Birthday Blooms,
Lots of Love, and
A Mother's Flair
Lookee here, the Swirly Snowflake dies are more than just for Christmas.
Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2  piece of Rose Red scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Wisteria Wonder layer is 5 1/2 x 4, and cut with the Swirly Snowflake dies, then adhered to the Rose Red base with snail adhesive.  The Big Shot Die Brush is used to remove the little dots of cardstock after die cutting.
  • The Very Vanilla layer is 5 1/4 x 3 7/8 and also cut with the Swirly Snowflake dies, then adhered to the Wisteria Wonder layer with snail adhesive.
  • The rose from Birthday Blooms is stamped twice.  First on Very Vanilla and again on Rose Red cardstock, and both with Rose Red ink. Both rose blooms are cut out with my wonderful Stampin' Up! paper snips.  The Very Vanilla rose is cut super close to the outline, and the Rose Red background is cut so that I had a small edged background.  I also cut away some of the flowers and leaves from the rose.  These two pieces are adhered with snail, and popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I used watercolor pencils and a blender pen to color my rose.
  • The little Wister Wonder leaves are from the Lots of Love stamp set, (though any stamp set that has leaves would work), and the words from A Mother's Flair are stamped with Rose Red ink.  The little Rose Red flowers near the scalloped edges are from Birthday Blooms.
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.
  • All done!!!

Hold On To Hope
for my
March 2018 classes
I am offering this lovely card at all of my March 6, March 8,  and March 10, 2018  classes.  (Click on any one of the dates for more information).  I'm excited to share this wonderful stamp set and coordinating dies.
I used Fresh Fig to make my sample for class, then I discovered, almost any color of cardstock will work with this design and theme.  I especially like this card, because it uses very few products.  Bonus there, right!!

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2  piece of Fresh Fig, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Whisper White layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Fresh Florals DSP layer is 5 x 3 3/4 and adhered to the Whisper White layer with Tombow snail adhesive.
  • The largest Whisper White layer for my focal point is 3 3/4 x 2 7/8, then the Fresh Fig layer is 3 5/8 x 2 3/4, and the Whisper White piece on which I stamped my cross, and borders in Fresh Fig ink is 3 1/2 x 2 5/8.
  • The silver cross is cut from a 3 x 2 piece of Silver Foil, and glued over my stamped cross with a Fine-Tip glue pen.
  • The God is Love banner is stamped with Fresh Fig ink on a scrap of 3 x 1 piece of Whisper White and cut out with the Cross of Hope Framelits Dies.  I glued it to my card with dimensionals.
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.
  • All done!!!

Paper Piecing with You've Got Style &
Five for All

You've Got Style is a darling and funny set of seven stamps, and you can find it on page 47 of the 2017-18 Stampin' Up! Catalog.  I had a lot of fun putting this card together.

Recipe:
  • The base is a 8 1/2 x 5 1/2  piece of Emerald Envy, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Peekaboo Peach layer is 5 1/4 x and is dry embossed with the Cable Knit Embossing Folder.
  • The 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 piece of Naturally Eclectic DSP is adhered to the Peekaboo Peach layer with Tombow liquid glue.
  • My focal point is a 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 piece of Whisper White, and my sweet lady is stamped with Tuxedo Memento Black ink.
  • The Emerald Envy piece under the Whisper White layer is 3 5/8 x 2 5/8.  After I glued these to pieces together with snail, I put dimensionals on the back of the Emerald Envy piece to give my focal point a 3-d effect.
  • I  paper pieced my lady by stamping her two times.  Once on the Whisper White, and again on a piece of the Naturally Eclectic DSP.  I then cut out her coat and part of her hat, and glued them to her with Tombow liquid glue.  I colored her drink, earrings and shoes with Stampin' Write Markers.  I used a Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to give her "fur" some sparkle.
  • The present is from the Birthday Delivery stamp set.  I stamped it on Whisper White, colored it with my Stampin' Write Markers, cut it out with my fantastic Paper Snips, and glued it to her hand with a dimensional.
  • The Happy Birthday! came from Five for All, and I stamped it with Tuxedo Memento Black ink on Whisper White.  I cut the ends with my Paper Snips, as well as the Emerald Envy under it.  I used dimensionals to glue this combination to the card.
  • I stamped the inside with words from the Five for All  stamp set and Tuxedo Memento Black ink.
  • Don't forget to decorate your envelope.
  • All done!!!
