Christmas Pines for my October, 2016 Paper Therapy Classes

I used Christmas Pines to make this beautiful card, and I am offering it at all of my October 4, October 6, and October 8, 2016 classes.
It is actually very easy to make, and the gold foil pine cones makes the card "pop".
Recipe:
  • The base is a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of Crumb Cake, scored at 4 1/4.
  • Next is a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Cherry Cobbler.
  • Next is a 4 3/4 x 3 1/2 piece of Very Vanilla.
  • I stamped the Very Vanilla with Crumb Cake ink using the snowflake stamp in the set.
  • I stamped some pines directly on the Very Vanilla with Old Olive ink, and used the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies to cut out a few pines with Old Olive card stock.
  • The little "leafy things" were cut out with Cherry Cobbler card stock and the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies.
  • The pine cones were cut out with Crumb Cake card stock, and then again with Gold Foil paper.  I used a Fine Tip Glue Pen to adhere the foil to the Crumb Cake pine cones, and popped them up with dimensionals.
  • The words were stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink.
  • Remember to decorate your envelope, can't leave the house naked, right?
If you have any questions, please let me know.

Jar of Haunts, Jar of Love, and a Happy Halloween

My assistant, Chelle Wallace and I, designed this Jar of Haunts card, and because it's so cute, I thought, why not offer it in all of my October 4th, October 6th, and October 8th classes.
Recipe:
  • The base is a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of Basic Black, scored at 4 1/4.
  • Next is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Pumpkin Pie.
  • Next is a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Pear Pizzazz.
  • The spiders, (from Jar of Haunts set), were stamped on the Pear Pizzazz with Tuxedo Memento Black ink, and a Basic Black marker was used to draw the dangle lines, then it was embossed with the Brick Wall embossing folder.
  • A 2 x 3 3/4 piece of Halloween Night DSP was glued to the embossed Pear Pizzazz, and then White Baker's Twine was wrapped around both pieces three times. Almost looks like the little skeleton buddy is hanging, huh?   Then these pieces were glued to the Pumpkin Pie with Tombow Liquid glue.  Then this combination was glued to the Basic Black with Tombow Liquid glue, and set aside.
  • The largest jar, from the Jar of Love set, was stamped with Tuxedo Memento Black Ink on Pumpkin Pie card stock, and was cut out with the Everyday Jars Framelits Dies. The face on the jar was stamped with Tuxedo Memento Black Ink, and it is from the Jar of Haunts.
  • The lid and smallest jar (both from Jar of Love set), were stamped with the same black ink on Pear Pizzazz card stock and cut out with the Everyday Jars Framelits Dies. The Happy Halloween words are from the Jar of Haunts stamp set.
  • The mummy jar was stamped with Memento Black ink on Whisper White card stock and cut out with the, you guessed it, Everyday Jars Framelits.
  • The little skeleton buddy, from the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set, was stamped with Memento black ink on Whisper White card stock and punched out with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.
  • The skeleton buddy was glued to the jar with snail adhesive, and all three jars were popped up with dimensionals.
  • The finishing touch was the google eyes.
  • Remember to decorate your envelope, can't leave the house naked, right?

