Corner Fold Card and Wild About Flowers for my February, 2016 classes

Wild about Flowers is so easy to use.  No coloring, only two-step stamping.  Great for a beginner and an avid, experienced stamper as well.  I am offering this card at all of my February 2, February 4, and February 6, 2016 classes.    Not to be concerned about the cutting and scoring for this card when you come to class.  I have prepared kits, and your only job will to copy my card, or change the design, your pleasure.

Would like to make one of these cards at home, and don't know where to begin?  I am sure there are many avenues to take, and I went to YouTube and searched for Stampin' Up! Corner Fold Card.  There are many videos, and examples from which to choose.

I hold adult classes each month.  If you live near my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC 27253 and would like to attend any of my classes, please let me know.  For details, see my class schedule right here on my blog, or on my SU website found Here.

Bear Hugs for Gracie's 11th Birthday

My sweet granddaughter, Gracie, is celebrating her 11th birthday today, and this is the card I made from her Poppi and me.   I had so much fun playing with the Bear Hugs stamp set and coordinating framelits, it was almost like I was a kid again.
Gracie's card is a 5 x 7, and I'm certain you could make this card into an A-2 size just by scaling it down a little.

To make this card:
  • The base is Very Vanilla.
  • For the next layer I used Chocolate Chip ink and the Hardwood stamp on Crumb Cake card stock.
  • I used my Fringe Scissors on Garden Green card stock for the grass.
  • The bears were stamped in Chocolate Chip classic ink on Very Vanilla card stock, and the bear's skirt and hat was stamped in Bermuda Bay ink on Very Vanilla card stock.
  • The Happy Birthday was stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink, and the flowers were colored with markers.
  • Remember to decorate your envelope, can't leave the house naked, right?
If you have any questions, let me know.

I hold adult classes each month.  If you live near my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC 27253 and would like to attend any of my classes, please let me know.  For details, see my class schedule right here on my blog, or on my SU website found Here.

Rose Wonder, Picture Perfect and Timeless Textures

Here is another way to use the new stamp set from Stampin' Up!, Rose Wonder, and the Rose Garden Thinlit dies.  I saw this card on YouTube, post of 12/31/2015, by Ayana Johnson, and I found it to be quick and easy.

To make this card:
  • The large rose and leaves were stamped on a 3 3/4 x 5 piece of Whisper White card stock (cs) with Watermelon Wonder classic ink.  Then an image from Timeless Textures was stamped with So Saffron classic ink on the Whisper White cs.
  • With Tombow adhesive I glued the Whisper White piece to a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Pool Party cs.
  • I wrapped a piece of Watermelon Wonder 1" Satin Ribbon around the White/Pool Party piece.
  • I glued the Pool Party/White combo piece to an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Watermelon Wonder cs scored at 4 1/4.
  • I colored the rose with a 2-Way glue pen, and covered the glue with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.
  • I colored the leaves with a Pool Party marker.
  • I stamped the frame from the Rose Wonder stamp set and the words from Picture Perfect with Watermelon Wonder classic ink onto Pool Party cs. I cut it out with the Rose Garden Thinlits dies.
  • I put the frame on the card with dimensionals.
  • Remember to decorate your envelope, can't leave the house naked, right?
If you have any questions, let me know.

The new Rose Garden Thinlit dies from Stampin' Up! are so versatile, and Paper-Piecing is one way to use the dies.  Amazing, right?

Should you buy the Rose Garden Thinlit dies and matching stamp set for only $49.25, add any other item to total $50.00 or more, for example, a pack of Dimensionals for just $4.00, and you will get to pick something from SU's 2016 Sale-a-bration catalog for free. This offer is available until March 31, 2016.  Please feel free to click Here to place an order in my on-line store.

  • Layered on top of the Garden Green is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Blushing Bride cs.
  • Layered on top of the Blushing Bride cs is a 4 x 3 piece of dsp from the Love Blossoms paper stack.
  • An image from Timeless Textures was stamped with Blushing Bride ink on the Blushing Bride cs.
  • Some retired Rose Red seam binding was placed over the Love Blossoms paper stack piece.
  • A 2 1/2 circle was punched from Wild Wasabi cs and adhered to the Love Blossoms piece with snail.
  • A 4 1/8 x 2 1/2 piece of Whisper White cs was stamped with a stamp from Sunburst Sayings with Early Espresso classic ink, and mounted to a 4 1/4 x 2 5/8 piece of Rose Red cs with snail.
  • The rose was cut out with the Rose Garden thinlits dies in both Blushing Bride and Rose Red cs, and paper pieced.
  • The leaves were cut out with Garden Green cs and the Bouquet Bigz die, and glued to the back of the flower with adhesive.
  • The leaves and flower combination were put on the Whisper White cs with dimensionals.
  • The bling on the rose came from my new Wink of Stella clear pen.
  • The White Perfect Accents were colored with a Sharpie.

