Come One, Come All to my August, 2015 Card and Project Classes

We always have fun and I hope your schedule will permit you to come and enjoy some paper therapy time.

You will have the opportunity to make cards and/or 3-D projects with Mother's Day, Birthday, Sympathy, a Masculine themed card, and as always, all occasion themes that you can make into whatever you want.  I design and prepare kits for five/six different cards, and you decide which ones you would like to make.  It's that easy.  I supply everything, just bring yourself, and get set to have fun.

My classes are for men and women of all ages who enjoy crafting. This class will teach you how to create beautiful hand crafted greeting cards with personal instruction, guidance and inspiration. You’ll have access to all the latest card making tools, embellishments and supplies. The joy of giving is priceless.

Schedule is as follows:
SATURDAY, AUGUST 8, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 and again on
TUESDAY, AUGUST 11, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and again on
THURSDAY, AUGUST 13, from 6:30 p.m. to about 9:00 p.m.

The cost of the class is just: $2.25 per card, no additional class fee, and the fun and fellowship is free.  Want to save on your class fee? Bring a friend who has never been to one of my classes, and receive $5.00 off of your class fee, or place an order for a minimum of $50.00 (before tax and shipping), and receive $5.00 your class fee.  Do both, and receive $10.00 off your class fee.  How about that!!!!!

All classes are held in my home at:  555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC 27253.

An RSVP at your earliest convenience is greatly appreciated either by email or phone. Phone is: 336-538-4996 , email: angelsofjoy@gmail.com  or directly from my Stampin' Up! website at: www.lindafisher.stampinup.net.

May 2015, Retirement Class, Past and Present

My Friend--See post of August 2011
*Stippled Blossoms--See Post of November 2013
*Blooming with Kindness--See post of February 2013
*Wildflower Meadow--See post of June 2013
No, I'm not retiring, I am having too much fun.  I have decided to use some retiring stamp sets for my May 2015 classes.

I have had many, many, many classes since 2008, and in each class I offer six cards from which to choose.  When preparing, I place all the cut card stock pieces to make each card in a plastic baggie, and the stamps, ink, and embellishments at each station.  My system works wonderfully well, and each month I look forward to having my classes.

Once the set of classes are over, I save the card kits, don't know why, just do, and for my May 2015 classes, I decided to pull out past "saved over" kits, of course, this is in addition to the other 5/6 cards I am offering.

The Stippled Blossoms, Blooming with Kindness, and Wildflower Meadow stamp sets are retiring 6/2/2015, and the good news, there is still plenty of time to purchase them.  If you would like to place an order, head on over to my Stampin' Up! website, www.lindafisher.stampinup.net, and click on the "shop now" tab, or click on the 2014-15 Catalog right here on my blog.

Tea Party

I  bought the stamp set, Tea Party, when it was first introduced in the catalog.  Well, it has been sitting on my shelf, and I said to myself, mostly because no one else listens to me, that I would like to use it before retirement day, May 31, 2015.  So, here is, what I think, a beautiful card using Tea Party.  I did use some retired Designer Series Paper, because, #1-I have so much, and #2-It coordinated so well with these colors.  If you are coming to my May 5, or 7, 2015 classes, this will be one of your six options from which to choose.

Recipe:  Stamp Sets: *Tea Party; Paper:  Very Vanilla, Basic Black, *Strawberry Slush cardstock, and Modern Medley DSP (retired);  Ink:  Tuxedo Memento Black, and *Strawberry Slush Classic; Accessories:  Big Shot, *Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder, Oval Framelits, Strawberry Slush ribbon (retired),  Dimensionals,
*Retires 6/2/2015

Regarding Dahlias, Flower Frenzy Bigz Die and other retiring products

So sad, this beautiful flower stamp set, the Flower Frenzy Bigz die, the Baked Brown Sugar, and Crisp Cantaloupe card stock, and the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder will no longer be available to purchase from Stampin' Up! after May 31, 2015.  The good news, they are available for sale right now, and I am offering this card at my May 5 and May 7th, 2015 card classes.

I stamped the flower with Versa Mark on Crisp Cantaloupe card stock, and embossed it with White embossing powder.  After I fussy cut the flower, and put it on the card with dimensionals, I applied Dazzling Details to give the flower some bling, and bling is good, right!!  I'm so tickled with the finished card and I am excited to share.

Recipe:  Stamp Sets:  A Dozen Thoughts, *Regarding Dahlias;  Paper:  Basic Black, *Crisp Cantaloupe, *Baked Brown Sugar;  Ink:  Tuxedo Memento Black, Versa Mark, , Accessories:  Big Shot, *Flower Frenzy Bigz Die, *Polka Dot, Striped Embossing Folder,  Heat Tool, White Embossing Powder,  Dazzling Details, Dimensionals.

April 2015 Hostess Club Projects

My hostess club ladies are the very best, and when they come to club meetings, I want to give them my very best.

This month, Michelle Wallace is our hostess, and she has ask to make spinner cards.  The Strawberry Slush card is a circle spinner.  Next we are going to make a spinner card using Pumpkin Pie and the flower from Crazy about You.  I thought it would be fun to make a card using Vellum, and a Simply Scored Stylus, so I added another technique.  Pretty cool, and easier than you might think.

If you live in my area and would like more information about my hostess club, please contact me. My hostess club members make the projects each month for free, and in return, each member places a $25.00 order for products, and the hostess of the month receives the benefits.   Plus, we have food at each meeting, and it's like being at a stamping party where the fun never ends.