Foxy Friends for September 2016 Hostess Club

Foxy Friends and the coordinating punch are so much fun to use, and my Hostess for this club's meeting, Sheila White, wanted to have a "Foxy" theme.
The top card is a fun fold, and the bottom is a miniature tissue holder made with the Envelope Punch Board.  All the products I used coordinate with the A Little Foxy DSP Stack.
Recipe:
  • The base is a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of Smoky Slate, scored at 2 3/4 & 5 1/2.
  • Next layer is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece and a 4 x 2 1/4 piece of Whisper White, and a 4 x 2 1/4 piece of Calypso Coral (front panel).
  • Next is a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Calypso Coral, and two pieces of A Little Foxy DSP, cut at 3 3/4 x 2.
  • The thinner strip is 1 1/4 x 11 of Whisper White, scored at 2 3/4 & 5 1/2, and then a 1 x 11 piece of Calypso Coral, scored at 2 3/4 & 5 1/2. After I scored the Calypso Coral, I cut off 1/8" from each end.  The DSP is 3/4 x 6 and I cut this piece as I went along, or to suite me.
  • I stamped with tree trunk with Soft Suede ink, and cut it out with my paper snips.
  • I punched two balloons with the Balloon Bouquet Punch, one in Pool Party, and one in Daffodil Delight.  I stamped each one with Tuxedo Memento Black ink, and Petite Pairs stamp set. I made two bows with Calypso Coral Baker's Twine and glued them to the balloons with glue dots.
  • I stamped Let's Celebrate from one of my favorite birthday stamp sets, Confetti Celebration, with Tuxedo Memento Black ink.
  • The Pool Party circle was cut with the Layering Circle Framelits, and the Whisper White circle was punched with a 2" circle punch.
  • I stamped the fox on the Whisper White circle with Cajun Craze ink, and stamped a second fox, (mostly his head), and punched it out, so I could pop it up and give my little fox a 3-D effect.
  • I stamped the foxes eyes, nose and legs with Tuxedo Memento black ink.
  • I made the tissue box holder with my Envelope Punch Board, and followed the directions from The Crafty Owl, and Box Buster.  You can find her Box Buster Here.  I started with a 7 1/4 square piece of Calypso Coral card stock, and punched and scored at the 3 5/8" mark, and the 5" mark.  I rotated my card stock to the left, and punched and scored at each previous score line.  I continued until I had punched and scored on all four sides.  I then cut off one of the sides that had the short corner, at the first score line. This is kind of hard to explain, and if you have any questions, please feel free to email me at:  angelsofjoy@gmail.com, or if you have time, search YouTube for Stampin Up! Tissue Holder.

Christmas Magic Train

I know Santa uses a sleigh and reindeer to deliver toys at Christmas, though, sometimes he needs a little extra help, hence, the Christmas Train, and the snow-like Mica Flakes.
I'm lovin' the stamps in the Christmas Magic stamp set from SU. In addition to the train and North Pole sign, there is a snowman, a Christmas Bell, trees, and three word stamps.   This set is a really good deal for only $20.00 in clear, and $28.00 in wood.
Recipe:

  • The base is a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of Night of Navy, scored at 4 1/4.
  • Next is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Smoky Slate.
  • Next is a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Whisper White.
  • I stamped the train and sign with Black Archival Ink and used a huge variety of makers to color them.
  • I added a little Tombow liquid glue to my card front and added the Mica Flakes, (after I stamped the train).
  • The words are stamped in Real Red Ink.
  • Remember to decorate your envelope, can't leave the house naked, right?
If you have any questions, please let me know.

Cookie Cutter Halloween, Suite Seasons, Vintage Leaves and guest designer, Wendie Jamison

At my class this past Saturday, my friend, downline, and very talented stamper, Wendie Jamison, took most of the "ingredients" from Acorny Thank You, (see post from September 4, 2016), and some stamped and cut-out Vintage Leaves, (that were just lying around), combined with the scarecrow from Cookie Cutter Halloween and made the card you see above.  Wendie's imagination has no limits. Who would have thought, right?
So, see what you can do with what you have right in front of you.  Amazing!!!
Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Garden Green scored at 4 1/4.
  • Next is a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Whisper White.
  • The leaves are stamped with Always Artichoke ink on Always Artichoke card stock, and Chocolate Chip ink on Chocolate Chip card stock, and cut out with the Leaflits Framelits Dies.
  • The little scarecrow was stamped with Memento Black ink, punched out with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch, and colored with lots of markers.
  • The words are from Suite Seasons (in the 2016-17 Holiday Mini), with Early Espresso ink.
  • Remember to decorate your envelope, can't leave the house naked, right?
