The Designer Tin of Cards Stamp Set and Layering Circles Framelits Dies 

 Card Inside

I bought the The Designer Tin of Cards stamp set along with the coordinating Project Kit, finished the project kit, and I still find many ways to use the stamp set.  The set has 33 stamps for just $26.00, and covers more than 11 occasions.  What a deal, right?  
I used a sketch from Lyssa Zwolanek's blog, Song of My Heart, and you can find her blog Here.

Recipe:

• Cut and fold in half your 4 1/4 x 11 base of Early Espresso, and set aside.
• Cut three 1 1/2 x 4 pieces of Festive Birthday DSP at a diagonal, and glue to a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock.  Wrap a piece of Early Espresso ribbon (retired, and I'm sorry), around the front of the Pumpkin Pie/DSP and glue it to the back. Glue this combo to the card base.
• Cut a shorter piece of the ribbon, thread it through the piece that is wrapped around the front of the card, and tie a knot.  By-the-way, I save ribbon by doing it this way.  Great idea, huh?
• I stamped the words with Early Espresso ink and cut it out with the Layering Circles Framelits Dies, as well as a Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry circle and an Early Espresso scalloped circle.  Glue all together and pop up with dimensionals.
• All done, results, fantastic birthday card.

One Big Meaning and a Floral Affection Embossing Folder

The One Big Meaning stamp set has seven fantastic stamps, and seven ways to say thank you, and one can never have enough Thank You cards, can we?  I also used one of the two embossing folders from the Floral Affection set.  Gives the card a little extra dimension, don't you think? 

Recipe:

• Cut and fold in half your 4 1/4 x 11 base of Cucumber Crush, and set aside.
• Glue a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Tangerine Tango that has been dry embossed with one of the Floral Affection's embossing folders to a 5 1/4 x 4" piece of Whisper White.
• Glue a 4 1/2 x 1 3/4 piece of Fruit Stand DSP to a 4 3/4 x 2 piece of Daffodil Delight card stock, then glue this combination to the Tangerine Tango/Whisper White piece.
• Wrap a piece of 5/8" Organza Ribbon around this combination, then glue all to the Cucumber Crush base.
• Cut a shorter piece of the Organza Ribbon, thread it thru the piece that is wrapped around the front of the card, and tie a soft knot. 
• Cut a scalloped circle with a piece of Basic Black card stock using the Layering Circle Framelits Dies. Stamp your words using Tuxedo Memento Black ink on Whisper White card stock.  Cut this out, also using one of the Layering Circle Framelits dies. Glue the word piece to the black scalloped piece, and pop this combination up with dimensionals.  
•  All done, results, beautiful card.

Come One, Come All, to my February 2017 Paper Therapy and Card-Making classes

Please join me and have fun, relax, fellowship with others who have the same interest, by making some beautiful greeting cards.  

I design and prepare kits for five/six different cards, and you decide which ones you would like to make.  It's that easy.  I supply everything, just bring yourself, and get set to have fun.

My classes are for men and women of all ages who enjoy crafting. This class will teach you how to create beautiful hand crafted greeting cards with personal instruction, guidance and inspiration. You’ll have access to all the latest card making tools, embellishments and supplies. The joy of giving is priceless.

Schedule is as follows:
TUESDAY, the 7th, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.. and again on

THURSDAY, the 9th, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and again on
SATURDAY, the 11th,  9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. 

The cost of the class is just: $2.50 per card, no additional class fee, and the fun and fellowship is free.

Fox Builder Punch, and Number of Years

 for a fun anniversary card.

My friend and fellow stamper, Sheila White, is an expert when it comes to punch art, and she's mighty good at it.  Why, she can stand for hours and punch out legs, bodies, heads, eyes, ears, noses, hearts, and anything else you might need to make a punch art animal come to life.

Sheila offered this card as part of our Shoe-Box-Swap (SBS).  It was so much fun to watch these little turtles develop their own personalities, one piece of card stock at a time. (no, I really haven't lost my mind, I think punch art is unique, that's all!!!)

Recipe:

• The base is a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of Real Red scored at 4 1/4.
• Next is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Whisper White.  
• Next are two 5 1/4 x 1 1/2 pieces of Dapper Denim, which I tore by hand, and sponged with Dapper Denim ink.  
• The rocks are made from Soft Suede card stock. Two circles were made with a 1 3/4" circle punch, and I tore the edges, crumpled and flattened each piece, then sponged the edges with Soft Suede ink.  
• The backs of the turtles were made by cutting off the ears of the Fox Builder's face. I used the eraser part of a pencil, dabbed it in Pear Pizzazz or Garden Green ink to put dots on my turtles backs. 
• I glued the backs to their bodies, also made with the Fox Builder's face.  I used the larger circle from the Owl punch for their eyes, and used a black marker to draw their mouths. (If you don't have the Owl Builder Punch, you could use a 1/2" circle punch).
• The hearts are from a couple of retired SU punches.  
• The words are stamped with Real Red ink.

