Bigz Bow Die Treat Holders

Strawberry Slush card stock and Confetti Celebrations DSP
Tempting Turquoise card stock and Sweet Taffy DSP
Garden Green card stock and Flower Pot DSP,
Soft Suede card stock and Parklane DSP

I have not acquired all of the new Designer Series Paper collection yet, and what I do have, and I wanted to showcase along with SU's Gift Bow Bigz Die.  I enjoy using Stampin' Up's Designer Series Paper because it adds beauty and style to any card or project, and a great way to coordinate your colors.

The die makes bows in two sizes in a jiffy.  Need a bow for a birthday present, just grab your Big Shot and your Gift Bow Bigz die, and within minutes your good-to-go.  The die can be found on Page 233 of SU's 2014-15 catalog, item # 129977, $32.95.

The box and bow pattern came from Meg Daves, and you can find her video on YouTube right Here

Timeless Talk

I like to offer a variety of cards in my classes, and I thought this idea went well with the others I've designed for my July 8th, 10th, 12th and 16th classes.

The phonograph and the telephone would pair well with the Just Sayin' stamp set and the Word Bubbles framelits, and because I wanted to keep the Honeycomb theme going, I used the Honeycomb Embossing Folder and Hexagon Punch. I like how both of these cards turned out, and if you have the opportunity to attend any of my classes, I think you will want to make them.

I wanted to use a red brad in both the telephone dial and for a knob on the phonograph, and remembered when I had finished the card.  Bummer, now what to do?  So I colored a Basic Pearl with a Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities Marker, and, there you go.  Quicker and way easier.

Recipe:  Stamps: Timeless Talk;  Paper:  Whisper White, Basic black, Real Red card stock and some retired Modern Medley dsp;  Ink:  Basic black and Real Red classic; Accessories:  Big Shot, Honeycomb Embossing Folder, Hexagon Punch, 2 1/2", and a 2 3/4" Circle Punch, Real Red Marker, Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities Pen, Basic Pearl, Real Red 1/8" taffeta ribbon, Dimensionals.

I hold adult classes each month.  If you live near my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC 27253 and would like to attend any of my classes, please let me know.  Check out my June 2014 class schedule right here on my blog, or on my SU website found Here

Flower Patch, a new Photopolymer Stamp Set

For those of you who know me, you probably have heard me say, "I don't particularly care for photopolymer stamps".   Well, in this case, I'm taking my words back.  With photopolymer stamps, you can see exactly where you're stamping, and they stick to the blocks like glue.  Besides that, this set is absolutely stunning, and it comes with matching framelits.  I double stamped and fussy cut to get the top two flowers, and worth it, look how beautiful.

If you are attending my July 2014 classes, you too, will get the opportunity to experience how wonderful photopolymer stamps are, and make this card.

Recipe:  Stamps: Flower Patch;  Paper:  Strawberry Slush, Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White card stock;   Ink:  Melon Mambo, Strawberry Slush, Blackberry Bliss, Old Olive classic;  Accessories:  Big Shot, Flower Fair Framelits, Blackberry Bliss ribbon, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals.

I hold adult classes each month.  If you live near my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC 27253 and would like to attend any of my classes, please let me know.  Check out my June 2014 class schedule right here on my blog, or on my SU website found Here

You have seen them in the

catalog and now some of

them are available!

These are Stampin' Up's version of an alcohol marker
(like Copics) that blend beautifully.  You won't use them
directly on your stamps like our water-based markers
so they will not replace those but add another option
for coloring your stamped images.
Here is a SU corporate video about them:

You will need the Memento Tuxedo

Black ink pad and refill for using

these alcohol markers (not StazOn)

I personally LOVE my new Memento Pad!  So easy to
clean the ink off of, stamps beautifully, and is great for
just a black greeting or image that doesn't need to be
waterproof.
