I have enjoyed my membership with Linda Heller's Stamping School for a while, and the above is one of her latest posts, well kinda sorta.  I changed the colors, the focal point, and the words, you know, to make it my own.  You can join Stamping School Here, and get the many benefits of Linda's talents.

Wetlands Stamp Set and
Serene Scenery DSP
With the help of Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper pack, and the Wetlands stamp set, I put this card together in less than 10 minutes. Looks like I did some sponging, right?  The DSP did that for me.
Both of these items are retiring on May 31, 2017, and fortunately, they are available until then, or while supplies last.  If you would like to place an order, see more information below.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Bermuda Bay, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Crumb Cake layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Whisper White piece 5 x 3 3/4.
  • The DSP piece is 4 3/4  3 1/2.
  • I stamped my images with Early Espresso ink.
  • The ovals are from the Stitched Framelits, and the Layering Ovals Framelits.
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.
  • All done, easy, peasy!!!
If you have any questions, please let me know.

Birthday Blooms & Sheltering Tree for a Hostess Club Project
I saw this embossing and coloring technique done by Karen Bastel on Youtube, and you can see her video Here.
I used white embossing powder for the flower, and painted it with Whisper White Craft reinker, and ink pads.  So much fun.  I'm excited to see what all of my hostess club ladies think of this technique when they attend my May 25, 2017 club meeting.
When I decided to combine the current stamp set(s) with SU's new papers and ribbon, I was quite pleased with the end results.
The Tranquil Tide cardstock (#144246), the Fresh Florals DSP (#144131), and the 1/2" Finely Woven Powder Pink ribbon (#144134) will be available for purchase June 1, 2017.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Tranquil Tide, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Whisper White layer is 5 1/4 x 4,
  • The Fresh Florals DSP piece is 5 x 3 3/4.
  • The Whisper White piece under the stamped image is 3 7/8 x 3.
  • The Tranquil Tide piece on which I stamped and heat embossed my image with White embossing powder is 3 3/4 x 2 7/8.
  • I stamped my words with Tuxedo Memento Black ink, on a 3 x 5/8 piece of Whisper White cardstock, and used my paper snips to make tails.
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.
  • All done, easy, peasy!!!

Tile Coasters for my May 2017 Hostess Club Meeting

All of my wonderful Hostess Club ladies are going to have the opportunity to make two self-designed coasters at our meeting this Thursday, May 25, 2017.
Sande Parcell took some time this past week to show me just how easy this project is, and I am very excited to share my new expertise.

Recipe:
  • Basically you stamp a clean, unglazed coaster with a rubber stamp using Stazon ink, and color the image with Sharpie markers.  It's that easy.
  • I bought 1" round self-stick chair slides from my local WalMart, and put 4 on the bottom of each coaster.  Won't scratch your table, and water resistant.  What could be better than that, right???
If you have any questions, or live near me in Graham, NC, and would like to attend my Hostess Club as a guest, please let me know.  I'd be more than happy to share all the details.

Starburst Stamp Set and
Star Blast Edgelits Dies
Such a fun birthday card, and so quick and easy to make, if you have the right tools that is.
This stamp set and Edgelits dies, the Cucumber Crush paper and ink is retiring on May 31, 2017, and they are available for purchase until then, or while supplies last 😇.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Night of Navy, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Whisper White layer is 5 1/4 x 4,
  • The Cucumber Crush piece on which I cut my fun stars is 4 x 4 5/8.
  • The Silver Glimmer paper is 4 x 2 1/4, and I glued it over the Cucumber Crush with Tombow liquid glue.
  • I stamped my words with Night of Navy ink, and I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure I would get my words straight.  Didn't want to take a chance on messing up at this point.
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.
  • All done, easy, peasy!!!

