Kindness Gnomes for my August 2022 Creative Therapy Classes

I am offering this darling "anything you want it to be" card at both of my August 9th and 13th Creative Therapy classes. I am excited to share just how easy this card is to make.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Poppy Parade, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Sahara Sand layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Storybook Gnome DSP layer is 5 x 3 3/4.
  • The white circle is cut from the largest of the Stylish Shapes Dies.
  • The gnomes are stamped with Tuxedo Memento Black ink on Basic White and cut out with the Gnomes Dies.
  • The hats for the three gnomes are made by stamping the gnomes a second time on the Storybook Gnome DSP and cutting out the hats with my handy-dandy Paper Snip Scissors.  I added the hats to the gnomes with Multipurpose liquid glue.
  • The words are stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.
  • The three pretty jewels you see are from the Fine Sparkle Adhesive-Backed Gems collection.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

Sending Sunshine Bundle for my Creative Therapy Classes

This card was made with the Sending Smiles bundle and the Torn Paper Technique.  I saw several how-to videos on YouTube, and the one I found to be the best for me was from Rita Holmes, and you can see her video Here.
I am excited to share this technique to all who are attending my August 2022 classes.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Night of Navy, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Calypso Coral layer is 5 14 x 4.
  • The Butterfly Kisses DSP is 3 x 4.
  • The Basic White is 5 x 3 3/4.
  • I adhered the Coral to the Navy with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  • I tore the Basic White, just like Rita did😊 and glued the white to the Butterfly Kisses DSP.  Then glued this combination to the Coral.
  • Sending Dies:
    • I used a piece of a Foam Adhesive Sheet and adhered it to some Basic White cardstock.  I cut this out with a Sending Die.  By using a Foam Adhesive Sheet, it eliminates the need for dimensionals.
    • Then I adhered a piece of Night of Navy to a piece of an Adhesive Sheet and cut it out with the silhouette of the word Sending, peeled off the backing and adhered it to the Basic White cutout.
    • I removed the paper backing from the Basic White cutout and adhered it to the card.
  • The flowers and leaves are stamped with Crushed Curry and Parakeet Party, and the center of the flower is stamped with Night of Navy.  All are cut out with the Sending Dies and added to the card front with dimensionals.
  • The words are stamped with Night of Navy.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

 Wisteria Wishes &
Split Card Textures Dies

This is such an easy card, and I actually put it together in about 15 minutes.  There is no way I could have driven to the store, picked out a card, paid for it and got back home in 15 minutes.  Thank you Stampin' Up!  You are the best!!!

I want to give credit for the card to LeeAnn Greff.  You can see her card Here, post of June 21, 2022.  I was planning to change it up a little, you know, to really make my own, and as I was putting it together, there was nothing I wanted to change, except the ribbon.  Go figure.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Starry Sky, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Basic White layer is 5 x 3 3/4 and cut out with a Split Card Textures Die.
  • The four wisterias are cut out with Starry Sky and Orchis Oasis cardstock, and both are sponged with Starry Sky ink.
  • The leaves are stamped with Old Olive ink on Basic White and cut out with one of the Wisteria Dies.
  • The Evening Evergreen Open Weave Ribbon is added with glue dots.
  • The words are stamped with Starry Sky ink.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.
Should you want to order any of the supplies I used to make this card, please just click Right Here to place your in my on-line store, or you can click on the 2022-23 catalog right here on my blog.

Kindness Gnomes, Paradise Palms & Wonderful World

To CASE a card, (Copy And Share Everything), is the highest form of a compliment in my card-making world, and I want to give Su Mohr credit for this cutie.  You can see her card HERE, post of June 22, 2022.   I did change it up some and added a couple of layers.  I hope you enjoy today's post.

