Christmas Pines and Fox Builder Punch by Guest Designer, Patty Safrit

I am the very privileged recipient of this beautiful Christmas card, designed and hand crafted by Patty Safrit.  Patty is one of my special, creative and talented downline.
I wasn't the only one to get one of these special cards. Patty made 50 of these as part of our card swap when we went to Brian King's World Card Making Day event in Atlanta, Georgia last month.

Recipe:
  • The base is a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of Dapper Denim, scored at 4 1/4.
  • Next is a 5 1/4 x 8 1/4 piece of Whisper White, scored at 4 1/8.
  • Next is a 5 x 8 piece of Dapper Denim scored at 4.
  • The background on the card is stamped with Dapper Denim ink and a stamp from Christmas Pines.
  • The pines, and lots of them, are cut with Whisper White card stock.
  • The pine cones are cut with Vellum card stock and again with Silver foil paper.
  • The tree is cut from Silver foil paper and from the Beautiful Branches Thinlits dies (recently retired).
  • The foxes are punched with the Fox Builder punch and Whisper White card stock, and sponged with Dapper Denim ink.

Framed Christmas Tree using Warmth & Cheer DSP stack
Pam Morris and Brian King offered a 3-D swap exchange at their World Card Making Day event in Atlanta, Georgia last month.  I did not get this cute framed tree, so I did the next best thing-I took a picture. It was made by Sarah Julius, and she has a Facebook page Here.

My plan was to get at least one of these made by Christmas, 2016.  Didn't happen, guess it will have to be my plan for Christmas 2017.

Recipe:
  • The frame is a 5 x 7.
  • The background paper is Cherry Cobbler.
  • Sarah used DSP from the Warmth & Cheer paper stack.

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.  2 Timothy 1:7 (NIV)

Halloween Scenes Edgelits, and Sweet Sugarplum card stock make a fun Christmas card.
I saw Roseanne Mulhern's Christmas Magic card on Pinterest, and just knew I had to CASE it. You can see Roseanne's card Here, and she is so wonderful, has every single detail written.  I didn't have the Fruit Stand DSP that she used, so I used a piece of DSP from the Playful Palette pack.  I really liked how Roseanne used the Halloween Scenes Edgelits for a winter scene fence. Clever, huh?

Recipe:
  • The base is a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of Sweet Sugarplum, scored at 4 1/4.
  • Next is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Whisper White.
  • Next is a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of DSP from the Playful Palette pack.
  • The tree is from Jar of Cheer (retiring on 1/3/17), stamped with Emerald Envy ink on Whisper White card stock, and cut out with my paper snips.
  • The snowman and snowgirl are from Christmas Magic (retiring on 1/3/17), and stamped with Tuxedo Memento black ink on Whisper White card stock, colored with markers, and also cut out with my paper snips.
  • The words are from Holly Berry Happiness and cut out with a die from the Layering Oval Framelits.  I also sponged the oval with Dapper Denim ink.
If you have any questions, please let me know.

The Second Project for my December, 2016 Hostess Club Project: Seaside Shore and Shaving Cream
Who would have thought you could make such a fun card with shaving cream and re-inkers?  Not me, for sure. Yet, I did, as well as all the wonderful ladies in my hostess Club. We all donned our rubber gloves, (can't risk getting our fingers all inked up, right?), and piled up paper plates with shaving cream.  Before I got started, I watched Amanda Fowler's video, and you can see it Here, and more inspiration came from Sarah Lancaster's video and you can it Here

Recipe:
  • The base is a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of Dapper Denim scored at 4 1/4.
  • I cut the center out of a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of By the Shore Designer Series Paper (DSP) with a Project Life Framelit, and I glued a 5 x 3 3/4 Window Sheet to the back of this DSP.
  • Next I tore the edge of a 5 x 2 piece of Crumb Cake card stock, sponged it, and stamped it with the bubbles from Seaside Shore stamp set with Crumb Cake classic ink. Glued it to the inside of the Window Sheet.
  • I used Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sky, Mint Macaron and Dapper Denim reinkers to color my shaving cream.
  • Next I dipped a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Whisper White card stock in the shaving cream.  After it dried, I stamped the words from Seaside Shore with Dapper Denim classic ink, and glued it to the back of my DSP/Window sheet combination, and glued this combination to my Dapper Denim card base.
  • I used Garden Green, Calypso Coral, Pool Party, and Dapper Denim classic ink and stamped images from Seaside Shore on Whisper White and Garden Green card stock.  Cut them out with my Paper Snips, and glued them to the inside and outside of my DSP.
  • Remember to decorate your envelope, can't leave the house naked, right?

Flower Shop, Petite Petals, and Butterflies Thinlits for my December, 2016 Hostess Club Project
I saw this card sketch using the Wax Paper resist technique on Gina K's YouTube channel, and had to try it.  It was so easy and fun, I offered it as a project, last week, to all of my wonderful Hostess Club ladies.  You can see Gina's video Here.

Recipe:
  • The base is a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of Tempting Turquoise scored at 4 1/4.
  • Next is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Whisper White.
  • Next is a 3 3/4 x 4 piece of Basic Black.
  • The 3 1/2 x 3 3/4 piece of Whisper White is the piece I used for the wax paper resist, and sponged it with Tempting Turquoise ink.
  • The butterfly was cut out with the Butterflies Thinlits dies and Basic Black card stock.
  • I used Whisper White card stock and Tuxedo Memento black ink to stamp the flowers, then sponged them with Tempting Turquoise ink.
  • I punched with leaves with the retired Bird Punch and Garden Green card stock.
  • The Congratulations was stamped with Tuxedo Memento black ink from the Floral Phrases stamp set.
  • Remember to decorate your envelope, can't leave the house naked, right?
