and the envelope.  I have super prepared for the class, leaving more time for fellowship.  How does that sound?

Recipe:  Stamps:  People Like You;  Paper:  Basic Black, Whisper White cardstock, and Sweet Sorbet dsp;  Ink:  Black Stazon;  Accessories:  Big Shot, Oval Framelits; Decorative Label Punch, and dimensionals.

Perfect Pennants and Banner Framelits

I am finally pleased with this card, and if you are attending any of my February 2014 card and project classes, I hope you like it too, because I cannot help but share it with you.
I finished this beauty yesterday, at least I thought I did.  I kept saying to myself, because no one else was here with me, "what is it missing".  Then I added the layer of Daffodil Delight card stock, and I said, "that's it, now I like it".  See, when you spend lots of time by yourself making cards, designing and having fun, talking to yourself becomes the norm.

Recipe:  Stamps:  Perfect Pennants, Petite Petals;  Paper:  Garden Green, Daffodil Delight, and Whisper White card stock, Gingham Garden dsp;  Ink:  Pacific Point, Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo classic ink;  Accessories: Petite Petals Punch, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals.

I hold classes each month, and if you live near my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC 27253 and would like to attend any of my classes, please let me know.  Check out my January 2014 class schedule right here on my blog, or on my SU website found Here.
