  Rejoice in Him

This card uses a new stamp set in the Stampin' Up! 2023 Spring Mini Catalog, Rejoice in Him.  The technique I used for this card is called Retiform, and there are several videos on YouTube.  Just search: Stampin' Up! Retiform Technique, and you will see how easy it is to make a card like this one.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Highland Heather, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Gorgeous Grape layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Basic White layer is 5 x 3 3/4 and I used Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape ink to design.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

 Lucky Clover

Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, Basic White,
Design a Daydream DSP,
Stitched with Whimsy Die, Stylish Shapes Dies

Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen, Basic White, Lovely Linen DSP,
Stitched with Whimsy Die, Layering Circle Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies,
Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon

St. Patrick's Day is really not so far off that I cannot think about making some green cards. Lucky Clover is a perfect set.

 Recipe:
  • The bases are 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The second layers are 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Basic White layers are 5 x 3 3/4. I used the Stitched with Whimsy die to get the squiggly dotted lines around the edges.  This die does not cut out and embosses a design all around the cardstock.
  • The two pieces of DSP on each card measures 3 3/4 x 1 1/4 & 2 3/4 x 2.
  • The words are stamped on Basic White and cut out with a Stylish Shape Die.
  • The clovers are stamped on Basic White with coordinating inks and cut out Stylish Shape Dies and Layering Circle Dies.
  • Some Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon is added behind the Layering Circle Dies.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

  Rejoice in Him

When I cannot figure out how I am going to design a card, I turn to the SU catalog.  There are hundreds of samples in the catalog(s), and many cards to CASE.
I copied this card and sketch from the 2023 Mini Catalog, page 54 and you can see the example Here. I changed it some to make it my own.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Soft Succulent, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The second layer is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Soft Sea Foam and embossed with the Painted Texture folder.
  • The 5 x 2 1/8 piece of Evening Evergreen is the base for the 5 x 2 piece of Fancy Flora DSP.
  • The next 3 5/8 x 2 1/4 Evening Evergreen rectangle is cut out with a Rectangle Stitched Die and is the base for the 3 3/8 x 2 piece of Shimmery White.  I stamped Jesus with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored Him with Pale Papaya & Sahara Sand inks and a Blender Pen.  I wrapped some Linen Thread around this piece before I adhered it to the card front.
  • I stamped the leaves with Evening Evergreen ink on Basic White, cut them out with my handy-dandy scissors.  I then colored the inside of the leaves with Soft Sea Foam ink and a Blender Pen.
  • The words are stamped on a piece of Soft Sea Foam with black ink and cut out with a Something Fancy Die. I added it to the card with dimensionals.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.
