Sheltering Tree and Six Sayings for my November 2015 Classes

I combined Sheltering Tree and a stamp from the hostess set, Six Sayings, to make this beautiful card.  I am offering this at all of my November 3, November 5, and November 7, 2015 classes.

I stamped the tree trunk with Soft Suede, and the leaves with Cajun Craze, and I embossed the word Thankful with gold embossing powder.   I used the new gold cord over my Soft Suede and Cherry Cobbler card stock.

Here are the dimensions of the card stock for this card:
Cherry Cobbler base is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, folded at 4 1/4
Soft Suede layer is 5 1/4 x 4
Cherry Cobbler layer for the tree is 3 x 3 3/4
Very Vanilla layer for the tree is 2 3/4 x 3 1/2
Cherry Cobbler layer for the word Thankful is 1 1/2 x 3 3/4
Very Vanilla layer for the word Thankful is 1 1/4 x 3 1/2

Best Thoughts by Kitty Collier

Best Thoughts is a fantastic set of 4 stamps, and a super value for just $10.00 for clear mount.  This set is available to hostesses with an order of $150.00 or more, and you can find it on page 180 of SU's 2015-16 Catalog.  My friend, Kitty Collier, made this beautiful card, and I really like how it showcases the Pelagormian Geranium.

Kitty used sponge daubers to color the Color Me Irresistibly DSP. This DSP is so fantastic because with a sponge or daubers, you can make the paper any color you want.  You would have thought, right?

Guest Designer, Connie Juengel, and Delicate Ornament Thinlits Dies

This beautiful, Christmas shaker card was designed by Connie Juengel and I made it at my bi-monthly shoe-box swap. I used SU's window sheets and their new Delicate Ornament Thinlits Dies.  The dies can be found on page 15 of SU's 2015-16 Holiday Mini, and are available to purchase until January 4, 2016.

Connie used the retired set, Ornamental Pine, for the branches, however; you could easily substitute the branches from Winter Wishes (page 13 of SU's 2015-16 Holiday Mini), and the words were from the retired stamp set, Joyful Christmas, and you could easily substitute Versatile Christmas (page 26 of SU's 2015-16 Holiday Mini).

Vintage Leaves and Acorny Thank You

I have many stamp sets of leaves.  Big leaves and little leaves alike, and so I didn't think I ought to buy another stamp set of leaves, but I just couldn't pass up this gorgeous set.  There are so many examples all over the internet of cards made using Vintage Leaves and Acorny Thank You, so much inspiration and ideas, what's a girl to do?   Speaking of the internet, I CASED this one from Connie Babbert, and you can see her card Here, post of August 29, 2015. This is one of the cards I am offering at my October 6, October 8, and October 10, Paper Therapy classes.

The 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 base of Delightful Dijon is scored at 5 1/2
The layer of Very Vanilla is 5 1/4 x 4
The piece of 5 1/4 x 4 DSP from Bohemian paper, cut diagionally.

If you would like to place an order, head on over to my Stampin' Up! website,  www.lindafisher.stampinup.net, and click on the "shop now" tab, or click on the 2015-16 Catalog right here on my blog.

Wonderland and Winter Wonderland Speciality Designer Series Paper

OK, so here's the deal-I didn't think I needed another stamp set of trees, of course not, I already have Lovely as a Tree, right?  Well, I am so glad I bought Wonderland, because it a beautiful set, not just for Christmas either, and a bargain at only $17.00 for clear mount. When I combined the set with SU's Winter Wonderland Speciality DSP, the results are strikingly awesome, at least, I think so.  This is one of the cards I am offering at my October 6, October 8, and October 10, 2015 Paper Therapy classes.

The 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 base of SU's new thick weight Whisper White card stock is scored at 2 and 6.
I then layered Basic Black, and the Wonderland Speciality DSP on the 2" and 2 1/2" front pieces.
I then used a 2 3/8 x 4 1/8 piece of Whisper White (regular weight) card stock to stamp the trees with Versa Mark and heat embossed them SU's gold embossing powder.
I layered the embossed trees on a piece of 2 1/2 x 4 1/4 piece of Gold Foil paper, and then layered them both on a piece of 2 5/8 x 4 5/8 Basic Black.
I used Tombow to adhere the layers of trees to the 2" front side of the card.
For the inside, I glued a 3 3/4 x 5 1/4 piece of  Basic Black card stock to the middle, and a piece 3 1/4 x 5 of Whisper White on top of that.
I stamped the sentiment on the inside with Tuxedo Memento black ink.
I made a bow with SU 1/8" Gold ribbon, and that's it.

I hold adult classes each month.  If you live near my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC 27253 and would like to attend any of my classes, please let me know.  For details, see my class schedule right here on my blog, or on my SU website found Here.