Crazy About You

I purposely glued my Flirty Flamingo and Very Vanilla cardstock to the Dapper Denim catawampus (crooked) and thought it looked kinda unique, that is, until I pasted it to my blog.  Now, not so sure.
This is one of my favorite stamp sets that will be retiring on May 31, 2017, along with the coordinating punch.  The good news, they are available for purchase until then, or while supplies last 😇.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Dapper Denim, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Flirty Flamingo layer is 5 x 3 3/4, and I made my background by stamping the flower from Crazy about You with Flirty Flamingo (FF) ink.
  • The Very Vanilla piece is 4 1/2 x 3 1/4.
  • I stamped the flower three times on Very Vanilla cardstock with FF ink, punched the largest flower with the Flower Medallion punch, and fussy cut the two smaller flowers, (I must say, very therapeutic).  I used dimensionals to give the flower lots of height. I stamped the leaves with Wild Wasabi ink before I glued my flower on the card front.
  • The words are stamped with Dapper Denim ink.
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.
  • All done, easy, peasy!!!

Basket Bunch Bundle
I was so excited to use the Basket Bunch Bundle to make a thank you card, and I thought this set was just for Easter cards, boy, was I surprised.

Both the Basket Bunch stamp set and the Basket Builder Framelits Dies are in the 2017 Occasions Mini, and are available until May 31, 2017, or while supplies last. The best part, both the stamp set and dies are on sale.  The dies are 50% off the catalog price, and is just $15.50, and the stamp set is 20% off and is just $16.80.  What a deal, right!!!!

Recipe:
  • The base is a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of Cucumber Crush (retiring), scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Night of Navy layer is 5 1/4 x 4 and dry embossed with the Petal Burst embossing folder.
  • The Daffodil Delight layer is 4 x 2 1/8.
  • The piece of Affectionely Yours Speciality dsp (retiring), is 3 7/8 x 2.
  • I cut out the Crumb Cake scallop square, and the Whisper White on which I glued my basket, with the Layering Squares Framelits.
  • I stamped with words with Night of Navy ink.  The flowers and leaves were stamped on Daffodil Delight and Cucumber Crush cardstock with Night of Navy ink.  The basket was stamped on Crumb Cake cardstock with Soft Suede ink, and I used my Big Shot and the Basket Builder Framelits Dies to cut them out.
  • I added a few basic pearls to the flowers.
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.
If you have any questions, please let me know.

Best Badge Bundle
I like to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) cards from SU's catalog.  Why you ask, or maybe you are not asking why, and I guess I'm going to tell you anyway!! Because it's fun, it's easy, I don't have to think much (and that's a really good thing), and the designing has been done by one of the very talented SU staff.  How much easier can it get, right?
What I did do, is add another layer, and changed the background dsp, and used an embossing folder. Sure am liking "my" new creation.
Both the stamp set and the punch will be in the new 2017-18 catalog, just not as a 10% bundle savings.  The card stock colors I used (except for the Whisper White) is retiring May 31, 2017, however, any combination of colors would work.

Recipe:
  • The base is a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of Tip Top Taupe, scored at 5 1/2.
  • The Whisper White layer is 5 1/4 x 4, and I dry embossed it with Sparkle embossing folder, (carried over).
  • The 2 x 5 1/4 piece of DSP is from the 2015-17 In-Color paper stack.
  • The Watermelon Wonder piece is 4 x 3, and the Mint Macaron piece is 3 7/8 x 2 7/8.
  • I stamped the birdcage on Whisper White with Memento Tuxedo ink, then punched it out with the Best Badge punch.  I also used the punch on the Mint Macaron to make a window.  I glued the stamped birdcage to the Watermelon Wonder card stock, and put dimensionals on the back of the Mint before placing it over the birdcage.
  • I stamped the words on Watermelon Wonder with Black Archival ink, and punched the piece out with the Duet Banner punch, (carried over).  I popped this piece up with dimensionals, as well.
  • I slipped the Linen Thread through the top of the bird cage and made a bow.
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.
  • All done, easy, peasy!!!