Happy Birthday Everyone, Papillon Potourri, English Garden DSP and more

I used Happy Birthday Everyone for my sentiment on this wonderful card.  This is a Stampin' Up! set available when you host a $150.00 party, or have an order of $150.00 or more.  You can find this set on page 179 of SU's 2015-16 catalog.

I saw this card on Pinterest, and traced it back to Wanda at My Creative Corner and you can see her card Herepost of 9/23/2015.

I am offering this beautiful card at all of my February 2, February 4, or February 6, 2016 classes, and if you live near me, I hope you will able to attend.

Supplies used to make this card:
  • The Cherry Cobbler base is 11 x 4 1/4, scored at 5 1/2.
  • The next layer of Blushing Bride is 5 1/4 x 4
  • The next layer of Whisper White is 5 x 3 3/4.  I dry embossed it with the Stylish Stripes embossing folder before I used Tombow liquid glue to adhere it to the Blushing Bride piece.
  • The 1 7/8 x 4 7/8 piece of English Garden dsp was adhered to a piece 2 x 5 piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock with Tombow snail.  This two piece card stock and dsp was adhered to the Whisper White embossed layer with Tombow liquid glue.
  • After the 3 1/8 x 1 5/8 piece of Whisper White was stamped with my sentiment in Cherry Cobbler classic ink, it was adhered to a 3 3/8 x 1 7/8 piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock with snail.  Then this combination was adhered to the card with dimensionals on the right half, and adhesive on the left.
  • The small butterfly was stamped with Blushing Bride classic ink on Blushing Bride card stock and punched out with the Bitty Butterfly punch.  A glue dot was used to adhere the butterfly to the card, and I added a basic pearl.
  • The large butterfly was cut out with a Butterfly Thinlit die from a 3 x 3 1/2 piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock.  I added three Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the middle of the big butterfly.
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.  No naked envelopes, right?
If you have any questions, let me know.

Butterfly Basics and Perfect Pairings

For this post I used a stamp set that is in the "regular" 2015-16 catalog by Stampin' Up!, Butterfly Basics.  The words are from Perfect Pairings, a stamp set that you can get for FREE, (don't you just love FREE?), with a $50.00 purchase beginning January 5, 2016.

I saw this layout on Lyssa Zwolanek's blog, and you can see her card Here, post of July 7, 2015.  Unfortunately, for my picture, the colors I used do not show up as beautiful as they are in person. Fortunately, I am offering this card at all of my January 5, January 7, and January 9, 2016 classes, and if you have the opportunity to attend, you too, will get to make this lovely, any occasion card.

To make this card:
  • Base of card is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock scored at 4 1/4.
  • Layered on top of the Blackberry Bliss is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Perfect Plum card stock.
  • Layered on top of the Perfect Plum card stock is a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Very Vanilla card stock.
  • The images from Butterfly Basics and the words from Perfect Pairings were stamped with Blackberry Bliss classic ink.
  • The dimensions of the Blackberry Bliss card stock bases for the flower images are:  3 3/8 x 1 7/8, 2 3/8 x 1 7/8, and 1 5/8 x 1 5/8.
  • The dimensions of the Very Vanilla card stock for the flower images are:  3 1/4 x 1 3/4, 2 1/4 x 1 3/4, and 1 1/2 x 1 1/2.
  • The flowers were stamped with Perfect Plum classic ink.
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.  No naked envelopes, right?

Balloon Celebration

Another fun card that showcases a set in the 2016 Occasions Mini from Stampin' Up!, Balloon Celebration, and will be available for purchase on January 5, 2016.  The stamp set is bundled with a new punch, Balloon Bouquet.  For this card I used the Curvy Corner Trio punch to add more dimension.  I am excited (what else is there?) to offer this card at all of my January 5, January 7, and January 9, 2016 classes.

To make this card:
  • Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock to 5 x 3 3/4, and punch corners with the Curvy Corner Trio punch.
  • Stamp the Whisper White piece with the balloon strings from the Balloon Celebration stamp set in Tuxedo Memento Black ink.
  • Stamp the bow with Melon Mambo classic ink.
  • Punch six balloons from the It's My Party DSP stack with the Balloon Bouquet punch.
  • Stamp an outline on each balloon with Tuxedo Memento Black ink and a stamp from Balloon Celebration.
  • Place the balloons on the Whisper White card stock.  Glue four of the balloons with snail, and pop two up with SU dimensionals.
  • Stamp stars and your sentiment with Melon Mambo ink and Crushed Curry ink with stamps from Balloon Celebration.
  • Adhere the completed Whisper White piece to a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Basic Black card stock that has been punched with the Curvy Corner Trio punch.
  • Adhere the Black/White combination to a piece of 11 x 4 1/4 piece of Melon Mambo that has been scored at 5 1/2.
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.  No naked envelopes, right?
