 Nuts & Bolts
for a fun birthday card

Nuts & Bolts is a really, really cute stamp set on page 13 of the Spring, 2022 Mini catalog. It is great for Valentine's Day, thank you, birthday, and many other occasions.  It is available until June 30 or while supplies last. Such a deal for nine cling stamps for just $21.00.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Polished Pink, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Gold Foil layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Basic White layer is 5 x 3 3/4 and is embossed with the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder.
  • My robot, Wilbur, is stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, on Basic White, and cut out with my handy-dandy Paper Snip Scissors.  I colored him with blends of Smoky Slate, Polished Pink and tapped him with a little Cajun Craze.
  • The Abstract Beauty DSP is cut into different lengths and widths.  I popped up the stripped piece with dimensionals so Wilbur would have something on which to stand.
  • I stamped the hearts directly to the card front with black ink and colored them with Polished Pink blends.
  • The word is stamped with black ink on a 1 1/2 x 1 piece of Basic White, cut it at an angle with my handy-dandy Paper Snips, and used my Blending Brushes to sponge the edges with Polished Pink ink.
  • Now, how easy is that.  And remember to decorate your envelope.

 On the Horizon &
Grassy Grove Bundle
I wish I could take credit for this card.  It goes to my sweet friend, Wendie Jamison.  She is a talented and creative SU demonstrator, and I absolutely appreciate her willingness to share her creations.
Of the many beautiful offerings in the new 2022-23 Annal Catalog, the Grassy Grove Bundle is one of my favorites.
I hope you enjoy today's post.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Night of Navy, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Gorgeous Grape layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Basic White layer is 5 x 3 3/4.  Wendie used Garden Green, Highland Heather, Bermuda Bay inks and a Blending Brush to get a sunset affect.
  • The Grove Die is cut with Basic Black and added to the card front with Foam Adhesive Strips.  The deer is also cut out with Basic Black cardstock and popped up with a mini dimensional.
  • The words, from On the Horizon, are stamped with Tuxedo Memento Black ink on Basic White and cut out with a Rectangle Stitched Die and sponged with Highland Heather ink and a Blending Brush.
  • Some Rhinestone Basic Jewels are added.  I think the "bling" look like stars.
  • All done! Remember to decorate envelope!!

Bottled Happiness & Sending Smiles for my May 2022 Creative Therapy Card Classes

http://
Once again I used Bottled Happiness for one of my offerings for my May 2022 classes.  (See post of May 14, 2022 for another card I made for class using the Bottled Happiness set).  This time I combined it with the Sending Smiles Bundle and ended up with this gorgeous card.  It is very easy, and because it's two-step stamping, and it is quick to make.  Shhhh, don't tell anyone, let the receiver think you slaved for hours. 😊
I am offering this card at both of my May 17th and 21st, 2022 classes and I'm looking forward to sharing a few stamping tips with my class.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Tahitian Tide scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Starry Sky layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Basic White layer is 5 x 3 3/4 and the flowers are stamped with Starry Sky and Parakeet Party ink.
  • The 4 x 1 1/2 rectangle of the Tahitian Tide over the flowers is the base for the 3 7/8 x 1 3/8 Parakeet Party.
  • The Sending Dies includes a large text die and shadow die of the word "Sending" to emphasize whatever sentiment you want to convey.  I cut out the large text die with Starry Sky, and then used an adhesive sheet and Basic White cardstock to cut out the shadow die.  The adhesive sheet eliminates the need for liquid glue when adhering the shadow die to the large text die.  If you would like to learn how to use adhesive sheets with dies, click Here to see a YouTube video.
  • "a card to say hello" is stamped on a piece of Basic White with black ink and cut out with a Sending Die.
  • I added some Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
  • Now, how easy is that.  And remember to decorate your envelope.

