Sketched Birthday Thinlit card

Preview of coming attractions.  Yes, absolutely, positively, I am already planning classes for 2014, and let me say, I am really excited.  Check out this birthday card made with SU's "flip-it" framelits.   It is not so hard, at all, just takes a little extra time to string your candles.

Recipe to make this card:  Stamps:  Sketched Birthday, Birthday Candles wheel;  Paper:  Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, and Real Red cardstock;  Ink: Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay, Elegant Eggplant, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, and Marina Mist classic ink, and Chocolate Chip, Bermuda Bay and Daffodil Delight markers;  Accessories:  Big Shot, Circle Thinlits,  Bitty Banners Framelits, Linen Thread, Polka Dots and Alphabet Embossing Folders, glue dots and dimensionals.

I hold classes each month, and if you live near my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC 27253 and would like to attend any of my classes, please let me know.  Check out my January 2014 class schedule right here on my blog, or on my SU website found Here.

Have a Holly Jolly Christmas

I owned a red 1967 Volkswagen Beatle back in the day, and I thought of those long-ago days as I was putting this card together.  The little tag on this cutie says merry, and so appropriate, too, don't you think?  I used the Tags 4 You stamp set for the sentiment, which I thought looked great.  It took me a little longer to finish my back-in-the-day card, and it was well worth it, for sure.

I hold classes each month, and my next set of classes are scheduled for January 7, 9, 11 and 15, 2014.  More details to come. If you live near my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC 27253 and would like to attend any of my classes, please let me know.  Get more details right here on my blog, and on my Stampin' Up! website found here.

On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink".  Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.  John 7: 37-38

I would enjoy reading your thoughts about my 1967 Volkswagen back-in-the-day card, and feel free to leave a comment at the end of this post.

Everyday Occasions Card Kit

I enjoy so much when Stampin' Up! offers card kits, especially ones that are neatly packaged and come with everything you need.  Above are 12  of the 20 cards I made using only the supplies in the  Everyday Occasions Card Kit, and a picture of the stamp set that comes in the kit, all available now .  The kit includes:

  • A 7  piece stamp set that you cannot buy anywhere else, except with this kit.  I am not sure, and I would say if the stamp set in this kit was to sell separately in the SU catalog it would easily cost $14.95.  The words in the kit are Congratulations, Love, thank you, Made for you by me, Thinking of you, Happy Birthday, and For you.  Everyday Occasions, right?
  • Twenty pre-printed, and scored pieces of card stock,
  • Envelopes, embellishments, two inkspots, twine, buttons, glitter paper, dollies, tags, and more.
  • Everything you need except snail and scissors to make 20 cards.
  • Best of all, an instruction sheet, and pictures with suggestions for all 20 cards.
  • All for only $29.95.

If you are someone who wants to make cards at home, and who wants to send handmade, one-of-a-kind greeting cards to their friends and family, then this is definitely the way to go.   If you have been wanting to make cards and not sure how to begin, then this kit is for you.

If you would like to purchase this kit, please feel free to contact me directly, or visit my on-line store found  here.  Want it for Christmas, I will gift wrap this tidy little box, and you will be all set.

Look for my January class schedule coming soon, and if you live near my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC 27253 and would like to attend any of my classes, please let me know.  Get more details right here on my blog, and on my Stampin' Up! website found here.

Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body.  Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?  Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.  Are you not  more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life?  Matthew 6:25-27

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

More Merry Messages

My intention was to end up with a quick and easy Christmas card.  Well, it is kinda quick and easy, it's just that I kept adding elements to dress it up, and I am very pleased with the finished product.  The extra few minutes it took me to make this was well worth the results, wouldn't you agree?  I am going to use this same sketch, and change the dsp and words and make it into a birthday card.  Look for the results in the coming days.

Recipe:  Stamps:  More Merry Messages;  Paper:  Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, and Crumb Cake cardstock, Seasons of Style DSP;  Ink: Versamark;  Accessories:  Big Shot, Adorning Accents Edgelits, Adorning Accents embossing folder, Fashionable Hearts Embosslit, White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Old Olive 1/8" ribbon, Crystal Effects, glue dots and dimensionals.

I hold classes each month, and if you live near my home at 555 Williamsdale Road, Graham, NC 27253 and would like to attend any of my classes, please let me know.  Get more details right here on my blog, and on my Stampin' Up! website found here.
