This Little Piggy

This card is the second project we will make at my August 23rd, 2018, Hostess Club meeting.  

I realized that the ladies in my club who own the Barn Door Stamp Set and the Sliding Door dies have not used it yet, so I said to myself, "Hey, let's get out those dies, and use them". 

After I watched a video from Meg Daves, I found it was a breeze using these dies.  You can see her video Here.  

Recipe:

• The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Early Espresso scored at 4 1/4.
• The Poppy Parade layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
• The barn door is stamped with Crumb Cake ink on Crumb Cake cardstock.  
• The Early Espresso piece behind the door is 3 3/4 x 2 1/4, and the Whisper White, on which my images are stamped is 3 5/8 x 2 1/8.
• LuLu, (my sweet piggy) and the words are stamped with Early Espresso ink, and LuLu is colored with Blushing Bride ink and a Blender Pen.  Her kisses are stamped with Poppy Parade ink.
• All Done, and remember to decorate your envelope.

Tropical Chic &

 Tropical Thinlits Dies

Tropical Chic has many possibilities, and this is just one of the many that can be made with this set.  I was pleased to offer this card at my August 7th and August 11th classes. 

Recipe:

• The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Lovely Lipstick scored at 4 1/4.
• The Flirty Flamingo layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
• The Whisper White layer is 5 x 3 3/4, and dry embossed with the Subtle Dynamic Embossing Folder.
• The leaves are stamped with Tranquil Tide ink.
• The flowers are stamped with Flirty Flamingo ink, cut out with the Tropical Thinlits Dies and popped up with mini dimensionals.
  
• Easy, peasy card.
• All Done, and remember to decorate your envelope.

Hand  Delivered and Ready for Christmas

Can you think of anyone who wouldn't want to receive this darling Christmas card?  I offered this card at my August, 2018 Creative Therapy Classes, and it was very popular.  I want to give credit to a SU demonstrator, Janet Elam, for sharing her design.  Quite a talented lady.
Recipe:

• The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock scored at 4 1/4.
• The Real Red layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
• The Whisper White layer is 5 x 3 3/4.
• The tree is stamped with Mossy Meadow ink.
• "Martha's" legs and skirt are stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento, and Real Red inks. 
• The presents are stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on coordinating cardstock colors and Under the Mistletoe DSP, and cut out with my fantastic Paper Snips.  
  
• All Done, and remember to decorate your envelope.

Beautiful Day and Stained Glass Glitter Window technique

This is one of the two cards we will make at our August 23rd Hostess Club Meeting.  Dawn Griffith has a fantastic video to show you how to make this card, and you can see it Here, post of July 31, 2018.  It is way more beautiful in "the natural" than in pictures, I promise.

Recipe:

• The bases are 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 pieces of cardstock scored at 4 1/4.
• The Basic Black layers are 5 1/4 x 4.
• The Whisper White layers are 5 x 3 3/4.
• The strip is 5 x 1 3/4.
• The Basic Black square scallop is cut out with the largest Layering Squares Dies.
• The Whisper White over the Basic Black square scallop is 2 3/4 x 2 3/4.
• The Window Sheet just needs to be large enough on which to stamp your butterfly. 
• The words are from Itty Bitty Greetings. 
• All Done, and remember to decorate your envelope.
