November 2012 Hostess Club Project

I am looking forward to showing all of my very special Hostess Club members how to combine heat embossing and the shaving cream technique at our club meeting this month.  I CASED the idea for this card from Michelle Zindorf, a super talented SU demonstrator, and changed a few things, you know, to make it my own.  It is definitely a one-of-a-kind card, because, with shaving cream and re-inkers your results are different every time.
Recipe:  Stamps:  Elements of Style, Fabulous Phrases;  Paper:  Whisper White, Lucky Limeade, and Tangerine Tango cardstock;  Ink:  Lucky Limeade, Tangerine Tango and Calypso Coral reinkers, Versamark ink pad;  Accessories:  Big Shot, Labels Framelits, Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, black embossing powder, heat tool, 5/8" Whisper White satin ribbon.

Another Version of Merry Minis

My plan is to find lots of ways to use the stamp set that is in the current Holiday Mini, Merry Minis , for two reasons, it is a really cute set, and so affordable. Just $11.95 in the clear mount and $14.95 in the wood mount. The best news, there is a coordinating punch.

I saw this sketch at: www.createwithgwen.com . It looked like Gwen used fabric on her card, which is a great idea. I wanted to combine the Snow Festival dsp with the Merry Minis set, so there you have it, my very own version.

Recipe: Stamps: Merry Minis, Perfect Punches; Paper: Whisper White, Midnight Muse, Raspberry Ripple, Gumball Green cardstock, Snow Festival designer series paper; Ink: Midnight Muse, Raspberry Ripple, Gumball Green; Accessories: Big Shot, Stripped embossing folder, Postage Stamp, 1 3/4" round scallop, 1 3/8" round, and 1" square punches, and dimensionals.

Petal Cone Die Birthday Box

I really do like cards, we all need them, right?  I like 3-D projects, boxes, bags and anything but a card too.  Meg Loven has a video tutorial to make this adorable box, and it was just too tempting not to try.  You can see her video here.  If you would like to order any of the supplies I used to make this darling box, please visit my SU website at:  www.lindafisher.stampinup.net

Creative Elements and Triple Time Stamping

Now, don't you think this is a really beautiful card?   Of course, you say.  This card was made using a technique by Dawn Olchefske called Triple Time Stamping.  You can see her how to video here.
I am offering this card at my August classes, and if you live in or near Graham, NC, please let  me know you would like to attend.  I'm always glad to welcome new folks.
Recipe:  Stamps:  Creative Elements, Thoughts and Prayers;  Paper:  Raspberry Ripple and Whisper White cardstock;  Ink:  Crumb Cake and Raspberry Ripple;  Accessories:  Adhesive
This card was so easy and fun, and I hope you visit Dawn's blog and make one yourself.

I hope you have enjoyed this post, thank you for stopping by and have a great day,

Owl Tissue Holders

Ok, now aren't these just the cutest little gifts, a little something for someone special, and it doesn't cost a fortune.  I found the pattern on one of my little rabbit trails, and it was from Jo Dumbleton.  You can find the pattern at:  www.stampin-n-stuff.blogspot.com.  I found the directions easy to follow and is well worth the $3.98 I paid for the pattern.
I used Real Red, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White cardstock for the Christmas Owl, and Bashful Blue, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Night of Navy, Old Olive, Real Red and Whisper White cardstock for the Get Well Owl.  Of course, the Owl punch for both.  If you would like to order any of the supplies to make this project, please visit my SU website at:  www.lindafisher.stampinup.net.

Hope you have enjoyed this post.  Thank you for looking and have a great day.