Lift Me Up, and Up & Away Thinlits for my February, 2017 classes

I am offering this hot-air balloon card at all of my February 7, February 9, and February 11, 2017 classes. I saw it on Mary Brown's blog, Stamper Camper, and you can see her card Here, post of December 6, 2016. 
This wonderful set, Lift Me Up, and the coordinating thinlits, Up & Away, and are so much fun to use.  The set includes words for at least seven occasions, and it is well worth the bundle price. Buy the bundle before March 31, 2017 and pick any item from the Sale-a-Bration catalog for FREE.  What can be better than free, right?

Recipe:

• The base is a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of Pool Party, scored at 5 1/2.  
• Next the Rich Razzleberry is 5 1/4 x 4.
• Next is a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Pool Party, dry embossed with the Seaside embossing folder.
• The words are stamped with Rich Razzleberry ink on a 1 x 2 3/4 piece of Whisper White, and the background piece is 1 1/8 x 2 7/8 piece of Rich Razzleberry.  
• The hot air balloon is cut out with Whisper White, and backed with Rich Razzleberry, Sweet Sugarplum, and Pool Party. The basket is backed with Crumb Cake.
• The clouds are cut out with Whisper White, and sponged with Smoky Slate ink.  The bow is made with the 3/8" Metallic Ribbon (free with a purchase of $50.00 till March 31, 2017).

Endless Birthday Wishes, and Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits for my February, 2017 classes

I am offering this cute birthday card at all of my February 7, February 9, and February 11, 2017 classes. I saw this on Ann Clemmer's blog, Stamper Dog, and you can see her card Here, post of June, 2014.  
The stamp set costs just $16.00 and you get 27 stamps. What a deal, right? 
There are a gazillion combination of words, and the birthday cake is so much fun to color. If you live near me in Graham, NC, I would love to have you come and make one, or two, or three of your own.
Recipe:

• The base is a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of Melon Mambo, scored at 5 1/2.  I rounded all 4 corners.
• Next the Crushed Curry is 5 x 3 3/4.
• Next is a 4 7/8 x 3 5/8 piece of Basic Black.  
• Next is a 4 3/4 x 3 1/2 piece of Whisper White.
• I stamped the words in Melon Mambo, and Basic Black. The dots are stamped in Crushed Curry.  
• The Crushed Curry rectangle in the middle is 2 1/8 x 2 1/4.  
• The Basic Black rectangle is 2 x 2 1/8.
• The Whisper White rectangle is 1 7/8 x 2.
• I stamped the cake with Basic Black Archival ink, and colored it with Crushed Curry, Pacific Point and Melon Mambo markers.  
• The bow behind the cake is cut using Melon Mambo card stock and the Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits Dies. They are so much fun.  Thought I would add that in.
• That's it, all done.

Sealed with Love and Love Notes Framelits Dies for my January, 2017 classes

I am offering this fun fold Valentine card at all of my January 2017 classes.  I enjoyed creating this loving card with my assistant, Michelle Wallace, and we both were very pleased with the results.  
If you live near my home in Graham, NC, you too can come and make this card for your favorite valentine.

Recipe:

• The base is a 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 piece of Basic Black, scored at 5 1/2.
• Next is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Whisper White.  I stamped around the edges with Real Red ink.
• Next is a 3 1/4 x 8 1/2 piece of Basic Black, scored at 4 1/4.  I cut one edge with a framelit from the Love Notes Dies.  
• I glued a 3 x 4 piece of Whisper White to the inside, and stamped Happy Valentine's Day with Real Red ink, and I added little lips, too.
• A 3 x 3 1/4 piece of DSP from the Sending Love paper stack is glued to the front of the 3 1/4 x 8 1/2 black.  I glued this piece to the already stamped 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Whisper White.
• The front flap of the 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 piece of Basic Black is covered with a 4 x 2 1/2 piece of Real Red card stock, embossed with the Happy Heart E.F.
• I cut out 4 Real Red hearts with the Big Shot and the Love Notes Framelits Dies and glued them to the cut out on the card front with glue dots.
• I cut out three circles with the Layering Framelits Dies, one in Basic Black, one in Real Red, and one on Whisper White.  This combo is mounted on the card front with dimensionals.
