Beautiful You
and Touches of Texture
and Touches of Texture
This beautiful card was designed by Retha Fulp, another one of my very talented friends, and offered at our last Shoe Box Swap (SBS) on June 3, 2017.
Our next SBS will be hosted by Dorriea Murphy in Hillsborough, NC, on August 5, 2017. Want to know how you can be a part of our fun SBS event? Please contact me by email at: angelsofjoy@gmail.com, or phone: 336-538-4996, and I'll fill you in with all the details.
In addition to the bi-monthly Shoe Box Swaps, I also hold Creative Paper Therapy classes each month. My next set of classes is July 11, July 13, and July 15, 2017. Click on anyone of these dates to see additional information.
Recipe:
- The base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Basic Black, scored at 4 1/4.
- The Smoky Slate layers are 5 1/4 x 4, and 2 1/2 x 4 1/4.
- The Real Red layer is 5 x 3 3/4, and I made my own background by using one of the stamps from Touches of Texture and Tuxedo Black Memento ink.
- The smaller layer of Basic Black is 2 1/4 x 3.
- The focal point is stamped on a 2 x 3 3/4 piece of newsprint that was sponged with Daffodil Delight and Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I colored the umbrella with Real Red and Smoky Slate markers.
- The ribbon is retired, though any gray or black ribbon will work just fine.
- The sentiment stamped on the inside is "wishing you brighter days to come".
- Don't forget to decorate your envelope.
- All done!!!
