 Happy Hedgehogs

I wanted to showcase an example of Happy Hedgehogs.  It is in the 2022 Spring Mini catalog from Stampin' Up!  And, fortunately, this set is carried over to the 2022-23 Annual Catalog, and I say Yeah!!!
Since my basement/craft room/classroom is still not in order it is harder to make all the cards I want to.  So, my sweet friend, Wendie, came to the rescue.  Many thanks to you Wendie Jamison for this cute and easy card.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Real Red, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Soft Suede layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The So Saffron layer is 5 x 3 3/4.
  • The Basic White layer is 4 3/4 x 3 1/2, and the images are stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored with Stampin' Blends.
  • Wendie wrapped some Linen Thread around the top three layers before adhering them to the base.
  • Five Rhinestone Basic Jewels are added.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

 Honeybee Home,
Stitched So Sweetly Dies &
Hive 3D Embossing Folder

So, here's the deal: our hot water heater malfunctioned and flooded my basement/classroom last month, and it's going to be a while before my classroom is ready for classes and my favorite, making cards.
My wonderful friends who stamp with me and come to my classes have been so generous and are making cards to post here on my blog.  This card was made by my sweet friend, Wendie Jamison.  Thank you, Wendie, you are the best.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Evening Evergreen, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Daffodil Delight layer is 5 1/4 x 4 and is embossed with the Hive 3D Folder.
  • Wendie used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies, (retiring 5/2/2022), Pacific Point, Basic Black, and Basic White cardstock to cut the the pieces for the words.  The words are stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.
  • The flower and bees are stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, colored with Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen and cut out with the Honeybee Blooms Dies.
  • The bow and ribbon wrapped around the card is some Evening Evergreen Chevron Weave. (Retiring 5/2/2022).
  • To finish, three Rhinestone Basic Jewels are added to the card.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

 Hats Off &
Dressed to Impress

Another fun Hat's Off Card.  See my post of March 31, 2022, for the masculine card I am offering at my Creative Therapy Card classes on May 17 & 21.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Basic Black, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Granny Apple Green layer is 5 1/4 x 4 and is embossed with the Stitched Greenery Die.
  • The Pattern Party DSP pieces are 2 1/2 x 1 1/4 and are glued behind the 3 3/4 x 3 1/2 piece of Basic White.
  • The words, from Dressed to Impress, (retiring 5/3/2022) are stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a 4 x 1 1/4 piece of Crushed Curry.
  • The cap is cut out with Flirty Flamingo cardstock and a die from the Hat Builder dies.  I cut out the cap again with a piece of the Pattern Party DSP, trimmed away the beak of the cap and glued it to Flamingo cap with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  • The flower is made by punching the leaves and flowers with Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green and the Strawberry Builder Punch, (retiring soon).  I embossed these pieces with the Tasteful Textile folder (retiring) and adhered the pieces together with glue dots and popped all up with a dimensional.  I finished by adding 3 Rhinestone Basic Jewels
  • All done!!  Now, how easy is that.  And remember to decorate your envelope.

Sunny Sentiments

My friend Helen pointed me to a card sketch that I really liked, and here is my take on the sketch.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Evening Evergreen, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Soft Succulent layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Basic White layer is 5 x 3 3/4 and is embossed with the Gingham Folder.
  • The next 3 3/4 x 1 1/4 piece of Soft Succulent is the base for the 3 3/4 x 1 Pansy Petals DSP.
  • The three pieces of Pansy Petals DSP are 2 x 7/8 and the flags are punched with the Banners Pick A Punch.
  • The words are stamped with Evening Evergreen ink on Basic White and punched with the Lovely Me Label Punch.  I punched a second label with Soft Succulent, adhered them together and trimmed the sides with my Paper Snip Scissors.  I popped up both of these pieces with dimensionals.
  • All done!!  Now, how easy is that.  And remember to decorate your envelope.
