 See the Good &
Flower & Field DSP

See the Good is a set that has beautiful words, and flowers, and mostly the words is the reason I bought the set.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Just Jade scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Bumble Bee layer is 5 1/4 x 4
  • The Crumb Cake layer is 5 x 3 3/4 and is embossed with the Tasteful Textile folder.
  • The 3 3/4 x 1 strip is a piece of Flower & Field DSP. (free with a $50.00 order until February 28, 2021).
  • The next 4 1/4 x 3 piece of Flower & Field DSP is the base for the 4 x 2 3/4 Basic White rectangle.
  • I used some Basic White and a die from the Hippo & Friends dies, stamped the words with Early Espresso ink.
  • I placed this piece on the 4 x 2 3/4 Basic White and stamped the flowers and vines with Just Jade and Bumblebee ink. Removed the cut out die piece, glued together the Flower & Field and Basic White pieces, added some Linen Thread. Adhered this combo to the card front with dimensionals, and added the die cut out with dimensionals.
  • All done!!! Remember to decorate your envelope.

Healing Hugs & Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper

The Hydrangea Haven bundle is so wonderful with the stamp set, dies, and DSP, and I thought it would be fun to show you an easy card using the Hydrangea Hill DSP, without the stamp set.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Gorgeous Grape scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Purple Posy layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Hydrangea Hill DSP layer is 5 x 3 3/4.
  • The next 5 x 2 Purple Posy layer is the base for the 4 3/4 x 1 7/8 Gorgeous Grape layer that has been embossed with the Ornate Floral folder.  I used the Banner Triple Punch on both of these pieces.  Before I glued these pieces to the card front, I added some Playing with Patterns ribbon.
  • The three squares are:
    • 2 3/4 Purple Posy
    • 2 5/8 Old Olive
    • 2 1/2 Basic White
  • The vines are stamped with Old Olive ink, and are from a very old SU set, and actually, I think any leaves or vines will work.
  • The words from Healing Hugs are stamped with Tuxedo Memento Black ink.
  • All done!!!  Remember to decorate your envelope.

Meant to Be & Heartfelt Triple Layered Card

If you look at my post of January 31, 2021, you will see this same exact sketch and colors, because I made one just like it with Game On.

I had one extra kit left over from class, and decided to make it into a Valentine's Day card. Great idea, right?

There are lots of how-to videos on YouTube, just search for Stampin' Up! triple time stamping technique.

Recipe:

  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Real Red scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Basic White layers are 5 1/4 x 4, 4 1/4 x 3 1/4, and 3 1/4 x 2 1/4.
  • The Basic Black layers are 4 1/2 x 3 1/2, and 3 1/2 x 2 1/2.
  • The images and words are stamped with Real Red ink.
  • The words are stamped on Basic White and backed with Real Red cardstock, and these are punched with the Tailored Tag punch. The red is cut in the middle, horizontally, and glued to the back of the Basic White, then popped up with dimensionals.
  • All done!!! Remember to decorate your envelope.

Friends are Like Seashells Bundle & High Tide

There's an ocean of possibilities in the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set. The seashell, sand dollar, starfish, and the sea grass are the perfect accompaniment for sea-themed cards and scrapbook pages. In addition, there are coordinating dies that include a beautiful undersea scene with shells and flowing sea plants. Add the coordinating Seashells 3D embossing folder to add dimensional details to the die cut that looks fabulous in any color, especially simple blues and whites.
Below is a short video from Stampin' Up! demonstrating the Friends Are Like Seashells Bundle.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Seaside Spray, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Soft Suede layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Basic White layer is 5 x 3 3/4.
  • I sponged the top of the white layer with Seaside Spray ink and our new Blending Brushes.
  • The sand is made by stamping multiple times with Crumb Cake ink and a stamp from High Tide.
  • I used Seaside Spray ink and a stamp from High Tide to create the water.
  • The seashells are stamped with Crumb Cake, Rococo Rose, Smoky Slate, Seaside Spray, and the seaweed is Soft Sea Foam ink.
  • The birds, also from High Tide, are stamped with Tuxedo Memento Black ink.

