Sealed with Love and Love Notes Framelits Dies for my January, 2017 classes

I am offering this fun fold Valentine card at all of my January 2017 classes.  I enjoyed creating this loving card with my assistant, Michelle Wallace, and we both were very pleased with the results.  
If you live near my home in Graham, NC, you too can come and make this card for your favorite valentine.

Recipe:

• The base is a 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 piece of Basic Black, scored at 5 1/2.
• Next is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Whisper White.  I stamped around the edges with Real Red ink.
• Next is a 3 1/4 x 8 1/2 piece of Basic Black, scored at 4 1/4.  I cut one edge with a framelit from the Love Notes Dies.  
• I glued a 3 x 4 piece of Whisper White to the inside, and stamped Happy Valentine's Day with Real Red ink, and I added little lips, too.
• A 3 x 3 1/4 piece of DSP from the Sending Love paper stack is glued to the front of the 3 1/4 x 8 1/2 black.  I glued this piece to the already stamped 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Whisper White.
• The front flap of the 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 piece of Basic Black is covered with a 4 x 2 1/2 piece of Real Red card stock, embossed with the Happy Heart E.F.
• I cut out 4 Real Red hearts with the Big Shot and the Love Notes Framelits Dies and glued them to the cut out on the card front with glue dots.
• I cut out three circles with the Layering Framelits Dies, one in Basic Black, one in Real Red, and one on Whisper White.  This combo is mounted on the card front with dimensionals.

Hey Chick for my January 21, 2017 Class

Another cute card designed by me and my trusty assistant, Michelle Wallace.  Isn't it so cute?  
This set, Hey, Chick is not for sale.  No you cannot buy it, you can only get it for free.  That's right.  Place an order for a minimum for $50.00, and it is yours.  What can be better than Free, right?

Recipe:

• The base is a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of Chocolate Chip scored at 4 1/4.
• Next is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Tangerine Tango.
• Next is a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Whisper White.  I stamped it with Early Espresso ink and a very, old stamp set called, Chicken Wire.  I do not have the newest Hexagon Dynamics Textured Impressions embossing folder, yet, on my wish list.
• The chickens are stamped on a 2 3/8 x 1 3/4, and a 2 3/8 x 1 3/8 piece of Whisper White with Early Espresso ink, and mounted onto a 2 1/2 x 1 7/8, and a 2 1/2 x 1 1/2 piece of Chocolate Chip card stock.  
• The chickens are colored with the new coloring pencils, and blended with Blender Pens.
• Results-A happy card for anyone.

One Wild Ride and Best Badge Punch for my January 21, 2017 class

The One Wild Ride stamp set is not just for the guys in your life, I see lots of ladies out sporting about on a Harley.  So, when you see a card like this one, think "outside the box", and imagine giving it to just about anyone, even me, and I don't own a motorcycle.

Recipe:

• The base is a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of Basic Black, scored at 4 1/4.
• Next is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Island Indigo.
• Next is a 3 3/4 x 2 piece of Silver Foil, embossed with the Sparkle embossing folder.  
• Next is a 3 3/4 x 2 1/2 piece of Basic Black layered under a 3 1/2 x 2 1/4 piece of Whisper White.  This is the piece on which I stamped the motorcycle.
• The words are stamped with black ink on Island Indigo card stock and punched out with the Best Badge Punch. Next I stamped the same words on Whisper White card stock with black ink, punched this out with the Best Badge Punch, and trimmed the edges with my paper snips.  I used an Island Indigo marker to color the word Journey.
• I popped up both the motorcycle and the words with dimensionals.  
• All done, and really easy.

Beautiful You 

Beautiful You is a 13 piece stamp set in the Stampin' Up! 2017 Occasions catalog, and it is, as the name implies, beautiful.  It covers at least nine different occasions, from birthday to sympathy, and it is a set I know I can use for a long time.  
I CASEd this card from Mary Fish's blog, Stampin' Pretty, and you can see her card Here.  
I stamped directly on the By the Shore DSP with Dapper Denim ink.  Who would have thought that DSP titled "By the Shore" could be used for such an elegant card.  Amazing, isn't it?
I am offering this one at my January 21, 2017 class.

Recipe:

• The base is a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of Dapper Denim scored at 4 1/4.
• Next is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Soft Sky.
• Next is a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Very Vanilla.
• Next is a 3 5/8 x 2 5/8 piece of Dapper Denim, and I stamped my image onto a 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 piece of By the Shore DSP with Dapper Denim ink.  I glued my dsp to the Dapper Denim with snail, and popped up this combination with dimensionals.
• I stamped the words with, what else, Dapper Denim ink, and all done. Quick, easy and elegant.

