I came across a surprisingly easy fun-fold card by Kylie Bertucci and it looked like something I wanted to offer at both of my February 2024 classes.

Softly Sophisticated Bundle for my February 2024 Creative Therapy Classes

When I was looking for ideas for my February 2024 classes, I came across Jamie's card on Pinterest. I followed the path to Jamie's blog, Stamp it up with Jamie, post of 12/6/2023 and you can see her card Here.
The Softly Sophisticated Bundle is free with a $100 order and the Softly Stippled DSP is free with a $50.00 order during Sale-a-Bration until February 29, 2024.  Free is wonderful.

Recipe:
  • The Shaded Spruce base is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Calypso Coral layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Basic White layer is 5 x 3 3/4.  I dry embossed this piece with the new Softly Sophisticated Embossing Folder.  After that, I used a Blending Brush to add some Calypso Coral ink, starting from the bottom, to create an ombre look.  I adhered this piece to the Calypso Coral with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  • I used a piece of Basic White, a piece of Softly Stippled DSP and the largest of the Tailored Tag dies to cut out two tags.  I also used the same dies to cut out a Calypso Coral tag reinforcer to add to the Basic White tag.
  • The Basic White tag is stamped with Shaded Spruce and Calypso Coral ink.
  • I adhered the two tags together and added them to the card front with Dimensionals.
  • I threaded some Natural Trim through the two tags and tied it together with White Twine from the Bakers Twine Essentials Pack and made a bow.
  • I stamped words from Crafting with You in Shaded Spruce on Petal Pink and punched it out with a 1 3/4" Circle Punch and added it to the card with Dimensionals.
  • All done, and remember to decorate your envelope.

Sending Love and Zany Zoo for my January, 2024 Creative Therapy Classes

I offered this card at both of my January 2024 classes and all who attended said they enjoyed the technique of blending and coloring with Stampin' Blends.

Recipe:

  • The Granny Apple Green base is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Boho Blue layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Basic White layer is 5 x 3 3/4.
    • I began by punching a 1" hole in a scrap of cardstock and using this piece to sponge a sun with Lemon Lolly ink.
    • Next, I covered the 1" sponged Lemon Lolly sun with a 1" circle cardstock piece and used one of the dies from the Basic Borders dies, & Balmy Blue ink and sponged clouds midway down the card.
    • Next, I used a Blending Brush and Pool Party ink and lightly sponged the middle to the bottom of the card front.
    • I stamped the mailbox with Tuxedo Memento Black ink and colored it with Granny Apple Green, Pool Party, Cherry Cobbler and Natural Tones Stampin' Blends.
    • I made the little envelope by stamping Crumb Cake with black ink and cutting it out with one of the Sending Love Dies.  I added it to the mailbox with a glue dot.  I added a Cherry Cobbler heart with a glue dot.

Gorgeously Made for my first set of Creative Therapy Classes of 2024 & the
Faux Silk Technique
I'm so excited because I am offering this beautiful card at both of my January 2024 classes. I used a stamp set & dies from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog, Gorgeously Made.

Recipe:

  • The Moody Mauve base is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Mossy Meadow layer is 5 1/4 x 3 1/2 and the edge is cut out with one of the Gorgeously Made Dies.
  • The Masterfully Made DSP is 5 x 1 1/4.
  • The Basic White is 4 3/4 x 2 1/2.
    • I stamped this piece with Moody Mauve, Crushed Curry, and Mossy Meadow.
    • Next, I took a 5 3/4 x 3 1/2 piece of white tissue paper (like the kind you would use to wrap a gift) and crinkled it into a ball.
    • I used an Elmers glue stick, (any glue stick will work), and covered the entire stamped Basic White piece.
    • Uncrumpled and smoothed out the tissue paper over the stamped Basic White piece.  Flipped this piece over and glued the excess tissue paper to the back.
  • I added some Moody Mauve textured ribbon to the Faux Silk piece, then added the Crushed Curry branch to the back, and adhered all to the card front.
  • I threaded another piece of the Moody Mauve ribbon thru the existing ribbon and made a small knot.
  • The words are stamped with Mossy Meadow ink.
  • Three Berry Burst adhesive-backed gems are added.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.
