Cookie Cutter Halloween, Ghoulish Greetings and Spooky Fun are Trick or Treating buddies!

I designed this card after seeing a card on Brian King's blog, Stamp with Brian.  You can see his card Here, post of August 12, 2016.  I usually am not a super big fan of Halloween, but when I saw the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set in the 2016 Holiday Mini, I couldn't resist.
I offered this fun card at all of my September 6th, September 8th, and September 10th, 2016 classes.
Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Basic Gray scored at 4 1/4.
  • The next layer is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Pumpkin Pie.
  • Next is a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Halloween Night DSP.
  • The mummy and skeleton are on a 2 1/4 x 4 1/4 piece of Pumpkin Pie, that was stamped with an image from the Ghoulish Grunge stamp set with Tuxedo Memento black ink.
  • The base under this piece is a 2 1/2 x 4 1/2 piece of Basic Black.
  • The little cookie cutter guys are stamped with Basic Gray on Whisper White and punched out with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.
  • The little treat bags from the Cookie Cutter Halloween set are stamped with Basic Gray on Whisper White and colored with a Pumpkin Pie marker and cut out with paper snips.
  • The words are from Spooky Fun are stamped with Tuxedo Memento black ink on Whisper White and the base under the words is a piece of the new Pumpkin Pie Glitter paper.
  • Remember to decorate your envelope, can't leave the house naked, right?

Greetings from Santa, Candy Cane Christmas, and Detailed Santa Thinlits Dies

The stamp sets, paper and accessories in the 2016-17 Stampin' Up! catalog are absolutely awesome.  When I saw the Detailed Santa Thinlits Dies, I just knew I had to have them.  It took no time at all to cut the Santa, and only a few extra minutes or so to cut the three colors of glimmer paper to give my Santa that extra bling.
I used a Two-way glue pen and Dazzling Diamonds on his beard, and the snowflakes are some retired stash I have had for a very long, long time.
Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Crumb Cake, score at 4 1/4.
  • The next layer is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Real Red.
  • Next is a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Candy Cane Lane DSP.
  • The detailed Santa is cut with a 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 piece of Whisper White, and the Whisper White base under the Santa is the same size.
  • To get the hat and glasses, I put the die in my Big Shot and cut each piece separately.
  • I stamped his list with Early Espresso ink on Whisper White card stock, and cut it out by hand.
  • The words were stamped with Real Red ink from Greetings from Santa.
  • The peppermint candies are from Candy Cane Christmas.
  • Remember to decorate your envelope, can't leave the house naked, right?
If you have any questions, let me know.

Rose Wonder and Lovely Lace Embossing Folder

I wanted to offer a wedding card for my September 6th, September 8th, and September 10th, 2016 classes, and this is what I came up with.  I didn't want anything too difficult, and I wanted something that says "Wishing You the Best", or something similar.  I am so pleased with the finished card.
Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Mint Macaron scored at 4 1/4.
  • The next layer is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Whisper White, dry embossed with the Lovely Lace folder.
  • Next is a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of 2015-17 In-Color DSP, (Mint Macaron), which I cut with a Botanical Builder Framelit Die.
  • I used the Big Shot and the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies to cut the flowers with Shimmery White card stock.
  • The words from Rose Wonder are stamped with Basic Gray ink on Whisper White card stock and punched out with a 2" circle punch.  The backing behind the word circle is cut with Basic Gray card stock with a circle from the Layering Circles Framelits.
  • Remember to decorate your envelope, can't leave the house naked, right?

Acorny Thank You, Awesomely Artistic, and Suite Seasons

Acorny Thank You is a set in the 2016-17 SU Annual Catalog, (page 36), that I tend to overlook.  I saw this design on Wendy Ellard's Pinterest page, and added an extra layer and used one of the stamps from Suite Seasons.  I am offering this Acorn card in all of my September 6, September 8, and September 10, 2016 classes.
Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Garden Green scored at 4 1/4.
  • The next layer is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Soft Sky.
  • Next is a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Whisper White.
  • The background is stamped with Soft Sky ink and Awesomely Artistic.
  • The leaves are stamped with Garden Green ink and the leaves from Awesomely Artistic.  I also cut out leaves from the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies with Garden Green card stock.
  • The acorns were stamped with Early Espresso and Soft Sky ink, and punched out with the Acorn Builder Punch, and popped up with dimensionals.
  • I used some, now retired, Early Espresso bakers twine to make the bows on the acorns.
  • I stamped with words from Suite Seasons (in the 2016-17 Holiday Mini), with Early Espresso ink.
  • Remember to decorate your envelope, can't leave the house naked, right?
