Coffee with Friends for my September 2023 Creative Therapy Classes

I am offering this card at both of my September 2023 Creative Therapy Classes.
I actually CASEd it from Amy Koenders blog, and you can see her card Here, post of June 11, 2023. I basically made my card like Amy's, because I was so impressed with her finished design.

Recipe:

  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Balmy Blue, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The next Balmy Blue layer is 5 3/8 x 4 1/8 and is embossed with the Exposed Brick 3D folder.  Adhere this to the card base with liquid glue.
  • The Basic White is 5 1/8 x 3 7/8 and the image is stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  Stamp your image as low as you can on the Basic White so when you adhere the cut out Soft Sea Foam, Cathy and Claire's legs are just barely showing.  (FYI, I named my two ladies!!!)
  • I colored my image with the same blends as Amy, Light and Dark Crumb Cake, Balmy Blue, Pebbled Path, Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, and the Ivory & Bronze.
  • Sponge the Basic White with Balmy Blue ink and adhere to the embossed Balmy Blue layer.
  • I used the largest Grove Die and a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Soft Sea Foam to cut out the trees.  I positioned the die on the cardstock so there is at least 3/8" of cardstock showing on the bottom, to hide Cathy and Claire's legs.
  • Cut away one of the trees on the right side of the Soft Sea Foam cut-out cardstock.
  • Adhere the Soft Sea Foam with dimensionals.
  • Stamp the words from Coffee with Friends with Versamark on a piece of Pebbled Path, and heat emboss with white powder.  Cut it out with a Countryside Corner die.  Add some Linen Thread and dimensionals behind this piece, and I added one Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dot.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

Season of Chic for my September 2023 Creative Therapy Classes

I am offering this card at both of my September 2023 Creative Therapy Classes, and it so easy and quick to put together.
Also, there are many YouTube videos on the internet to explain how to put together this kind of card. So much fun.

Recipe:

  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Night of Navy, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Moody Mauve layer is 5 1/4 x 4 and adhered to the base.
  • The Countryside Inn DSP is 5 x 3 3/4.  Do not adhere this to the Moody Mauve yet.
  • The words from Season of Chic are stamped with Night of Navy ink on a 2 1/8" piece of Basic White and cut out with a Stylish Shapes Die.  Adhere this to the center of the DSP.
  • I cut 1/4" strips of Moody Mauve and adhered them around the word square.  When done cut the ends of the strips to be even with the dsp.  Adhere this piece to the Moody Mauve.
  • Add a bow made from the Sweet Sorbet Ribbon with a glue dot.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

Days to Remember, Petal Park & Sentimental Park for a sweet
Birthday Card

A fun, personalized birthday card without having to purchase the tear-off calendars.
The Days to Remember Stamp set is so easy to use, of course, that was after I watched a YouTube video. 😊

Recipe:

  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Melon Mambo, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Bubble Bath layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Delightfully Eclectic DSP is 5 x 3 3/4.
  • I stamped the calendar with Pretty Peacock ink, the days of the week with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, and the month with Melon Mambo ink on a 3 3/4 x 2 1/2 piece of Basic White.  I cut this out with the 5th from the largest of the Deckled Rectangle Dies.
  • The Melon Mambo base for this piece is 4 x 2 5/8.
  • The flowers, from Petal Park, are stamped with Melon Mambo and Bubble Bath ink.  The leaves are stamped with Old Olive and Mossy Meadow ink, and all are punched using the Petal Park Punch.
  • I added Rhinestone Basic Jewels in the flowers.
  • The words, from Sentimental Park, are stamped with black ink and added with dimensionals.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

  Horse & Sleigh Stamps and
One Horse Open Sleigh DSP

This card was one of the easiest cards I have made in a while.  I used the Stylish Shapes Dies for the circles, however, a circle punch or any other circle dies would work fine.

Recipe:

  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Petal Pink, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Pebbled Path layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The One Horse Open Sleigh DSP is 5 x 3 3/4, and I used a Stylish Shape Die to cut the center from this piece.
  • I cut a Petal Pink circle with a Stylish Shape Die and adhered the cut-out DSP circle to it. I adhered these two pieces together and added them to the card with dimensionals.
  • I stamped a piece of vellum with Early Espresso ink and added it to the card front with liquid glue.
  • Three Metallic Brushed Dots are added.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

Wanted to Say Dies for a fun birthday card

Melon Mambo, Bubble Bath, Pretty Peacock,
Basic White,
Delightfully Eclectic DSP,
More Dazzle Specialty
 Paper.
Bubble Bath, Garden Green, Basic White,
Delightfully Eclectic DSP, More Dazzle Specialty Paper
I did not use any stamp sets to make these cards.  The Wanted to Say dies says it all and are easy to use.  See all the details below.

Recipe:

  • The bases are 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.
  • The next layers are 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The DSP is 5 x 3 3/4.
  • The Scalloped Contour Dies are cut from the second from the largest die.
  • The Deckled Rectangle Dies are cut from the 5th from the largest die.
  • Before I cut out the top layer of the happy birthday word, I added adhesive paper to the back of the cardstock.  That made it so easy to adhere it to the happy birthday shadow.  I popped this combination up with dimensionals.
  • I cut out the stars with the More Dazzle Specialty Paper and added them to the card with glue dots.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

Two-Tone Flora for my August 2023 Creative Therapy classes

Another offering for my August 8th and 12th, 2023 Creative Therapy classes. I CASEd this design from my very sweet friend, Wendie Jamison, and changed the colors to "make it my own". Thank you Wendie for sharing.

Recipe:

  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Lost Lagoon, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Daffodil Delight layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Basic White layer is 5 x 3 3/4 and is embossed with the Cane Weave 3D embossing folder.
  • I used the 4th and the 5th frames from the largest of the Deckled Rectangle Dies to cut out the Hello Irresistible DSP.
  • I adhered the 3 1/2 x 2 1/8 piece of the DSP (the inside of the frame) to my card with my favorite glue.
  • I put Adhesive Foam Strips on the back of the cut-out frame and adhered it to the card front.
  • The flowers are stamped with Lemon Lolly and Crushed Curry inks and cut out with the Two-Tone Flora dies.  I used a Pecan Pie Stampin' Write Marker to make stems in the middle of both flowers.
  • I punched out two leaves with the Bough Punch and Granny Apple Green cardstock.
  • I glued the leaves behind the flowers and added this combination to the card with dimensionals.
  • The words, from Very Best Occasions, are stamped with Pecan Pie ink on Basic White and cut out with a Stylish Shapes Die. This piece was added to a piece of Daffodil Delight that was also cut out with a Stylish Shapes Die.
  • I added three Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the center of the flowers.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.
