Game On for my February, 2021 Creative Therapy Card Classes

Game On is a stamp set in the 2020-21 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog that is great for anyone, especially for a masculine themed card.

I am offering this triple time stamping technique card for my February 2nd and 6th, 2021 card classes.  It's fun and quite different, plus this card uses very few supplies.

There are lots of how-to videos on YouTube, just search for Stampin' Up! triple time stamping technique.

Recipe:

  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Real Red scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Basic White layers are 5 1/4 x 4, 4 1/4 x 3 1/4, and 3 1/4 x 2 1/4.
  • The Basic Black layers are 4 1/2 x 3 1/2, and 3 1/2 x 2 1/2.
  • The images are stamped with Real Red and Basic Gray inks.
  • The words are stamped on Basic White and backed with Real Red, and these are punched with the Tailored Tag punch.  The red is cut in the middle, horizontally, and glued to the back of the Basic White, then popped up with dimensionals.
  • All done!!!  Remember to decorate your envelope.
Should you want to order any of the supplies I used to make this card, please just click Right Here to place your order in my on-line store, or you can click on the 2020-21 catalog right here on my blog.

 A Touch of Ink and

 True Love DSP

The True Love Designer Series Paper (DSP) is so wonderful, it makes beautiful cards without much else.  That would make an awesome card for very little dollars, and that's a plus!!!

I saw this design as a fun fold card on Peggy Noe's blog, Pretty Paper Cards, post of December 23, 2020, and you can see her card Here.

Recipe:

  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Basic Black scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Highland Heather layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The True Love DSP layer is 5 x 3 3/4.
  • The 4 x 1 3/4 Basic Black is the base for the 3 7/8 x 1 5/8 piece of Basic White.
  • The 2 1/2 by 1 1/4 horizontal Basic Black, is the base for the 2 3/8 x 1 1/8 piece of Basic White, on which the words from A Touch of Ink, are stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black ink.
  • The three flowers are fussy cut from the True Love DSP, with my handy-dandy Paper Snips, and colored with Highland Heather and Old Olive Stampin' Blends. The middle flower is popped up with dimensionals.
  • Wink of Stella is adhered to the centers of all three flowers.
  • All done!!!  Remember to decorate your envelope.

See the Good for my February, 2021 Creative Card Classes

Making cards, at least for me, is fun and gets my "creative juices" working.  I continue to enjoy learning, and each month, I like to share with my class attendees a technique.
This month it is double inking. So much fun.
I came across Tammy Wilson's, See the Good, post of June 11, 2020, and absolutely had to CASE it.  (Copy And Share Everything).  You can see her card Here.
See the Good is an unusual and rather different set in the 2020-2021 annual Stampin' Up! catalog, (page 79), and the words are especially what drew me to it.
I am excited to share this card at both of my February 2nd & 6th, 2021 Creative Card Making classes.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Early Espresso at 4 1/4.
  • The Basic White layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Granny Apple Green layer is 5 1/8 x 3 7/8, and is embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Folder.
  • The next Early Espresso layer is 4 3/4 x 3 1/4 and is the base for the 4 5/8 x 3 1/8 Basic White.
  • Each time I stamped the artichoke with Granny Apple Green, I used a Sponge Dauber to dab the edges and the middle of the artichoke with Pretty Peacock ink.  I then embossed it with the Subtle 3D folder.
  • I also added some speckling, by “flicking” the thick end of my Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker with the edge of the marker cap.  So much fun.
  • I used some Vellum, Old Olive, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso to make the stems and leaves behind the Stitched Nested Basic White cutout.
  • My words are stamped with Early Espresso ink and the stem is stamped with Granny Apple Green.
  • All done!!!  Remember to decorate your envelope.

 Berry Blessings &

Sweet Strawberry

To create this card, I used the same stamp sets and designer series papers (dsp) as I used in my previous post from January 20.  Look at the difference in the two cards.  So much versatility.
The Berry Blessings stamp set and Berry Delightful dsp are absolutely FREE, with a qualifying order of $100.00, and only until Feb 28, 2021.
If you would like to place an order and do not have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, please let me know, because I would like to assist you in anyway I can.
Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Rich Razzleberry, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Granny Apple Green layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The next two layers of Rich Razzleberry are 1 5/8 x 5 and are the bases for the two layers of 1 1/2 x 4 7/8 Berry Delightful dsp.
  • The Rich Razzleberry and Basic White layers are cut out with the Stitched Nested Labels Dies.
  • The Basic White is stamped with Rich Razzleberry, Granny Apple Green, and Highland Heather (stamped off),  and the words, from Sweet Strawberry, are stamped with Early Espresso ink.  These two dies are popped up with dimensionals.
  • All done!!!  Remember to decorate your envelope.

Art Gallery &

A Touch of Ink

For this card I used the above sketch, the Art Gallery stamp set,  the coordinating Fine Art Floral Designer Series Papers (DSP) and the new Painted Texture embossing folder.

I find designing from a sketch is both challenging and loads of fun.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Terracotta Tile scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Petal Pink layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Smoky Slate layer is 5 x 3 3/4 and is embossed with the Painted Texture folder.
  • The 3 1/8" square of Petal Pink is cut from corner to corner, and is the base for the 3" square of Fine Art Floral, also cut corner to corner.
  • The Terracotta Tile rectangle is 3 3/8 x 2 1/2 and is the base for the Petal Pink 3 1/4 x 2 3/8 layer.
  • The Basic White layer is 3 1/8 x 2 1/4.
  • The flower stamp is inked with Petal Pink.  Then I took a small wet paper towel and wiped away the ink from the stem, leaf and small little flowers.  I used Old Olive and Daffodil Delight markers to color on the stamp, gave it the "breath of life" (breathed on the stamp to moisten the ink), and stamped.  Next I stamped the three petals with Terracotta Tile, and a smaller stamp in the set.
  • The words are from A Touch of Ink, (free during Sale-a-Bration), and stamped with Tuxedo Memento Black ink.
  • I popped up this combination with dimensionals.
  • All done!!!  Remember to decorate your envelope.

A Touch of Ink is a beautiful set, and one can do lots with it.  It is from the Sale-a-Bration Mini, free with a $100 order, and is available until February 28, 2021.

  • The hummingbird is stamped with black ink on some Hydrangea Hill dsp, and cut out with my handy-dandy scissors.
  • The white ribbon, and the bow on the front is from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Pack.
