Beautiful You
I am very excited to share a card designed by my sweet friend, and one of my wonderful downline, Wendie Jamison.  Wendie offered this lovely card at our last Shoe Box Swap, (SBS).  Everyone at our swap had the opportunity to make one of Wendie's card, and the best part, everything we do at our SBS is absolutely free.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2  piece of Basic Black, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Bermuda Bay layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Whisper White layer is 5 x 3 3/4.
  • The Basic Black rectangle layer is 4 1/8 x 2 1/8, and the Whisper White rectangle layer is 4 x 2.
  • The raindrops are stamped with Smoky Slate ink.  The pretty lady and words are stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, then she is colored with Bermuda Bay Blends markers.
  • To achieve the almost 3-D effect, use temporary adhesive to adhere the white rectangle to the 5 x 3 3/4 piece of white.  Stamp your lady, then replace the white rectangle with your black rectangle, and adhere the stamped image piece over your black with snail adhesive. Clear as mud, right?
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.
  • All done!!!
If you have any questions about this card, or the technique, please let me know.

Picture Perfect Birthday and Labels to Love
I offered this fun birthday card at all of my February 2018 classes.  You can see Jan Musselman's card on her blog Here, post of January 16, 2018.  I did add two layers of Basic Black.  (Of course I did, right?)

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2  piece of Bermuda Bay, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Basic Black layer is 5 x 3 1/2, and glued to the Bermuda Bay layer with snail adhesive.
  • The Berry Burst layer is 4 7/8 x 3 3/8.
  • The next smaller Basic Black layer is 4 3/4 x 3 1/4, and is glued to the Berry Burst layer with snail adhesive.
  • The 3 x 1 1/2 and 3 x 3 pieces of DSP are adhered to the smaller piece of the Basic Black layer.  Then I glued this combination to the Berry Burst/Basic Black layers.
  • The 2 5/8" Berry Burst Stitched Shape Framelits square is glued to the DSP with snail adhesive.
  • I wrapped a piece of the Berry Burst ribbon over the card front and around the back of this combination, then glued all to the larger Basic Black layer.  I then slipped another piece of ribbon under the existing ribbon and tied a knot.
  • I stamped three party blowout favors in Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, Bermuda Bay and Flirty Flamingo ink, and cut them out with my wonderful SU Paper Snips.
  • I stamped the label, from the Labels to Love stamp set (carried over from the 2017 Holiday Mini catalog), with Berry Burst ink on Whisper White card stock, and punched it out with Everyday Label Punch (also carried over from the Holiday Mini catalog).  Next I stamped my words in Tuxedo Memento Black ink. I glued two stamped party favors behind the label, and one in front with snail adhesive, and up the label with dimensionals.
  • This card is way easier than it looks, honest!!
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.
  • All done!!!

This is the card that Retha Fulp offered at our last Shoe Box Swap  (SBS) and I am excited to share it with you.  She is so creative, glad that she participates in our Bi-Monthly SBS events, attends my Creative Therapy classes, and is a member of my Hostess Club😊.

  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2  piece of Tranquil Tide scored at 4 1/4.

  • Double strands of Linen Thread are tied and looped around the back of the top two layers then all are glued to the card base.
  • The three Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies are adhered together with snail adhesive and popped up with dimensionals.

At Home with You and
Hello Friend
Another fun offering for my array of six cards from which to choose at all of my February 2018 classes.  I like that the door opens to reveal a special message.
The At Home with You set is an incredible bargain.  It has 25 photopolymer stamps, 13 of which are words for many occasions like:  Christmas, Birthday, Congratulations, Thank You, Grateful, New Home, and seven more.  All for just $26.00.  Of course, the At Home Framelits Dies completes the set, for sure. Buy the stamp set and dies as a bundle and save 10%.
Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2  piece of Soft Sky scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Whisper White layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The door is stamped with Early Espresso ink on a 4 x 2 1/4 piece of Wild Wasabi cardstock and cut from the At Home Framelits Dies.  The message inside the door is also stamped with Early Espresso classic ink, (the door actually opens).😊
  • The 3 x 1 1/2 piece of Crumb Cake is dry embossed with the Pinewood Planks folder.
  • The flower pots are stamped with Early Espresso ink on Whisper White cardstock and colored with a Powder Pink, Lemon Lime Twist, and an Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker, and cut out with the At Home Framelits Dies. They are popped up with dimensionals.
  • The Hello is from Hello Friend and stamped directly on the Whisper White with Early Espresso ink.
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.
  • All done!!!

Flourishing Phrases
and Petal Palette
I like to offer a variety of cards at my Creative Therapy card classes, and so I decided on this beautiful card.  It uses both new and not so new SU products, and oh so easy.
It will be one of the array of six card from which to choose at all of my February 2018 classes.
Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2  piece of Always Artichoke, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Pink Pirouette layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Very Vanilla layer is 5 x 3 3/4 and is dry embossed with the one of the Petal Pair embossing folders.
  • The background flowers are from the Petal Palette stamp set and stamped with Pink Pirouette classic ink.
  • The Pink Pirouette cutout design is from the Petals & More Thinlits Dies and glued to the card front with a Fine-Tip Glue Pen.
  • The words from Flourishing Phrases are stamped with Always Artichoke classic ink on a Very Vanilla oval that is cut from the Stitched Framelits dies. The Pink Pirouette oval is cut from the Layering Oval Framelits Dies.  I glued both of these pieces together snail adhesive, then popped them up with dimensionals.
  • The three pearls gave this card "class", don't you think?
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.
  • All done!!!

Vivid Vases, a blast from the past and
Thoughts & Prayers
Thoughts & Prayers is my go-to set for anything caring and sympathy.  I have used the tree for many other cards as well.  Worth the $19.00 for the eight piece stamp set.
The first card on this post was one I offered in class eons ago, and revived the extra kits for one of my January 2018 classes. With the extra kits I had left over this time, I decided to re-purpose the card.  Everything is current on my re-purposed card except the Mint Macaron card stock and ink, and the embossing folders.
Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2  piece of Night of Navy, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Mint Macaron layer is 5 1/4 x 4.  (Soft Sky would have worked too).
  • The Daffodil Delight layer is 4 x 3 1/2 and is dry embossed with the Falling Petals embossing folder.
  • The smaller Night of Navy layer is 3 1/2 x 3 and the Whisper White piece on which I stamped my tree and words is 3 1/4 x 2 3/4.
  • The tree is stamped with Mint Macaron ink, and the words are stamped with Night of Navy ink.
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.
  • All done!!!
