Greatest Part of Christmas and Nature's Roots Dies for my November, 2019 classes

Cindy Lee was the inspiration for this card.  I sometimes don't think "outside the box", well, I hardly ever think "outside the box", so I was happily surprised when I saw where Cindy used the Nature's Roots Dies to make this poinsettia.  You can see Cindy's card Here, post of 11/2/2019.
Recipe:
  • The base is an 11 x 4 1/4 piece of Real Red, scored at 5 1/2.
  • The Crushed Curry layer is 5 3/8 x 4 1/8.
  • The Whisper White layer is 5 1/4 x 4, and Christmas Greetings is stamped with Real Red ink and a stamp from the host set, The Greatest Part of Christmas.  Then it is dry embossed with the Subtle 3D embossing folder.
  • The Poinisettia is made by embossing six large leaves (from the Nature's Roots Dies) with Shaded Spruce cardstock.  Next emboss six large and five small leaves with Real Red cardstock.  I cut all the leaves with my handy-dandy Stampin' Up! Paper Snips. It is much faster than trying to line up the dies with the embossed leaves.
  • Glue the Shaded Spruce leaves to a 1" circle, then glue the large red leaves to a 1" circle, and the five smaller red leaves to a 3/4" circle.
  • The Shaded Spruce circle of leaves is adhered to the card with Multipurpose glue.  The large Real Red layer of leaves is adhered with dimensionals, as well as the smaller circle of red leaves.
  • Three Gold Faceted Gems are in the center of the poinsettia.
  • The Whisper White inside is stamped with Shaded Spruce ink and a stamp from Christmas Gleaming.  A Real Red Blend is used to color the berries, and Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen are used to color the leaves.  The words are stamped with Real Red ink.
  • All done, and remember to decorate your envelope.
