Something to Say, Heartfelt Sympathy, Birthday Bouquet DSP, and Botanical Builders Framelits Dies

I am so excited to offer this beautiful, and wonderful all-occasion card at all of my Paper Therapy classes on April 5, April 7, and April 9, 2016.   I used a stamp from Heartfelt Sympathy on the inside.  Perfect combination.

I love the way SU's Mint Macaron coordinates so well with Mossy Meadow.  It is so sad that Mossy Meadow is going away on May 31, 2016.  Should you want to order any of the 2014-16 in-colors, let me know.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Mossy Meadow, scored at  4 1/4.
  • The next layer is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Mint Macaron.
  • The next 3 layers are from Birthday Bouquet DSP:
    • 5 x 3 3/4, over the Mint Macaron.
    • 5 x 2, I punched the tale by using the Banner Triple punch.
    • 3 3/4 x 5/8.
  • The Whisper White piece for the words is: 1 7/8 x 2 7/8, and the tale was cut by using the Banner Triple punch.
  • The Mossy Meadow piece under the words is 2 x 3.
  • The Blushing Bride flower, and the Mossy Meadow leaf were cut by using the Botanical Builder Framelits dies.
  • I glued a gorgeous Botanical Gardens Jewel, in the center of the flower.
  • Remember to decorate your envelope, can't leave the house naked, right?

Over the Rainbow

I bought the stamp set, Over the Rainbow, when it was first introduced in the 2015-16 Stampin' Up! catalog last June 2015, and I am finally getting around to using it.  Nuts, huh?

I saw this card on Splitcoast Stampers, and it was made by Robyn Rasset, and she has a fantastic YouTube video Here.  I added an extra layer of Daffodil Delight card stock, some ribbon, and some flowers from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack.  So that my image was crisp and clear, I used SU's paper piercing mat under the card stock before I stamped my image.  I found a new tool to help me, how about that!!!

This is the card I am offering at both my Shoe Box Swap on March 19, and at all of my Paper Therapy classes on April 5, April 7, and April 9, 2016.   I hope you like it.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Pacific Point scored at  4 1/4.
  • The next layer is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Daffodil Delight.
  • The next layer is a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Wild Wasabi.
  • The layer of Whisper White is 4 3/4 x 3 1/2, on which I embossed the rainbow with silver embossing powder.  I stamped the words with Elegant Eggplant classic ink.
  • The markers I used to color the embossed word, rainbow, was Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, Pacific Point, and Elegant Eggplant.
  • I wrapped the ribbon around each corner on the white piece.
  • Glued all together with Tombow snail.
  • Remember to decorate your envelope, can't leave the house naked, right?

Easter cards for Davis Street United Methodist Church Card Ministry

I was invited to Davis Street United Methodist Church in Burlington, NC to make cards for shut-ins.  The ladies who attend the class are so wonderful, and do a fantastic job. This time Easter cards were requested, and the two cards you see above was what I designed.  It was okay that I used some current and some retired supplies, fun and fellowship was the main ingredient.

Party with Cake and Honeycomb Hello

I had a little time to just play with my paper, stamps and ink, and thought I would combine two stamps sets, Party with Cake and Honeycomb Hello.  I keep gravitating to these fantastic colors, and it's hard to believe they will be going away in May, 2016. I decided I would enjoy them as long as I can.
Below are the supplies I used to make this fun birthday card.
Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1//2 x 5 1/2 piece of Blackberry Bliss scored at  4 1/4.
  • The next layer is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Hello Honey, dry embossed with the Polka Dots embossing folder, (I meant to use the Decorative Dots folder because the Polka Dots is retired).
  • The next layer is a 2 x 5 piece of Lost Lagoon.
  • Then a layer of Whisper White that is 1 7/8 x 4 7/8.
  • To make the circles for my words I used Blackberry Bliss and a 1 1/2 Scalloped Circle Punch (not SU). Then I used Pear Pizzazz and Lost Lagoon and a 1 1/4 Circle Punch.
  • The words were stamped with Blackberry Bliss classic ink on Whisper White card stock and punched out with a 1" Circle Punch.
  • The words, candles and confetti were stamped on the 1 7/8 x 4 7/8 piece of Whisper White with Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon, and Hello Honey classic ink.
  • Remember to decorate your envelope, can't leave the house naked, right?
If you have any questions, let me know.

Easter Duck and Bunny Punch Art!

I think punch art is so much fun.  I love to experience my "little buddies" come to life right before my eyes.
This card uses some current and some retired Stampin' Up! punches, and actually too many to list.
You can find the kit to make this adorable Easter card Here.  Jill Tolkacz has an eBay store, and has many punch art kits available for sale at very reasonable prices.  I find her kits to be professionally packaged, and the directions to each kit are very easy to follow.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Daffodil Delight scored at  4 1/4.
  • The next layer is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Melon Mambo.
  • The next layer is a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Soft Sky.
  • The duck was made from Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, and the bunny was made from Crumb Cake, Pink Pirouette, Basic Black and Whisper White.
