Heart Happiness
for my January 2018 Classes
My wonderful assistant, Michelle Wallace and I, have been busy planning for my January 2018 Creative Therapy and Card Making classes, and this is one of the six cards I will offer.
Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2  piece of Rich Razzleberry, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Pool Party layer is 5 1/4 x 4, and is dry embossed with the new Petal Pair embossing folder.
  • The Rich Razzleberry layer under the 5 1/8 x 2 piece of Petal Garden DSP is 5 1/4 x 2 1/8.  The piece of Gold Foil on the left side of these layers is 5 1/4 x 1/2.
  • The heart is cut by combining the "Lovely" heart from the Lovely Words Thinlits Dies, and one of the hearts from the Sweet & Sassy dies, and Gold Foil.  Then a second heart was cut from the Sweet & Sassy dies, this time out of the Sweet Sugar Plum cardstock.
  • The small Rich Razzleberry heart and the Gold Foil heart are also cut out with the Sweet & Sassy Dies.
  • The little flower is from the Heart Happiness set (in the Occasions Mini, available January 3, 2018) and stamped with Sweet Sugarplum ink on the Sweet Sugarplum heart.
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.
  • All done!!!

Ribbon of Courage, Timeless Textures and Support Ribbon Framelits
I used the Ribbon of Courage stamp set and the coordinating Support Ribbon Framelits dies for these two cards.  I made my own background design with one of the stamps from the Timeless Textures stamp set, and I cut the letters out with my new Large Letter Framelits dies.😊

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2  piece of Sahara Sand, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Blushing Bride layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Thick Whisper White layer, on which I stamped the flower from Timeless Texture in Blushing Bride ink is 5 x 3 3/4.
  • After I stamped my background on the Thick Whisper White I cut out the letters with my Big Shot and the Large Letter dies.  So easy.
  • For the card at the very top of this post, I stamped a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock with the stamp from Ribbon of Courage, and used my big Shot and the die from the Support Ribbon Framelits to cut it out.
  • For the second card on this post, I stamped a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock with the flower from Timeless Textures and used my Big Shot and the die from the Support Ribbon Framelits to cut it out.
  • I used the Foam Adhesive Strips from SU to give my letters  and ribbon height on my card.
  • I used Rose Red ink to stamp my words.
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.
  • All done!!!
If you have any questions, please let me know.

Many glorious wishes for a wonderful Christmas to you and yours

I received many beautiful Christmas cards this year, and the one you see at the very top of this post was from my friend, Gail Cobb, who, by the way, is a very talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.  She used the Christmas Pines stamp set and the Winter Wonderland Specialty paper for her card, and of course I had to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) it.  I used the Year of Cheer DSP, and it is in the 2017-18 Holiday Catalog, which will go away on January 2, 2018.  If you do not have any Year of Cheer DSP, well, I know where you can get it!!!

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2  piece of Thick Whisper White, scored at 4 1/4, and the smaller white piece is 4 1/4 x 3.
  • The Basic Black layer is 5 3/8 x 4 1/8, and the smaller black piece (under the focal point) is 4 3/8 x 3 1/8.
  • The Silver foil layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The DSP from Year of Cheer is 4 7/8 x 3 3/4.
  • The branches from Christmas Pines and the word Noel is stamped with Tuxedo Memento Black ink.  Then I cleaned the stamps with my Stampin' Scrub, and Stampin' Mist.  Next I stamped the branch with Versamark over the black and slightly offset the stamp.  I covered my Versamarked branch with Silver embossing powder for the card on the left, and Copper embossing powder for the card on the right and used my heat tool to melt the embossing powder.  Stunning.  Thank you Gail for sharing your idea.
  • All the layers are adhered with Tombow Liquid glue (more wiggle room), except for the focal point, which is adhered with SU dimensionals (the best dimensionals around), just sayin'.
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.
  • All done!!!
If you have any questions, please let me know.

Carols of Christmas and Night in Bethlehem
I came across a card I made eons ago, and low and behold, I had two unfinished kits in the packet with the finished card. Imagine that!!!  So, I used my crafting skills and created this card.
You will see lots of other cards at my January 9, January 11, and January 13, 2018 Creative Therapy card classes, just not this one.  Of course not, Christmas will be over.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2  piece of Old Olive, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Crumb Cake layer is 5 1/4 x 4, stamped with Chocolate Chip ink, then dry embossed with the Garden Trellis Embossing Folder.
  • The 5 x 1 3/4 piece of Real Red is under the 4 7/8 x 1 5/8 piece of Be Merry DSP.
  • I glued the Real Red/DSP combination to the embossed Crumb Cake layer, wrapped a piece of Gold Natural Trim around the front of these pieces.  Then I used Tombow Liquid glue to adhere this combo to my card base.
  • The Old Olive piece under the Whisper White on which the words are stamped is 2 1/2 x 3 1/8, and the Whisper White piece on which the words are stamped is 2 3/8 x 3.  The words are stamped with Chocolate Chip ink.  The star is stamped with Daffodil Delight ink.
  • I made a bow and used a couple of glue dots to adhere it to the card front.
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.
  • All done!!!

Falling Flowers, Ribbon of Courage & Move Me Thinlits Dies
I combined the Falling Flowers stamp set with the Move Me Thinlits Dies for this simple and elegant card. This card is  one of my offerings at all of my January 9, January 11, and January 13, 2018 Creative Therapy card classes.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2  piece of Berry Burst or Crushed Curry, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Basic Black layer is 5 1/4 x 4 1/4.
  • The Color Theory DSP layer is 5 x 3 3/4.
  • The baby butterflies are stamped with the coordinating ink and cut out with the Move Me Thinlits Dies in either Berry Burst or Crushed Curry, and Basic Black cardstock.  I attached the butterflies to the card with Glue Dots.
  • The words are from Ribbon of Courage and the image is from Falling Flowers and both are stamped with Tuxedo Memento ink.
  • Basic Pearls are added to the butterflies.
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.
  • All done!!!

Flurry of Wishes for my December 16, 2017 class
OK, so here's the deal-I had planned to offer this card at all of my  December 5, December 7, and December 9, 2017 Creative Therapy card classes.  Didn't happen for the ladies who came on December 5,😔.  I am so sorry.  Then it snowed/rained/sleeted, and I postponed my December 9th class to December 16, and I am offering this beautiful Christmas card at class this Saturday.  I'm excited.

 Recipe:
  • The base is a 8 1/2 x 5 1/2  piece of Night of Navy, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Silver Foil layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Whisper White layer is 5 x 3 3/4, and dry embossed with either the Softly Falling or Winter Wonder embossing folder.  I stamped my words with Night of Navy ink before I embossed my cardstock.
  • The snowflake is stamped with Night of Navy ink on Whisper White cardstock and punched out with the Flower Medallion punch.  (On the clearance rack for $10.80😊), and backed with a piece of Silver Foil, also punched with the Flower Medallion punch.
  • The 3/8" Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon is wrapped around the front under the medallions.
  • The retired embellishments in the center of the medallions are from SU.
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.
  • All done!!!
