Cup of Tea Bundle

This beautiful card was offered by Retha Fulp at our last Shoe Box Swap.  Once I made this card, I was convinced that I needed this bundle in my collection.

Recipe:

  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Basic White scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Sweet Sorbet layer is 5 1/4 x 4 and is embossed with the Time Worn folder.
  • I wrapped some 2022-24 In-Color Baker's Twine around the Sweet Sorbet layer two times before I glued it to the base.
  • The Petal Pink layer is 4 x 3 and is the base for the 3 3/4 x 2 3/4 piece of Basic White.
  • The Tea Boutique DSP piece is 4 x 1, and the flag is cut with my handy-dandy Paper Snip Scissors.
  • The cup, leaves, flowers, & lemon are cut with the Teacup Dies.
  • A rhinestone basic pearl is added to the center of the little flower.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

Waves of Inspiration Bundle for my July 2022 Classes

Another card CASEd (Copy And Share Everything) from 2022-23 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog, page 101.  This one is for my July 5th and July 9th Creative Therapy Card Classes.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Tahitian Tide scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Smoky Slate layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Basic White layer is 5 x 3 3/4.
    • I began by stamping the ocean with Tahitian Tide ink.
    • I sponged some Mango Melody ink from the top to the middle of the card, being careful not to sponge too near the ocean.
    • I used a Coastal Cabana Stampin' Write marker to add little sprinkles of color around the water.
    • The pelican is stamped in Smoky Slate on Basic White and cut out with a Waves Dies, and adhered to the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
    • Two ocean dies are cut out: one with Smoky Slate and one with Basic White.  I used adhesive sheets to cut these pieces so it was super easy to adhere them to the stamped ocean.
    • Three birds are stamped with Tuxedo Black Multipurpose ink.
  • The words are stamped with black ink on Basic White and cut out with a Rectangle Stitched Die.  After I sponged the edges with Tahitian Tide ink, I popped this piece up with dimensionals.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

 Paradise Palms Bundle &
On the Horizon

I didn't use to pay much attention to the samples in the SU catalogs, and that was a big mistake.  Now I take time to scour the catalog for cards to make for my classes, my blog, and cards to mail.
I copied this card, or in my world, I CASEd it, (Copy And Share Everything).  I did add an Evening Evergreen base, and that's about all I changed.  You can find this card on Page 23 of the 2022-23 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog.
I was proud to offer this gem at our last Shoe Box Swap.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Evening Evergreen scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Crumb Cake layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The lattice strip on the Crumb Cake is made with Evening Evergreen cardstock and a Palms Die.  I applied it with Multipurpose Liquid glue.
  • The Very Vanilla is 5 x 3 3/4.
    • I began by punching a 3/4" circle to use as a mask for the sun.  I used a Blending Brush and Daffodil Delight ink and sponged over the mask.
    • I stamped the "sand" with Crumb Cake, and the grass with Soft Succulent ink.
    • I stamped the tree trunks and the leaves with Crumb Cake.
    • I cut out two trees with Very Vanilla cardstock, and sponged the trunks with Crumb Cake and the treetops with Soft Succulent.  I used Foam Adhesive Strips to pop up the trunks, and Dimensionals to pop up the tree tops.
  • The words, from On the Horizon, (retiring June 30, 2022), are stamped with Evening Evergreen ink on a 2 x 1 1/2 piece of Very Vanilla, and I popped this piece up with dimensionals.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

Spiral Dye, Go To Greetings, & Flowing Flowers

The Spiral Dye stamp is such a fun set with lots of possibilities.  Sponge different colors, stamp different colors, and more.  I used the Embossed Resist Technique for these cards, and I was excited to share these with all my ladies when they attended my June 2022 classes.

Recipe:
  • The bases are 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 pieces of Garden Green scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Highland Heather layers are 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Basic White layers are 5 x 3 3/4 and are stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.
  • Both of these cards are sponged using Blending Brushes and Highland Heather, Daffodil Delight and Garden Green inks, and the excess inks is wiped off with a tissue.
  • Top card:
    • I stamped the words from the Go To Greetings set with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Basic White.  I cut this out with one of the Tailor Made Tags, and popped it up with dimensionals.  I threaded the retired Gorgeous Grape ribbon thru the hole and tied it one time.
  • The second card:
    • I wrapped some Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon around the top two layers before I adhered them to the Garden Green base.  I stamped the words from the Flowing Flowers set with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Basic White.  I cut this out with one of the Rectangle Stitched dies, and popped it up with dimensionals.  I added a couple of Pastel Pearls.   (I am so sad because SU is retiring the Flowing Flowers set on June 30, 2022.  If you think you would like this set, it's better to get it sooner than later.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

  Ranunculus Romance
for my June 2022 Classes

I am offering this beautiful card at both of my June 7 and 11, 2022 classes, and I am so excited to share. I actually CASEd this card from Melva Peters, and you can see her card & video Here, post of 1/11/2022.
So, for some reason, before class I wanted to find what ranunculus meant, and here is what I found out:
ra·nun·cu·lus:
ranunculus (noun) · ranunculi (plural noun) ranunculuses (plural noun)
  1. a temperate plant of a genus that includes the buttercups and water crowfoots, typically having yellow or white bowl-shaped flowers and lobed or toothed leaves.  The flowers are all different colors, and absolutely beautiful.
  2. Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Crumb Cake scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Blushing Bride layer is 5 1/4 x 4, is sponged with Crumb Cake ink.
  • The Very Vanilla layer is 5 1/4 x 3 3/4.
    • First, I tore off an edge on the long side and sponged it with the Crumb Cake ink, then I sponged the other three sides.
    • I used a torn piece of cardstock to sponge the Very Vanilla layer in different places on the front. (see Melva's video for this step, she is awesome.)
    • I stamped the flower with Blackberry Bliss ink on a scrap of Very Vanilla and cut it out with a Ranunculus Die.  Set it aside.
    • I randomly stamped the images on my card front with Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride and the flower with Blackberry Bliss ink.
  • I adhered the card front to the Blushing Bride and wrapped some Crumb Cake Baker's Twine, (from the Baker's Twine Essential Pack), around these two pieces three times, then adhered all to the card base.
  • I adhered the cut-out flower over my stamped flower with Dimensionals.
  • The words are stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink on a scrap of Blushing Bride, and cut out with one of the Meadow Dies.  The edges are sponged with Crumb Cake ink, and popped up with Dimensionals.
  • I added three Pastel Pearls.
  • All done, and remember to decorate your envelope.
