 Quiet Reflection

The Quiet Reflection stamp set is an on-line purchase, and it makes a beautiful sympathy card.  This is my version, and I hope you like it.

Recipe:
  • The 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 base of Shaded Spruce cardstock is scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Night of Navy layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The 5 x 3 3/4 Basic White is embossed with the Dashing Designs 3D folder.
  • I wrapped the ribbon around the combined Basic White and Night of Navy layers, then added all to the base.
  • I inked one-half of the stamp with Shaded Spruce ink, then inked the other side of the stamp with Night of Navy ink, (I did this by tapping the stamp on the edge of the ink pad), then stamped this on a piece of Basic White cardstock.  I cut this out with the 6th from the smallest Deckled Circles Dies.
  • I cut a Night of Navy circle with the 7th from the smallest of the Deckled Circles Dies.
  • I adhered these circles to the card front with dimensionals.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

Simply Zinnia, Adorning Hearts & Wildly Flowering DSP

Fun playing with circles.

Recipe:
  • The 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 base of Wild Wheat cardstock is scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Moody Mauve layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Very Vanilla layer is 5 x 3 3/4.  The words, from Simply Zinnia, are stamped with Early Espresso ink and then I embossed this piece with the Distressed Tile folder.
  • I cut three 2 1/2" squares from the Wildly Flowering DSP.  I used gold embossing powder to heat emboss the DSP with the small flower image from the Adorning Hearts stamp set.  I punched these pieces with a 2" circle punch.
  • Next, I cut out three circles using the Spotlight on Nature Dies.  Then I used a 1 3/4" circle punch to cut out the center of these circles.
  • I adhered the 2" DSP circles to the back of the Spotlight on Nature die cut circles with Multipurpose glue.  The two circles under the middle circle are adhered directly to the card, and the middle circle is added with dimensionals.
  • I added three Rustic Metallic Adhesive Dots, (retired).
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

 Thoughtful Wishes for a
fun fold birthday card

When I saw this card on Lisa Ann Bernard's blog, Queen B Creations, I knew I had to make one. Also, Lisa has a great video that is easy to follow.  If you would like to see her card and watch her video, please click Here, post of 9/8/2023.
I used a retired stamp set for my letters, Sophisticated Serifs, and the Postage Stamp punch I used is retired, however, other alphabet stamps, dies or punches would work great.

Supplies I used:
  • 1- 4 1/4 x 11 Coastal Cabana, scored at 5 1/4 & 10 1/2.
  • 1- 4 1/4 x 10 1/2 Coastal Cabana, scored at 5 1/4.
  • 2- 1 1/2 x 10 1/2 Granny Apple Green, scored at 5 1/4 & 2 5/8.
  • The five pieces of 5 x 4 DSP is from Dandy Designs (on the retirement list at a reduced cost).😊 See it Here.
  • I stamped the letters with Shaded Spruce ink on Basic White and cut them out with the Postage Stamp Punch and adhered each to a 2 1/8 x 1 1/2 layer of Shy Shamrock.
  • Front:  Basic White is 1 1/2 x 5.  Letters from Sophisticated Serifs are stamped in Shaded Spruce and backed with a 1 5/8 x 5 piece of Shy Shamrock.  The flowers and vines behind this piece are from Thoughtful Wishes Dies, cut out with Granny Apple Green, Petunia Pop, and Basic White.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

Timeless Charm Bundle & Unbounded Love

I do not think I am alone when I say it is confusing to keep up with current and retired products from Stampin' Up!  Some are on-line only, some are in the catalog only, and some products are in the catalog and on-line. So, I truly did not realize that the Timeless Charm Bundle was retired when I made this card.
The good news, any stamp set with a flower would work great for this technique.
So much fun, so little time.

Recipe:
  • The 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 base of Pecan Pie cardstock is scored at 4 1/4.
  • The 5 1/4 x 4 layer of Peach Pie is embossed with the Dashing Design folder.
  • The flower from Timeless Charm is stamped on a 4 1/2 x 3 Basic White layer and colored with Peach Pie and Old Olive Blends.
  • I sponged a 4 1/8 x 2 1/2 piece of Basic White with Calypso Coral ink and glued it to a 4 1/4 x 2 5/8 piece of Calypso Coral.
  • I used the flower die from the Timeless Charm dies to cut out the flower aligning the die over the stamped image.
  • I stamped the words from Unbounded Love with Tuxedo Memento Black ink and added a Brushed Brass Butterfly.
  • I added Dimensionals to this combination and adhered it to the 4 1/2 x 3 Basic White piece lining the cutout with the stamped flower.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

So Sincere Stamp Set & Layered Florals Embossing Folder

http://
My main focus for this card is the Layered Florals embossing folder.  So easy and works with many color combinations.

Recipe:
  • The 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 base of Shy Shamrock cardstock is scored at 4 1/4.
  • The layer of Shaded Spruce is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The 5 x 3 3/4 Soft Seafoam layer is embossed with the Layered Florals 3D folder.  Then I used a Sponge Dauber & Shaded Spruce ink to "color" the debossed side of the Soft Seafoam cardstock.
  • I adhered this layer to the Shaded Spruce, and this combination to the Shy Shamrock base.
  • I cut out a 2 3/4 Night of Navy circle with a Spotlight on Nature die.
  • I stamped words from So Sincere in Night of Navy on Basic White and punched it out a 2 3/8" circle punch.  I added this to the Night of Navy circle with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and added all to the card front with dimensionals.
  • To finish off my card, I added three Ombre Matte Decorative Dots
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

  Celebrate Independence
with Light the Sky &
Wanted to Say Dies

A quick & easy card made with Light the Sky celebrating July 4th.  This would also make a cute birthday card.

Recipe:
  • The 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 base of Night of Navy cardstock is scored at 4 1/4.
  • The layer Real Red is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The 5 x 3 3/4 Basic White layer is stamped with Night of Navy & Real Red ink.
  • After I glued the Basic White and Real Red cardstock together, I wrapped some Silver Trim around both pieces, the adhered all to the base.
  • I used some Night of Navy and Silver Glimmer Paper (retired) to cut out the word Celebrate.  I glued them together, added dimensionals and adhered them to the front of the card.
  • To finish the card, I added Rhinestone Basic Jewels to each "firework".
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.
