Hot Diggity Dog, It's your Birthday!!!

Hot Diggity Dog is a fun stamp set of 14 images.  In addition to the cute doggies, there are 7 words stamps that coordinate.  You can use this set for many  occasions, birthday, friendship, and sadly, when you need to send a card to someone that has lost their precious pet.  This set will be retiring May 31, 2016, and the good news, if you want to add it to your stamp collection, you can get it now.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/5 x 5 1/2 piece of Cajun Craze scored at 4 1/4.
  • The next layer is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Sahara Sand.
  • The next layer is a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Basic Black.
  • The next layer is a 4 3/4 x 3 1/2 piece of It's My Party DSP.
  • The Basic Black strip (under the images) is 5 x 1 7/8.
  • The Whisper White piece is 5 x 1 3/4
  • The Cajun Craze piece (under the words) is 1 x 3 1/4.
  • The Whisper White piece (for the words) 7/8 x 3 1/8, and I hand cut the tail.
  • The dogs were stamped in Tuxedo black ink, and I used my Cajun Craze marker to color their ears and sweater.
  • I stamped the bones in Cajun Craze ink.
  • The inside has a piece of Whisper White card stock decorated with the little dog bones.
  • So much fun.
  • Remember to decorate your envelope, can't leave the house naked, right?

Party Wishes-An April 2016 Hostess Club Project

This is the second project will are making at my Hostess Club Meeting, April 28, 2016. It is a darling Accordion Moving Card.  I found the video by Debbie Henderson on YouTube Here.  Debbie has a list of all the dimensions and supplies, so if you are not a part of my hostess club, and would like to make this card, be sure to watch the video.  She does a fantastic job, I might add.

It is quite easy to put together once all the pieces have been cut out.  I am excited to share  with all of my wonderful hostess club ladies.  (Did you know that once you come to one of my classes, or are part of my hostess club, you have become "one of my ladies").

If you have any questions, let me know.

Wetlands for April 28, 2016 Hostess club project

This is one of the two projects we will make at my April 28, 2016, Hostess Club meeting. I am very excited to share this special technique, and one of my very talented members, Sande Parcell, will show everyone just how it's done.  This is a beautiful card, and the "see-through" effect is made using SU's window sheets.  Amazing!!!

If you are not a member of my Hostess Club, and would like to make one of these cards, please visit Kathleen Wingerson's blog Here, post of March 21, 2016, for a detailed video.

Watercolor Words and A Dozen Thoughts for Bethel Baptist Church Card Ministry

I have the honor to share what I love and inspire the wonderful ladies at Bethel Baptist Church in Graham, NC this Thursday night, April 21, 2016, as we fellowship and have fun.  I will teach them how to make these two beautiful cards using Stampin' Up! products, and I am sure I will enjoy their company as they create their "masterpieces".

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Watercolor Words

If you look back on my post of March 19, 2016 you will see a card with the same colors as this one, Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi and Whisper White.  I used Over the Rainbow for that card.  I decided to change up the stamp set, and still use the same colors, and came up with this cute card.  Watercolor Words is so much fun to use, so many possibilities.
  • Recipe:
    • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Pacific Point scored at  4 1/4.
    • The next layer is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Daffodil Delight.
    • The next layer is a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Wild Wasabi.
    • The layer of Whisper White is 4 3/4 x 3 1/2.
    • I used the same colors of ink as card stock to stamp my images.
    • I wrapped some Pacific Point ribbon around the Whisper White and Wild Wasabi layers, and on one card I used the Curvy Corner punch to make the pretty corner accents. Easy, peasy.
    • Remember to decorate your envelope, can't leave the house naked, right?
If you have any questions, let me know.

Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper and Remembering Your Birthday

I combined the Sweetheart punch (it is on sale right now, see Here), with the Timeless Elegance DSP from Stampin' Up! to make this beautiful flower.  The suggested coordinating colors for the Timeless Elegance DSP is Sahara Sand, Basic Black and Very Vanilla. I added Cherry Cobbler card stock, and I like the extra dimension.   I am so excited to offer this card at all of my Creative Paper Therapy classes on May 10, May 12 and May 14, 2016.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Basic Black, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The next layer is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Cherry Cobbler.
  • The Very Vanilla layer is 5 x 3 3/4.
  • The small Basic Black strip is 1 3/4 x 3 3/4, and the small Cherry Cobbler layer is 1 1/2 x 3 3/4.
  • To make the flower, I punched 10 hearts and glued them to a 1 1/4" circle punch and tucked one edge of each heart under the next heart.  I then glued the bottom layer of the hearts to my 5 x 3 3/4 Very Vanilla layer.
  • I used the retired Boho Blossom punch for the center of my flower.  However; I believe a scallop circle punch would work.
  • A Very Vintage Designer button is used for the center of the flower applied with a glue dot.
  • The words are from Remembering Your Birthday stamp set stamped with Tuxedo Memento black ink.
  • The ribbon is some retired Very Vanilla seam binding.
  • Remember to decorate your envelope, can't leave the house naked, right?

February 2016 Hostess Club Project-Serene Silhouettes

We used Serene Silhouettes for one of the two hostess club projects we made in February 2016.  It was so much fun, and all the cards turned out beautifully.  The image was stamped on black card stock with versamark, heat embossed using white embossing powder, and once the image had cooled, we colored with Sharpie Markers.  Easy peasy.

The card stock colors are:
Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Garden Green, Marina Mist, So Saffron, and Whisper White.

If you have any questions, let me know.

No Bones About It

Stampin' Up! has a stamp set in their 2015-16 catalog, No Bones About It, and it's all about dinosaurs.  Once I started playing with it, the little dino's and their bones kept calling my name, and said "come play with me".  So I did.  Then I saw a card on Amy K's blog, and it was so cute, I just had to CASE it.  You can see her original card Here.  I am so excited to offer this card at all of my Creative Paper Therapy classes on April 5, April 7, and April 9, 2016.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 11 x 4 1/4 piece of Basic Black, scored at 5 1/2.
  • The next layer is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Old Olive.
  • The Botanical Gardens DSP is 5 x 3 3/4.
  • I used the 5th die (from the inside) from the Circle Framelits dies and cut the circle out of Botanical Gardens DSP.
  • The vertical piece of  Botanical Gardens DSP is 1 x 5.
    • The Whisper White piece for the words and dinosaur are: 3 1/4 x 2 1/2.
    • The Basic Black mat for the words is 3 3/8 x 2 5/8.
    • The dinosaur bones were stamped in Tuxedo Memento ink, and the solid image was stamped with Hello Honey.
    • Remember to decorate your envelope, can't leave the house naked, right?
If you have any questions, let me know.

Circle of Spring, Something to Say, and Papillon Potpourri

I could not decide which card I liked best, so for my classes, I prepared the supplies for both.  If you have the opportunity to attend any of my Paper Therapy classes on April 5, April 7, or April 9, 2016, you can decide which card you want to make.  Of course, you are always welcome to make more than one of each card.  I know which one I prefer, and I am looking forward to seeing which one is your favorite.

    Recipe:
    • The base is an 11 x 4 1/4 piece of Melon Mambo, scored at 5 1/2.
    • The next layer is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Pink Pirouette.
    • The next layer is a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Whisper White.
    • I stamped the wreaths from Circle of Spring with Tuxedo Memento black ink, and colored them with Old Olive, Melon Mambo, and Pink Pirouette markers.  I cut them out with my Big Shot and the Wonderful Wreath framelits.
    • I stamped the bow with Pink Pirouette ink onto Pink Pirouette card stock, and cut it out with my Big Shot and the Wonderful Wreath framelits.
    • I used Something to Say and stamped the itty bitty flowers with Pink Pirouette ink onto Pink Pirouette card stock.
    • I stamped the words with Tuxedo Memento black ink and punched them out with a 1 3/4" punch.  Glued this to the card front and popped up the wreath with dimensionals.
    • I used a butterfly from the Papillon Potpourri set to stamp the butterflies in So Saffron ink onto So Saffron card stock, and punched them out with Bitty butterfly punch.
    • Remember to decorate your envelope, can't leave the house naked, right?
