Hope & Peace, Beautiful Shapes, Poppy Moments, & Split Card Texture Dies

This Christmas card uses a lot of supplies.  I am offering this card for my September 6th and 10th Creative Therapy Card Classes and am looking forward to sharing my creation with my sweet ladies.
  • Recipe:
    • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Soft Succulent, scored at 4 1/4.
    • The next layer is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Evening Evergreen.
    • The two pieces of Lights Aglow DSP are 5 1/8 x 1/2 and adhered to the edge of the 5 1/4 x 4 Evening Evergreen.
    • The next layer of Evening Evergreen is 5 1/4 x 3 1/4.
    • A 5 x 3 piece of the Lights Aglow DSP is adhered to the 5 1/4 x 3 1/4 Evening Evergreen with liquid glue.
    • The 5 1/8 x 3 1/8 piece of Cherry Cobbler layer is cut with a Split Card Textures Die.
    • The foil leaves are cut out with the Poppy Moments dies and Gold Foil.  These are glued behind a Soft Succulent circle cut out with the Layering Circle Dies.
    • The words from Hope & Peace are stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink on a piece of Very Vanilla.  I cut this piece out with a Beautiful Shapes die and adhered to the Soft Succulent circle with Multipurpose liquid glue.  I popped this combination up with dimensionals.
    • I added three Festive Pearls.
    • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

Perched in a Tree Bundle for my September, 2022 Creative Therapy Classes

I saw this card on page 46 of the Holiday Mini Catalog from Stampin' Up! and CASEd it (Copy And Share Everything), and added an extra layer.  SU's catalogs have many great examples, and so easy to copy.
The Aspen Tree dies that coordinate with the Perched in a Tree stamp set are FREE until August 31, 2022, with a qualifying purchase of $100.00 or more.
I am offering this card at both of my September 6th and 10th, 2022 classes.  I especially like the kind of cards that can be anything you need.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Crumb Cake, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The next layer is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Mint Macaron.
  • The next 5 x 3 3/4 Crumb Cake layer is embossed with the Fall Leaf 3D Folder.
  • The bird is stamped on Watercolor Paper with Jet Black Stazon  ink.  FYI:  A cleaning pad dedicated to Stazon Cleaner is needed when using this kind of ink.  To color my bird:
    • I added a drop of Pool Party & a drop of Sahara Sand reinker to an acrylic block and used a Water Painter to color my bird.
  • The branch is stamped with Early Espresso ink on Basic White, cut out with an Aspen Tree Die, and I used Crumb Cake ink and a Blending Brush to give it some texture.
  • I used a Blending Brush and Pale Papaya ink on the So Saffron branch to give it some depth.
  • The words are stamped with Early Espresso ink on Basic White and cut out with a Seasonal Label die.
  • I added three Matte Black dots.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

This unusual faux 3-D card is made with the Beautiful Shapes Dies.  It takes a little time, and so worth it, and the effect is amazing.  I saw a post by Melinda Hart and you can see her how-to video HERE.

  • The Night of Navy is 5 1/4 x 4.
  •  The Basic White is 5 x 3 3/4.
  • The shapes are cut out with Balmy Blue, Night of Navy, and some retired Midnight Muse cardstock and the Beautiful Shapes Dies.
  • The images on the cubes are stamped with Night of Navy ink and a stamp from the Perfect Pomegranate stamp set.
  • The words, from Amazing Phrases, are stamped with Night of Navy ink on Basic White and cut with my amazing Paper Snip Scissors and popped up with dimensionals.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

 A Fun Kit-Together Day

I had a Kit-Together this past Saturday.  You might be asking, "What is a Kit-Together"?  I invited my wonderful, supportive and amazing ladies to my home, and all brought any kits they had and spent time putting them together while relaxing and having fun.  We all socialized and had some really good "eats".
I am so blessed to have a classroom large enough to hold Creative Therapy Card-Making Classes, and other related events.  I am even more blessed to have so many incredible and fantastic stamping friends.

I hold monthly adult card-making classes in my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC 27253. My next set of classes are September 6th and 10th, 2022, and if you would like to attend, see my class schedule right here on my blog or on my Stampin' Up! website, found Here.