If you would like to place an order for any of the supplies I have used, head on over to my Stampin' Up! website, www.lindafisher.stampinup.net, and click on the "shop now" tab, or click on the 2014-15 Catalog right here on my blog.

Work of Art for my May 2015 classes

This card was so much fun to make, I think because of the bright colors, and I tend to gravitate to bright colors.  The phrase, "You are a fabulous work of art" can apply to a thinking of you card, and especially, a birthday card.  If you are attending my May 5th or 7th, 2015 classes, you, too, will have to opportunity to make this card.

Recipe:  Stamp Sets: Work of Art (of course), and Hardwood;  Paper: Whisper White, Baked Brown Sugar, Blackberry Bliss, Crushed Curry, Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo and Pacific Point card stock,  Ink: Baked Brown Sugar, Blackberry Bliss, Crushed Curry, Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo and Pacific Point Classic; Accessories: Extra-Large Oval, Word Window, Bird Builder, and 1/2" Circle punches, Stamp a-ma-jig, Crystal Effects (for the shiny paint pallet), Dimensionals,
,

Vivid Vases and Painted Blooms

I had a few card kits saved-over (a term used by a very dear friend) from my April 2015 card classes, and wanted to use everything in the kit (see post of April 6, 2015), except a different stamp set.  All of a sudden, my Vivid Vases just jumped off the table and landed in my lap, so, of course, I had to use it, right?  Well, the stamp was too large for the piece of card stock from the saved-over kit, so after I inked it up, I used a piece of tape to cover the words before I stamped.  Next I inked the words, and used tape to cover the vases.  Of course, keeping everything straight and in line would not have been possible without my wonderful Stamp-a-ma-jig!!  Next I colored my vases with markers, popped the vases with dimensionals, and done.  Easy, peasy.

Recipe:  Stamp Sets: Vivid Vases; Paper:  Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz, and Pacific Point card stock, Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper;  Ink:  Stazon Black, and Pacific Point Classic, Daffodil Delight and Pool Party markers; Accessories:  Stamp a-ma-jig, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals,
,

Butterfly Thinlits Special Offer!

Image result for butterfly thinlits

Special Announcement from Stampin’ Up!:
Like you, I sincerely hoped that the Butterflies Thinlits Dies would arrive in time for Sale-A-Bration, and when that didn’t happen, again like you, I hoped they would be here in time for the Free Shipping promotion. Unfortunately, that was not the case.
Originally they were scheduled to arrive by April 8; SU then received notification from their supplier that although the ship had reached the west coast port, the container containing the Thinlits was still on the ship. SU has since received verification from a third party that the vessel is still in the port–and though it docked on Friday, April 3, the container with the Thinlits has yet to be pulled.
Because the container has yet to be discharged from the vessel, the soonest the Butterflies Thinlits will arrive in the SU warehouse is the beginning of the week of April 13; their best estimate for orderability, based on this information, is April 15.
I realize you may be disappointed you were not able to purchase the Thinlits in time to receive Sale-A-Bration rewards–especially in the discounted bundles. Therefore, from the day Butterflies Thinlits are again available through April 30, SU is bringing you two special offers:
  1. Get the Butterflies Thinlits at a 15 percent discount–just $26.30!
137360-butterfly-thinlits-dies
2. Buy any of the Butterflies Thinlits Bundles at the already-discounted price and choose one of three FREE Sale-A-Bration items (available while supplies last)!
Butterfly Thinlits Bundles
* Wood mount 139322 $76.25
* Clear mount 139323 $63.50
* Photopolymer mount 138865 $51.75

March 2015 Hostess Club Projects

I like to offer my hostess club members the opportunity to learn at least three different techniques each month.  For March everyone made a:
1) Pop-out window fun fold card, (top card).  You can see a how-to video on Leeann Greff's blog, by clicking Here, post of March 2, 2015.
2) Next we made a pop-out slider card (middle card).  You can see a video on Dawn Olchefske's blog by clicking the link Here, post of March 4, 2015.
3) Last, we made a card using a double embossing technique (bottom card).  Retha Fulp, one of my wonderful club members, designed this card, and showed how to make it.  First we stamped the image with Versamark, and used white embossing powder.  Next we stamped the same image again in Pear Pizzazz and Lost Lagoon, then sponged all over with the same two colors ink.  Much prettier in person, I promise.  Some of the items I used went away March 31, 2015, so sorry.

Recipe:  Stamp Sets: Sheltering Tree, Lotus Blossom, Pleasant Poppies; Paper:  Whisper White, Crisp Cantaloupe, Early Espresso, Strawberry Slush, Blackberry Bliss, Basic Black, Pear Pizzazz, Lost Lagoon, card stock, Irresistibly Yours Designer Series Paper;  Ink:  Crisp Cantaloupe, Early Espresso, Strawberry Slush, Blackberry Bliss, Pear Pizzazz, Lost Lagoon classic; Accessories:  Big Shot, Square Framelits, 2 1/2" circle, 1 1/4" Scallop Circle, and 1" circle, Modern Label and Word Window punches, Lost Lagoon, and Melon Mambo Ribbon, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals,

The top card was designed by Connie Jungel, and I made it when I participated in a shoebox swap with my lovely group of other demonstrators a few weeks ago.  It uses SU's new Crazy about You and the Hello You Thinlits dies from the Occasions Mini, and the set and framelits are available for sale until May 31, 2015.