Recipe:
  • The bases are 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 pieces of Mint Macaron, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Orchid Oasis layers are 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Basic White layers are 5 x 3 3/4 and:
    • I first stamped the flower from Wonderful World in Orchid Oasis.  Wonderful World has coordinating DSP and is free with a $100.00 order during Sale-a-bration.  (July 1-August 30, 2022)
    • I stamped my little man with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and cut him out with one of the Gnome dies, (top two cards). Colored him with Mint Macaron, Crumb Cake & Orchid Oasis Blends.  Set him aside.  Stamped the grass (from Paradise Palms) in Old Olive ink, and popped up my little guy with dimensionals.
    • For the bottom card I stamped my little man directly on the card front with black ink, colored him with the same color of blends, and masked him.  I stamped the grass, and removed the mask.  Want to learn to mask?  YouTube has many videos, search Masking a Stampin' Up! card.  You ought to get lots of instructional videos.
  • For the top two cards:  the words are stamped with black ink on 3 1/4 x 7/8 pieces of Basic White.  I cut out these pieces with a Seasonal Labels Die. Sponged the edges, and popped them up with dimensionals.
  • For the bottom card I stamped the words with black ink on a 3 1/4 x 7/8 piece of basic white, sponged the edges, punched the ends with a Banners Pick-a-Punch.  I added a 3 1/2 x 1 1/8 piece of Mint Macaron as a base for this piece, and also punched the ends with the Banners Pick-a-Punch.  I adhered the white to the Mint with liquid glue and popped up this combination with dimensionals.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

 Window Wishes Bundle

It's a July class, so I decided to offer a Christmas in July card for my July 5th and 9th, 2022 Creative Therapy Classes.
This design is a collaborative effort between my wonderful assistants, Wendie and Michelle, and myself.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Mossy Meadow, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Pool Party layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Cajun Craze layer is 5 x 3 3/4 and is embossed with the Brick & Mortar Folder.
  • Window frame:
    • The Crumb Cake piece is 3 3/4 x 2 1/2, and the Early Espresso piece is 4 x 3.  After cutting out these two pieces with the Window Dies, adhere them together with your favorite glue.  Tip: Keep the glue on the outside edges of the cut-out window frame pieces.
    • Adhere a 3 3/4 x 2 1/2 piece of the Boughs of Holly DSP behind the window frame layer and adhere it to the embossed card front. (I glued the frame flat to the card front).
    • Vine--I used Mossy Meadow ink on Basic White, cut it out with a Window Die and adhered it over the window with dimensionals.  I added three Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
    • Candle Flames-I used Daffodil Delight cardstock and a Window Die.
    • Candle--stamp Pool Party ink on Basic White and cut this piece out with a Window die.  Adhere the flames to the back of the candle with glue dots and adhere all to the window with dimensionals.
  • I stamped the word Peace on a 7/8 x 1/2 piece of Basic White with Real Red ink.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.

 Paradise Palms &
Ocean Front

Another card I made using the Paradise Palms.  This time I combined it with Ocean Front.  So quick and easy, and most of all fun to make.  If you would like to see a quick video by Stampin' Up! using the Paradise Palms bundle, click right Here.

Recipe:
  • The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Night of Navy, scored at 4 1/4.
  • The Coastal Cabana layer is 5 1/4 x 4.
  • The Basic White layer is 5 x 3 3/4.
    • First, I used Ocean Front and Crumb Cake ink to stamp the sand.
    • I stamped the water with Coastal Cabana.
    • The sky is stamped with Balmy Blue.
    • I masked the water and stamped the sun with Daffodil Delight ink.
    • The tree trunks are stamped with Early Espresso ink, and the tree tops with Sahara Sand.
  • The words are stamped with Night of Navy ink on Basic White and punched out with the Label Me Fancy punch.
  • Before I added the word piece to the card front, and yes, my word piece is at an angle on purpose, I wrapped some Fan Navy Baker's Twine around the top two layers three times. I popped this piece up with dimensionals.
  • All done and remember to decorate your envelope.