Easter Friends can be used for more than Easter.  I combined Easter Friends with Flowing Flowers and the results--two fun cards.
I plan to offer this card at both of my May 17th and 21st, 2022 classes and I'm looking forward to sharing a few stamping tips with my class.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Soft Succulent scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Evening Evergreen layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Basic White layer is 5 x 2 3/4.  The ducks are stamped with Crumb Cake ink and colored with Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen.
  • The grass is stamped with Evening Evergreen ink.
  • The 2 pieces of Flowering Fields DSP is 5 x 1.
  • The words are stamped on a piece of Basic White with Evening Evergreen ink.  I then cut out the words with my handy-dandy Paper Snip Scissors.  I sponged the edges with the same ink then popped up with Mini-Dimensionals.
  • I made a small knot with Soft Succulent 1/2" Satin Ribbon and adhered it with Glue Dots.
  • Now, how easy is that.  And remember to decorate your envelope.

Ocean Front & Bottled Happiness for my May 2022 Creative Therapy Card Classes

I combined Oceanfront & Bottled Happiness to make this card.  I saw it on Jacqui Lawrence's blog, post of April 17, 2022, and you can see her post Here.
I am offering this card at both of my May 17th and 21st, 2022 classes.

Recipe:

  • The Pool Party layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Basic White layer is 4 3/4 x 3 1/2 and stamped with Bermuda Bay, Soft Suede, and Tuxedo Black Memento inks, and embossed with the Painted Texture folder, I then used a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to outline this piece.  I also used the marker to make the birds.
  • The bottle was stamped with Orchid Oasis ink on Orchid Oasis cardstock and punched with the Vintage Bottle punch.  I then used another stamp from the set and stamped the bottle with White Craft ink.
  • The cork was stamped with Soft Suede ink on Soft Suede cardstock and cut out with my handy-dandy Paper Snips.  The bottle and the cork are popped up with Mini Dimensionals.
  • The words are stamped with black ink on a 1 x 1 1/2 piece of Basic White and adhered to the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

  Cactus Cuties

I expected the Cactus Cuties stamp set to be lots of fun to use, and boy, was I enjoying myself making this card.  Cactus Cuties and the coordinating punch are in the Spring Mini by Stampin' Up' and is available until June 30, 2022.
I saw a Cactus Cuties card on Heather Heroldt's blog, Heather's Pages, and you can see her card HERE, post of April 21, 2022.
I found that I didn't need the punch to make my card.  I cut everything out with my handy-dandy Paper Snips.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Basic Black scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Calypso Coral layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Pattern Party DSP (retired) layer is 5 x 3 3/4.
  • The Soft Suede strips under the flowerpots are 1/4" wide.
  • I used Cinnamon Cider, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Evening Evergreen, Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz, and Calypso Coral inks.  I popped up the flowerpots with dimensionals after I adhered the cactuses to the card with Multipurpose liquid glue.
  • I stamped the words on the DSP with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.
  • All done!!  Now, how easy is that.  And remember to decorate your envelope.

Lovely You for a Napkin Card

There are so many things you can do with a napkin, and making a card is on the top of my list.  I received this napkin from my friend, Jeri, and thought it was too beautiful to use it for the purpose it was intended.
I used very few supplies, and should you find yourself with extra napkins laying around, add some cardstock to it and make your own awesome card.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Soft Suede, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Pumpkin Pie layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The napkin is adhered to a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Basic White with a glue stick.  Yes, I said a glue stick.  Just like the kiddos use in elementary school.
  • I then adhered the napkin/Basic White layer and Pumpkin Pie piece together with Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Wrapped some white Bakers Twine around these pieces, made a bow, then adhered all to the card base.
  • The words, from Lovely You, are stamped on a 2 1/2 x 1 piece of Basic White with black ink.  The little flower is stamped with Crushed Curry.  I used the Lovely Labels Pick-a-punch to get the "pretty" on the end of the word strip.  I adhered this to the card front with dimensionals.
  • All done!!  Now, how easy is that.  And remember to decorate your envelope.
Should you want to order any of the supplies I used to make this card, please just click Right Here to place your in my on-line store, or you can click on either of the catalogs right here on my blog.

Wild Cats Bundle &

I saw Jan B's YouTube book-card video and decided to give it a try and make my sweet grandson's 7th birthday card.  You can see her video Here, Jan B's Book Card #602, posted August 22, 2021.   It was so much fun, and I used some creative-juices I didn't know I had.
This bundle is available just one more day and is retiring from the 2021-22 catalog.