Happy Thoughts and Hydrangea Hill  Mercury Glass Acetate

This picture does not do justice to the beautiful Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass Acetate I used to make this card, and seriously, this acetate is gorgeous.
This is one of the cards I am offering in my March 9th and 13th, 2021 classes.
If you would like to attend, please click on the events link on the very top of this blog, or on the link below.
My sweet friend, Wendie, and I put this card together, and it was created from a sketch from Mary Fish.

Recipe:

  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Rococo Rose scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Very Vanilla layer is 5 1/4 x 4, and is embossed with the Absolutely Argyle folder.
  • The Rich Razzleberry rectangle is 5 x 2 1/2 and is the base for the three pieces Hydrangea Hill Mercury Acetate.
  • The two pieces of the acetate is 2 3/4 x 1 1/4, and the middle piece of acetate is 2 3/4 x 1 1/2.
  • I wrapped Vanilla Metallic Edge ribbon around the front of these three layers then adhered them to the Rococo Rose base.
  • The words from Happy Thoughts is stamped with Tuxedo Memento Black ink on Very Vanilla and cut out with one of the Tasteful Label dies.
  • The Rich Razzleberry label, behind the Very Vanilla label, is also cut out with the same Tasteful Label die.  I cut the Razzleberry label in half horizontally, and adhered it to the back of the vanilla with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I used dimensionals to pop it up.
  • Made a little "knot bow" with the ribbon.
  • All done!!!  Remember to decorate your envelope.

There are so many different themed cards one can make with the FREE Corner Bouquet stamp set, and this is one I am offering at my February 2nd and 6th, 2021 card classes.  I said FREE, because when you place an order for $50.00 during the Stampin' Up! Recipe:

  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Mint Macaron scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Merry Merlot layer is 5 1/4 x 4, and is embossed with the Ornate Floral folder.
  • The next 5 x 3 layer is some Oh So Ombre DSP, that is also FREE with an order of $50.00, and is embossed with the new Painted Texture folder.

Chicken Card for my February, 2021 Creative Therapy Card Classes

Stampin Up! is bringing back one of it's most popular Sale-a-Bration stamp sets from 2017, the Hey Chick set, and this time, they have created some awesome coordinating dies.

But, that's not all!  SU has also created a second set, the Hey, Birthday Chick stamp set and coordinating dies.

If you already own the Hey Chick stamp set, you can purchase the Chick Dies separately.  The bundles are discounted at 10% off! These are awesome new bundles, and will be available thru June 30, 2021, or while supplies last.

So the above card is my take on the new stamps and dies.  Well, actually, it was a team effort.  Me, Wendie and Michelle, or MWM.  That's us.

Recipe:

  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Old Olive scored at 4 1/4.
  • The So Saffron layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Basic White layer is 5 x 3 3/4, and is sponged with So Saffron ink and a SU Blending Brush.
  • The fence is Soft Suede.
  • The barn is Poppy Parade.
  • The corn stalks are Old Olive.
  • The corn is So Saffron.
  • The bow tie (doesn't every chicken wear a bowtie?) is Balmy Blue.
  • The egg-chick and chicken are stamped with Tuxedo Memento Black ink on white and colored with So Saffron, Poppy Parade and Balmy Blue markers.  They are popped up with mini-dimensionals.
  • The Happy Birthday is made by adhering Balmy Blue cardstock to a piece of Foam Adhesive sheet.  Lay the die on the cardstock/foam, and run thru your die cutting machine.  Once you peel off the backing of the adhesive sheet, you apply it directly to the card front. Lots of dimension, and no need for mini-dimensionals.  Awesome product!
  • All done!!!  Remember to decorate your envelope.
