Ornament Punched Flower using the Linking Technique

Laura Richey demonstrated this technique at the Hamilton Regional in 2010.  The flower in the top card is closed and when you pull on the butterfly, the perfect placement of the dimensionals "links" each ornament punched flower together (bottom card).  I am so sorry I do not have any written  instructions, and if I figure out how to make a video, I will post it on my blog.

Recipe:  Stamps:  Bring on the Cake;  Paper:  Peach Parfait, Blushing Bride, Poppy Parade, Concord Crush, Pear Pizzazz, Confetti White cardstock, 2010-12 Incolors dsp;  Ink:  Concord Crush;  Accessories:  Big Shot, Holiday Windows Magnetic Movers & Shapers, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Ornament Punch, Stamp-a-ma-jig, lots of dimensionals.

Hope you enjoyed this post, and thank you for stopping by.
Have a great day,

Almost Stipple Blossom

Stampin' Up! has a beautiful new stamp set on page 78 in the 2012-13 catalog called "Stipple Blossoms".  It's a two-step stamp set, so quick and easy, you just won't believe how fast you can put a card together with this technique.  I wanted to use it for my card class on May 29, June 7, and June 9, and couldn't buy it yet, so I substituted with an oldie, but a goodie, Wild Rose.
If you would like to come to one of my classes, and live in or near Graham, NC, please let me know you would like to attend.  It's a lot of fun.
Recipe:  Stamps:  Wild Rose, Bring on the Cake (my favorite birthday word stamp set);  Paper:  Pink Pirouette, Basic Black, Whisper White cardstock;  Ink:  Pink Pirouette, Primrose Petals, Old Olive, Certainly Celery, and Basic Black classic ink;  Accessories:  Basic Black 1/4" gg ribbon, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Regal Brads, Paper Piercer and mat pack, dimensionals.
Hope you have enjoyed this post.
Have a great day and thank you for stopping by,

Summer Smooches Purse

There are lots and lots of ways to use SU's fabrics, and this purse is just one example.  I used Summer Smooches fabric because it is so cheerful and perfect for the spring and summer.  The pattern for the bag is from Nellie's Needle and it's called The Maggie Bag designed by Karen Bennett.  The pattern has three size options, and this is the medium bag.  SU's quality cotton fabrics worked really well for this purse, and the pattern was not hard to follow.
I'm excited to start on another bag, and on June 1st, 2012 when I can order from the new catalog, I will be purchasing some of the newest fabrics for my second purse.
Hope you have enjoyed this post.  Thank you for stopping by and have a great day,
Linda

Bright Blossoms & Summer Smooches

As a demonstrator, we have the opportunity to pre-buy some of the 2012-13 catalog stamp sets and products, and I am so excited.  In addition, SU Demonstrators got to preview the new catty, on-line, and it's awesome.  I think I'm going to have to have everything.
I saw this darling card on Mary Fish's blog, and I quickly pulled out my new Bright Blossoms stamp set and my new Summer Smooches designer series paper (dsp).  They coordinate well, don't you think?  Not only do they coordinate well, this set and paper is a lot of fun to use, so bright and cheery.
This is one of the cards I'm offering at my "New Stamps, Paper and Colors" class coming up soon.  If you live in or near Graham, NC, please give me a shout and plan to attend.  Would love to have you.
Recipe:  Stamps:  Bright Blossoms, Petite Pairs (for words);  Paper:  Real Red, Whisper White, Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight cardstock and Summer Smooches dsp;  Ink:   Basic Black, Real Red, Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise, & Daffodil Delight classic ink;  Accessories:  Scalloped Edge, 1 3/8" Square,  & 1 3/8" Scalloped Edge punches, Jewels, dimensionals.
