Weather Together
for my May 2018 Creative Therapy Classes
I saw this design on the "Demonstrator's Only" web site, Stampin' Connection, and traced it back to Tamara Bertram, and you can see her card Here, post of 11/9/2016.  I did change the paper, and used a current stamp set for the words, you know, to make it my own.  This is another offering for my May 1st, and May 5th, 2018 classes.
Weather Together is retiring the end of this May, and should you want to order this retiring set, or any of the supplies I used to make this card, please just click Right Here to place your order in my on-line store before May 31, 2018.
If you make a purchase after clicking on my link, I receive a small commission as your demonstrator with no extra cost to you.  I truly appreciate your support when shopping with me.  Please do not hesitate to ask me a question, as I am here to help you.

You've Got Style, and the Crinkled Ink Technique
Meet Minerva.  Isn't she so cute.  She is Irma's sister.  (See the post of March 30, 2018).  This is the second of the two projects my wonderful Hostess Club ladies will make when they come to my studio this Thursday evening, April 26, 2018.
The technique is so easy, and lots of fun.  Honest, I wouldn't kid you!!

There are videos on YouTube, and here are the basics:
  • Rub your ink pad directly to your piece of Whisper White cardstock. I used Peekaboo Peach.  That's called direct to paper technique.  See, two techniques in one!!!
  • Then crinkle your paper by balling it up in your hands.
  • Spread it out, but not to flat.  Take your next darker ink pad, in this case I used Calypso Coral, and rub the ink pad over the creases you just made.
  • Crinkle and spread out your paper again.
  • With your next darker color, (I used Wild Wasabi), spread it over the creases.  This time concentrate on the folds you did not color the first time.
  • Turn your crinkled cardstock facedown, and use your bone folder to smooth out the wrinkles.
  • Glue this piece to your Calypso Coral layer.  I used Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2  piece of Wild Wasabi scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Calypso Coral layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Whisper White layer is 5 x 3 3/4.
  • The Chocolate Chip rectangle is 2 3/4 x 3 5/8, and the Whisper White layer on which Minerva is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink, is 2 5/8 x 3 1/2.
  • The Wild Wasabi tag is cut from the Rose Garden Dies
  • The Whisper White tag on which my words are stamped is also cut out with the Rose Garden Dies, then I fussy cut close to the outline with my awesome Paper Snips.
  • The Calypso Coral ribbon is some I had saved over from the 2018 Sale-a-bration that ended last month.  (I'm sorry, however, I'm sure many other kinds of ribbon will work just as well.)
  • I used Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen to color Minerva.
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope. All done!!!