The next best thing to free, is well, free.  This fun stamp set could be yours with an order of $50.00, yes it can. I made two quick cards to showcase this free stamp set, oh, did I mention it was free?  It is called So Very Much and comes in either wood mount or clear mount. Recipe:

• The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4.
• The next layer is 5 1/4 x 4 and I stamped thank you with the ink that coordinates with the card stock.
• The background card stock under the words is 4 x 3 3/4, and the Whisper White piece for the words is 3 3/4 x 3 1/2.
• The 3/8" Silver Metallic Ribbon is part of a twin pack that is free when you place an order for $50.00. It is really great ribbon too.
• For the bling I added a few Brights Sequins.  For the top card I used a Boho Blossoms punch (retired) to make the little flowers, and added a rhinestone basic jewel to each punched flower.  The Blossom Bunch punch would have worked even better, and it's on my wish list.

Gift from the Garden, Papillon Potpourri, and Avant Garden for my January, 2017 classes

Another masterpiece designed by me and my trusty assistant, Michelle Wallace.  Isn't it so cute?  It doesn't matter to me that I don't particularly care to garden, (say it isn't so, right?), or it's not really my birthday, I would still love to open my mailbox one day and find this card waiting, wouldn't you?

Recipe:

• The base is a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of Cajun Craze, scored at 4 1/4.
• Next is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Old Olive.
• Next is a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Very Vanilla.
• To make the brick wall, I cut a 3 3/4 x 2 piece of Tip Top Taupe, ran it through the Brick Wall Embossing Folder, trimmed it with paper snips, and sponged with Tip Top Taupe ink.  I glued this piece to my Very Vanilla with Tombow Liquid Glue.
• I stamped each of the following on Very Vanilla card stock and used my paper snips to fussy cut: 
• Boots with Perfect Plum ink 
• Shovel with Early Espresso ink
• Flower Pots with Cajun Craze ink
• I stamped the butterfly on the Very Vanilla with Daffodil Delight ink, then stamped again on a scrap piece of card stock, and punched it out with the Bitty Butterfly punch.  I glued it to the card stock with a glue dot.
• For the flower pots, I used my Old Olive, Cajun Craze, and Perfect Plum SU markers to color directly on the stamp.  After stamping the design on my Very Vanilla, I covered the flower pot with one that I had previously stamped and fussy cut.  I used a dimensional to pop it up.
• I stamped the Happy Birthday Wishes in Early Espresso ink.  This beautiful stamp is from a Sale-a-Bration set called, Avant Garden.  It will be free with a $50.00 purchase beginning January 4, 2017.

Layering Love and Desktop Calendars 

Happy New Year!  

Today I want to show you just a few of the many desktop calendars I have been making.  
I got this idea from Erica Gerwin's blog, Pink Buckaroo Designs, and you can see her calendars Here, post of January 1, 2016.
I am making these calendars for my Hostess Club members, my downline, my customers, and all of my class attendees.  It's just a small way to show my appreciation and gratitude for all they do to help make my Stampin' Up! business successful.  

 

I used Affectionately Yours Specialty DSP, and the coordinating card stock colors to make the one above.  You can find this beautiful DSP in the 2016-17 Annual Catalog, page 172.

I used Petals & Paisleys Specialty DSP, (from the 2016-17 Holiday Mini), and the coordinating card stock colors to make the one above.  Sadly, this DSP is going away January 3, 2017. 

I used Party Animal DSP, for this one (above).  It is in the new 2017 Occasions Mini and will available January 4. 

The one on the left (above) used Succulent Garden DSP, new in the 2017 Occasions Mini and will available January 4. The one on the right was made with Festive Birthday DSP.  You can find Festive Birthday DSP in the 2016-17 Annual Catalog, page 173.

To make your own desktop calendar, you start out with a basic card front, 4 1/4" x 11", and fold in half.  To create the folded inside, you need a piece of cardstock that measures 4 1/4" x 4". Score it on the shorter side at 1/2", 2", and 3 1/2".  Fold it so that the larger peak points up as do the ends and adhere inside the card. It fits into a regular A-2 envelope, and you will need a 2 ounce stamp.

My calendars came from Vippees Calendars, and you can purchase them Here.  It's the largest self-stick calendar, 3 x 2 1/4.
