Band Together & Detailed Band Dies

I wanted to share a very quick and easy card, that I put together in literally 10 minutes.  

Recipe: 

• The Bermuda Bay base is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 and is scored at 4 1/4.
• The Petal Pink layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
• The Perennial Essence DSP layer is 5 x 3 3/4.
• The Petal Pink center die is cut from the Detailed Band dies.  
• The Whisper White oval is also cut from the Detailed Band dies.  The words are stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink, and is popped up with dimensionals.  
• All done, and remember to decorate your envelope.

Floral Essence &

 Healing Hugs

Some watercolor paper and embossing powder makes for a lovely card. 

Recipe:

• The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Old Olive scored at 4 1/4.
• The So Saffron layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
• The Rich Razzleberry is 5 x 3 3/4.
• The Watercolor paper is 4 3/4 x 3 1/2.  I stamped the flowers and leaves with Versa Mark, sprinkled on some white embossing powder, and used my heat tool to melt the powder.  After it was cool, I used an Aqua Painter, Rich Razzleberry & Old Olive ink to color the leaves and flowers.  
• The ovals are cut with the Layering Ovals Dies.
• The words are stamped with Rich Razzleberry ink and the words from Healing Hugs.
• I adhered the Old Olive layer to the card with liquid glue, then folded some Silver Metallic Edge ribbon under the scalloped oval.  Used dimensionals to pop up the 3 ovals.
• All done, and remember to decorate your envelope.

Sweetly Swirled &

Birthday Backgrounds

I wanted to share my three-stamp-set combination, and to introduce you to Edna, Anita, Stella and Hazel.  

 Recipe: 

• The Blushing Bride base is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 and is scored at 4 1/4.
• The Mossy Meadow layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
• The Whisper White layer, on which my background images are stamped with Blushing Bride and Mossy Meadow ink is 5 x 3 3/4.
• The Mossy Meadow scalloped circle and the Blushing Bride circle are cut out with the Layering Circle Dies.
• My ladies, Edna, Anita, Stella and Hazel (the cutie holding the cake), are stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, and colored with Stampin' Blends.  I would say I cut them out with my handy-dandy Paper Snips, but I didn't.  These ladies are cut out with my Brother Scan-n-Cut machine.
• All done, and remember to decorate your envelope.

Tasteful Textures 

Napkin Card

My sweet friend, Michelle Wallace, gave me one of her Flamingo napkins she received from a friend.  Friends are great, aren't they?  This is what I did with it.  So quick and easy.

Recipe:

• The Mossy Meadow base is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 and is scored at 4 1/4.
• The Grapefruit Grove layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
• The next layer of Whisper White is the base on which the napkin is glued.  I used liquid glue, but not too much. 
• I glued the Whisper White/Napkin piece to the Grapefruit Grove layer and wrapped some Mossy Meadow twine (from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Pack) around three times.  Then I glued this combination to the base.  
• I stamped the words from Tasteful Textures in Mossy Meadow ink on Whisper White and cut it out with a die from the Layering Circle dies.  I backed this circle with a piece of Crushed Curry.
• All done, and remember to decorate your envelope.

For the Love of Felt Project Kit Class

I am so excited, and I'll tell you why.  I'm going to have a get together on Saturday, July 27, 2019, from 9:30 a.m. to about 1:00 p.m. with anyone who would like to come and complete their For the Love of Felt Project Kit.  All for free.  That's right, absolutely free.

What's the catch?  Nada, nothing.  No need to purchase the coordinating stamp set or inks either. I will have them available for your use, as well as scissors and bone folders.  How about that!!

You will want to bring your adhesives, glue dots, dimensionals, stuff like that.  Also, a snack or lunch, because, after all, crafting does make one hungry, right?

Good Morning Magnolia in Blushing Bride

I saw this card on Donna Ross's blog, Stamped Sophisticates.  You can see her card Here, post of May 7, 2019.

Recipe:

• The Night of Navy base is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 and is scored at 4 1/4.
• The Blushing Bride layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
• The next layer of Night of Navy is 4 1/4 x 3, and is the base for the 4 1/8 x 2 7/8 Blushing Bride layer.
• To stamp the flower, place the smaller piece of Blushing Bride on the larger Blushing Bride, stamp the flower with Night of Navy ink and color with Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen.
• Place the Night of Navy piece under the Blushing Bride, stamp your words and add sequins.
• All done, and remember to decorate your envelope.
